automigrateinserts complete but confused

Hi, I just gave automigrateinserts a try in a current version (09.15): The footnotes used in a table are printed, but with the wrong numbers ... due to the fact that the table is a float, probably. Please have a look a this screenshot: http://werksatz.com/attachments/footnotes.pdf The tables anchor is on the left side after the paragraph mentioning "Tabelle 27", by using \placetable{...caption...}{\bTABLE...\eTABLE} Before is footnote 68, below is footnote 74! But, for the table is placed on the next page, their footnotes 69-73 are also placed on the right page ... AFTER footnote 74!! Is there something that can be done about this? I.e. the footnote 74 gets number 69, and the table's notes on the right page get number 70-74?! Thanks, Steffen

"externalfigure" vs. "draw externalfigure" in metafun

Dear Hans, I have problems with externalfigure inside metapost. In MKII, only externalfigure "something.png"; works, while in MKIV only draw externalfigure "something.png"; is accepted. Is there any chance to accept one of the syntaxes in both flavours? Table headers and section titles

Hello all, I've had another stab at converting our Word template to Context. I've managed to draw some pretty shapes using MetaPost (and I'd like to add my +1 for getting some alpha channel support for linear_shade) and I got really close to getting my table headings working. I would like to have a gradient fill that runs the width of the table header. I believe that there are only really two options as to how I can get what I want: 1. Recalculate the gradient fill for each cell. This will require knowing the column width and the ability to change the cell's background as appropriate. I have no idea how to do either. 2. Draw the framed fill to the width of the table and then position it behind the table header (which is actually how it gets done in Word). However, I don't know how to determine the table width, or how to accurately position the frame. The next problem I have is with section headings. For each section heading we are required to include a box that contains some meta information. Ideally I'd like to draw a line under the section header that meets the left side of the box as well, though I'll take what I can get at this point. I hope the examples make sense. \url interaction and splitting

Hi, Can the definition of \url be changed so that \useURL[google][http://www.google.com]\url[google] will create a hyperlink? I tried changing the definition of \url to (changed last line) \unexpanded\def\url[#1]% {\dontleavehmode \begingroup \dosetfontattribute\??ur\c!style \dosetcolorattribute\??ur\c!color \goto{\hyphenatedurl{\ctxlua{structures.references.urls.get("#1","\@@uralternative","\@@urspace")}}}[fileorurl(#1)]% \endgroup} but this makes \url inherit the style from \setupinteraction rather than \setupurl. Also, \url does not support urlalternative for splitting url. Miktex breaks install

In a fit of madness I installed Miktex and now my minimals install is borked ("unknown script 'context.lua'...). Looking at the output it seems that Miktex has set a load of variables that Context is now using for itself. I suppose it would be nice to run side by side, but I guess I need to reset these variables when using Context. Is the texmfcnf.lua file the best place to put these? If so, then does anyone know what I should set the following to? SELFAUTOLOC SELFAUTODIR SELFAUTOPARENT TEXMFCNF TEXMF TEXOS Thanks in advance, Felix

Units misbehaving, I think

I don't think the /unit and /lunit command like a quantity that starts with a zero.. Any one else? First two work fine, last one causes all kinds of grief, in lists, lines etc. The leading zero and decimal point are zapped. \unit{1.0 meter inverse second} \lunit{1.0 meter inverse second} \unit{0.1 meter inverse second} \lunit{0.1 meter inverse second} \lunit{0 meter inverse second} And pretty, please, can we spell metre correctly soon ( sorry, people over the pond…) … Or at least have the option to...

relative references

Anyone else had an issue with these? Work done on one system, transferred to another, and apparently the relate references all fail. Both unix - based machines… The offending machine (where the refs seem not to work) is OSX Lion…. Some samples: This works: /Users/Ian/SPT_PDF_context/ConTEXt_production_ws/Fo01_PN-Testbed/Fo_01_PN_graphics/train_full.pdf This does not ./Fo_01_PN_graphics/train_full.pdf Even when I am working inside /Users/Ian/SPT_PDF_context/ConTEXt_production_ws/Fo01_PN-Testbed/ And I think it should. It's making me quite cross…. But if I am being unremittingly stupid, and someone can enlighten me, then payment in the usual currency follows…

export kills hyphen symbol

I have an extremely strange bug. If I use Fontin font[1] with simplefonts module and enable export and protrusion, the hyphenation symbol is gone! Below is a minimal example that illustrates this. \showframe \usemodule [simplefonts][size=10pt] \setmainfont[Fontin][expansion=quality,protrusion=quality] \setupbackend [export=yes] \setuppapersize[A7] \starttext \input ward \stoptext See the attached pdf for output.
