Font goodies color schemes by Unicode number

Hi all, Was exploring font goodies and color schemes and so far works great, very nice feature, thanks Hans. Now I've to small questions/feature requests: Can color schemes be defined using Unicode code points, e.g.: { 0x064E, 0x064F } instead of glyph names (e.g. I'd like to have a font independent goody to color Arabic combining marks and no glyph substitution is involved so Unicode code points should work for most fonts). Second question, can it be (ab)used to color a whole font with the same color (can be handy sometimes), e.g. using a special wildcard or something: { "*" }. Regards, Khaled

Lettrine misbehaving in beta

Greetings, If you run the following example with the current beta you will see that the second and subsequent lines of the paragraph are pushed down below the extent of the drop cap. This behavior appeared sometime after 2011.10.24. Enumeration counter way bychapter

Hi list, in the following example, I want the enumerations to be numbered as 1.1 and 2.1, respectively. What am I doing wrong? Problem with external cross-references

Hello everybody, I'm trying to use external cross-references between two files but I can't make it work with MkIV. I am using ConTeXt current ConTeXt ver: 2011.05.18 18:04 MKIV fmt: 2011.7.31 int: english/english With MkII, the following minimal example works perfectly well : % file test_crossref1 \starttext \chapter[lorem]{Lorem} Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetur adipiscing elit \in{Chapter}[lorem]. \stoptext % file test_crossref2 \usereferences[test_crossref1] \starttext Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetur adipiscing elit \in{Chapter}[lorem]. \stoptext However with MkIV, I get an unknown reference (??) in test_crossref2 and the following lines in test_crossref2.log [...] system > references from other files are handled automatically [...] references > unknown reference [][lorem] [...] With % file test_crossref2 \starttext Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetur adipiscing elit \in{Chapter}[test_crossref1::lorem]. \stoptext I still get an unknown reference (??) and the following diagnosis in the log file [...] references > references from document 'test_crossref1' are not exported references > unknown reference [][test_crossref1::lorem] [...] However when I add the export option in the test_crossref1 file % file test_crossref1 \setupreferencing[export=yes] \starttext \chapter[lorem]{Lorem} Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetur adipiscing elit \in{Chapter}[lorem]. \stoptext I get an error at compile time. Command in enumeration title

Hi list, there is possibly an easy explanation for my following problem, but I don't know it. Why does \Word have no effect in the following example, and how can I make it work? Project, product, component...

Hello, I'm trying to use advantages of project/product/component structure. Suppose having a very simple example (both files in the same directory): ---- Prod.mkiv \startproduct PPP \component Comp.mkiv Product \stopproduct ---- And: ---- Comp.mkiv \startcomponent CCC Component \stopcomponent ---- When I compile Comp.mkiv, I get (successfully) text "Component". When I compile Prod.mkiv, I get (successfully) text "Product Component". So the question - what are "PPP" and "CCC" identifiers (following \startproduct and \starcomponent respectively) used or intended for? - So far, it seems to me that I refer to file names (as with \input) when working with components rather than their ids assigned by \startcomponent or \startproduct. What would be a situation when I'd need to use ids "CCC" or "PPP" (or later, those assigned by "\startproduct PROD" and "\startenvironment ENV")? Best regards, Lukas -- Ing. Is the \definecolumnsetspan still supported!?

Hi all, I want to use the \definecolumnsetspan for typesetting text in columns as described in the Columns manual (2003) by Hans, but get an Undefined control sequence ... error when using it! Maybe all this is not supported anymore but I don't know for sure. Anybody any idea on how to proceed?! Regards, Gerard Verhaag

Is it bibliography really problem for MKIV?

Hello ConTeXist.. I have an unusual question: Is it bibliography really such a big problem for MKIV or I am unable to do? Do you have some experience in the bibliography at MKIV? Can you refer me to a source of information about this? Submitter thesis has a very strict requirement to the list of bibliography. The numbering of bibliographic items must be in the same order in which items are used in the text. Moreover, in the form of AMS is, [1], [2], etc. I've tried many hours, but I am absolutely not able to achieve the required form. I do not believe that I will eventually have to write a thesis in LaTeX because of the stupid request. May possibly be some way around? It occurred to me to do an emergency way. I want redefine of the \cite macro to macro \CITE. The \CITE macro put me list the order bibliographic items and then I arrange manually a list of bibliographic entries. Or exist any external tools for that do it? Thanx Jaroslav Hajtmar
