professional looking tables

Dear context users: In latex I could make professional looking tables using booktabs module. Using longtable package I could make nice looking multipage tables. I see that context offers several table environments. Which one of them is suitable for making professional (publication quality) tables? The requirements for such tables are the follows: - Only horizontal rules are needed - Ability to set the rule's thickness for top rule, bottom rule, middle rule - Ability to set the distance between rules and table content - Ability to set rule length shorter than cell or row width on both left and right sides - Ability to set rules for spanning only some of the columns In addition, for multipage tables: - head row at the start of table - head rows at top on every page (possibly including first page) - foot row ate the end of table - foot rows at the end of every page (possibly including last page) Is this feasible in current context? columnsetspan extra line

Dear all, I'm struggling with the column environments these days. The code below runs fine, but there are some problems with the result. 1) There is an extra blank line at the top of the left column. I can get rid of it with a \vskip-\baselineksip (commented out in the example) but that feels like a hack. Does anyone see why it is there from the beginning? 2) Why is the frame something like 3 lines down from the top of the page? integral symbol

Strange numbers appear (when figures are moved in columnsets)

Hi! The example below gives strange numbers (4110) and (1410) in the pdf file, and the latter one kicks me out of the grid. new xml feature (for html lovers)

The tables are shifted to the left when compared with omitting the titles. In earlier versions of ConTeXt, no such shift happens. Do floatcombinations not work? Any feedback is welcome. Back on grid after displayed math

Hi! Im curious how to get back to the grid after a displayed formula? I try \setuplayout[grid=yes] \showgrid \setupformulas[align=middle] \starttext \input knuth \startformula a^2+b^2=c^2 \stopformula \input knuth \stoptext (where the \setupformulas[align=middle] was suggested in a comment at http://tex.stackexchange.com/questions/254815/grid-on-aligned-equations-in-… , but that makes no difference) but that does not work (result attached). Would it be easier if there were also an option saying how many lines the equation should take? Say, \startformula[lines=3] a^2+b^2=c^2 \stopformula and then centering the formula (or having options for that) vertically over the three lines? Maybe that is a not a good idea for some reason... /Mikael

btx/xml tree - entry with missing field

Hello I use the xml interface to list all publications that dont match a search criteria: /field[@name='keywords' and not (contains(text(),'alpha'))] but there are entries where the keywords field is missing. how can I include them (here "test-3") in the output? \copypages and page numbering

Dear all, I’m assembling into a unique pdf the proceedings of a conference. They have been created by various sw (latex, word, writer etc). In order to include the papers, I’m just using a series of commands like \copypages[CIMXXI_contributi/dapelo][][scale=950] They are not provided with page numbers, and I’m including them in the usual way. Now, most of the time it just works. All the papers should conform to a template, but in some cases, page numbers are not displayed, and this depends on the fact that the page setup in that paper has a greater height (or maybe a different crop area), so that it covers the page number. I would simply solve the problem by having the page number on top of the imported pdf. Is it possible?
