Thank you. The unicode text looked good (although reversed left-to-right as I sent it) in my sent mail, and it looked perfect (corrected right-to-left) in your response. But it did not look good in the digest email (all the letters were convered to ?'s). Also it's typesetting fine in ConTeXt except for the vowel placement. Any suggestions there? Thank you again. tabulate: header not repeated

Hello, 'tabulate' header is not repeated across pages, the header appears only at the begin of the 'tabulate'. joinedup in itemize changed?

Hi, has joinedup changed? At the moment it gives no white space before first item and last item _and_ pack it. See example. too many open files?

Dear, I’m compiling the new version of my manual on the SuperCollider language, using a project structure, and I’m including a lot of pdfs, as I’m automatically generating figures containing colorised code that have to included in the book. Btw I’m quite happy of the results! Thanks to devs for your work. Anyway, I’m stuck at this. I’m getting this error, seems related to the number of included pdfs </paperiProgetti/SC/introSC/code/controlli/map.pdfI/O Error: Couldn't open file '/paperiProgetti/SC/introSC/code/controlli/map.pdf': Too many open files. !LuaTeX error: xpdf: reading PDF image failed ==> Fatal error occurred, no output PDF file produced! What can I do? automatically adding commands to some characters

Dear list, with slashes and en-dashes I experience the following in ConTeXt: sometimes I need to add an \hskip0pt command after them to allow linebreaks. One example would be "Council Directive 93/98/EEC". The issue comes when using ConTeXt as target format from markdown sources. pandoc generates the file, but it makes no sense to edit the ConTeXt source. Is there any command that allows the addition of arbitrary commands when a character appears in text? I mean, a way that internally replaces "Council Directive 93/98/EEC" with "Council Directive 93/\hskip0pt 98/\hskip0pt EEC" Many thanks for your help, Pablo -- http://www.ousia.tk

Empty heads after leading whitespace

Hello, Here after is my problem: \setuphead[section][% placehead=empty, before=, after=] \setuphead[subsection][% placehead=yes, before={\blank[line]}, after={\blank[line]}] \setupheadertexts[section] \starttext \showframe \section{My section} \subsection{My subsection (whitespace before: )} % Here is my problem. \page \subsection{My subsection (NO whitespace before)} \stoptext The mechanism that automatically removes the leading whitespace at the top of a page doesn't work if there is an EMPTY head followed by another head (of a different level). How can I remove that whitespace? Best regards.

Position of integral limits

Hi, I notice today that in display math, \int_a^b places a and b completely below and above the integral symbol, rather than offsets them to the right at the bottom and top as LaTeX does by default. I also notice that I can use \int\nolimits to achieve the LaTeX result. Is this the supposed behavior of ConTeXt? Because I remember this was not the case 2 years ago. A new question on \definefallbackfamily

Hi, With the file below (and the latest Standalone) I get different output different times I compile. Sometimes the fourth 3 is bold and sometimes it is not (I don't want it to be bold). What is going on? I attach also the log files from a successful run (test.log) and a failure (test-error.log). Also, the pdf files are attached. (what I want is to use the light font as default and the regular one as bold...) Force two figures to appear on the same page

Dear ConTeXt list, I have multiple figures appearing in a single chapter which are roughly half a page in height. They would fit on top of each other. It seems as if context is only putting floats on top of each other if at least 2 lines of text fit underneath them. How to force two figures which fit on one page to also appear on one page? As you can see in the example below, the chapter would otherwise end with a lengthy list of figures. I'd prefer, if the chapter ends with text. If I'd use `force`, text would stop wrapping around the floats.
