Q about hangaround commands

Hi. I'm trying to figure out the limitation of \start/stophangaround commands. 1. Is it correct that currently the figure could be placed only on left? If so is it easy to extend the command to allow placing figure at right side? 2. Is there way to increase/decrease the space between the text and image? 3. Is it correct that hangaround command is tricky hack that change normal flow? I prepare simple example (it is attached). 1) is obvious from the example (default behavior I assume). 3): I got the '2.' not on left side as 1) and 3) but on left side of text block right after image. Another example if 3): if I put empty line between \starthangaround and \input (see the file) then there would be mess. P.S. I tried the example with MkIV only. --- WBR, Vladimir Lomov

TeXlive 2012 and letter module

Hi followers of ConTeXt, does something in the lettermodule in the texlive version and the minimal version of ConTeXt has changed, as both no longer recognize the \useletterextension[addrentry,label] \useaddressfile[addrfile] lines and complain about an unknown command, if yes, what would be the way to fix this, or is this functionallity finally droped? Throwing an error on missing image with \externalfigure

Hi :-) I'd like ConTeXt to raise an error if it can't find an image when using \externalfigure. I really don't want to check a potentially big document for missing images manually and while I could grep the log myself in an additional post processing step, I really want ConTeXt to do raise the error for me, not a potentially broken script written by me. I've seen the other thread: http://www.ntg.nl/pipermail/ntg-context/2011/059485.html but there is no answer there. I also expected a similar behaviour to "\input" which fails on a non existing file. My thinking was that there is either a switch for "context", i.e. like "-Werror" or a way to set context up from within the document, i.e. by telling it to be in a "final" mode. So my question is: How can I make ConTeXt raise an error on a non found image? Cheers, Tobi

Added licensing information to PDF

Hi :-) I am trying to switch from LaTeX to ConTeXt and I'd like to add licensing information to the generated PDF, just like what the "hyperxmp" package would do for LaTeX. Something like this: \setupinteraction[ title={My Title}, author={Tobias Mueller}, keyword={foo bar baz}, pdfcopyright={This work is licensed to the public under the Creative Commons Attribution-Non-Commercial-Share Alike 3.0 Germany License.}, pdflicenseurl={http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-sa/3.0/de/} ] \starttext Hello, World! \stoptext Thanks! 2 columns: 1 language per column

Hi, Is it possible today with mkiv, to automatically typeset one text (german) on the left column and the translation (french) on the right column (perhaps with streams)? And if yes, how? TIA for any help! -- Peter

Hi, Does it make sense, to port http://modules.contextgarden.net/t-degrade to mkiv, or is there already an existing solution in ConTeXt to downsample jpeg-images on the fly? TIA for any hints, -- Peter

alternative=d (right margin needed)

Hi, please have a look at the attached screenshot: there you see two TOC entries set alternative=d (after pagenumber 360 and 381). what can be done to make them stop at the vertical blue line, too? Thanks, Steffen -------

inheritance of footnotes

dear list, until some months ago it was possible to define/setup a series of notes and then use them as kind of interface, i.e. to let their copies inherit their setups yet be independent sets of notes – However now such copies seem to be get mereley added to the set of notes they are based upon. -- In the following minimal example none of the notes get printed when the "first" series of notes are not placed; on the other hand their respective "\placenotes"-commands are completely ignored. Thanks in advance! footnote numbers turn red
