Hi, In the process of extending math export I decided to finish and integrate an old experiment with units. The su is an abbreviation for scientific unit as we already have \unit (which I like more) and \dim is also taken. Of course \u would be even nicer but that's a accent placement (ok, we could drop all those as we have utf). Using two character names is not handy as they look like language switches. modules in minimals (important)

Hello, Hans has changed the command line parameter for modules (--modules=vim should work now). The problem is that he now stores the chosen modules to a variable "modules" as opposed to "extras". So if you want to keep your modules, please edit status-of-update.lua and replace ["extras"] with ["modules"]. Or simply install the modules again. There is also a switch --fonts= which installs some additional fonts from http://minimals.contextgarden.net/current/fonts/extra/ Mojca

export: graphic within table (error)

Hans, I'm getting this error if I put an image within a table using the export backend: ! LuaTeX error /usr/share/texmf/tex/context/base/back-exp.lua:297: bad argument #3 to 'format' (string expected, got boolean). Fifth ConTeXt meeting, September 2011, France

Hello everyone, This must be the second thread I initiate this year on the list, but unlike my previous post (http://www.ntg.nl/pipermail/ntg-context/2010/048296.html) this is actually serious. I hereby announce the next ConTeXt meeting, that will take place on the island of Porquerolles off the coast of the French Riviera, from Monday, September 19th, 2011, to Saturday, September 24th. The conference venue has been pre-booked for these dates, so this is firm. Of course, there is yet nothing like a set program at this moment, so we're expecting your proposals (there will be a formal call for papers later). Watch this page: http://meeting.contextgarden.net/2011/ Registration is not yet open, but will be in a few weeks. The fee is notably higher than it was for the previous ConTeXt meetings (see http://meeting.contextgarden.net/2011/fee.shtml) I'm sorry about that, but that is the best I can do in this place, short of feeding on black roots and camping in the woods or on the beach (which is forbidden anyway on the island, it's a protected area apart for the village). But food will instead be excellent, obviously, and wine is included in the price of the meals (that was actually one of the first things I was told by the people at the conference venue). Missing space between digit and unit with the new unit-command

Hey, I was happy to have a new (and easier) unit-command, but now I miss the space that was between the digits and the unit in the unit-module. I attach the old (unit1) and new variant (unit2) with tex- and pdf-files. Do I type it in a wrong way or is it possible to fix this? Thanks, Yoraxe

Columns and figures in MKIV

I am trying to upgrade an existing document from using texexec and pdftex to context and luatex. Unfortunately, the document relies pretty heavily on columns (using \startcolumns[n=2,tolerant=verytolerant]) and the idea that figures that are too wide to place in a column float to the top of the next page. Unfortunately, this does not seem to be the case with the current minimals. The following example works fine for texexec (even if I comment out the \startpostponing \stoppostponing code). The figure is placed (centered) at the top of page 2. Using Luatex.

Been away for a while. Currently using luatex for lightly formatted documents. But I want to use Context for my next job (lots of formatting). How do I incorporate luatex and the fonts found by luatex in my Context file? And should I use MKII or MKIV? My luatex books are basically pdftex files with a few statements to get at fonts not included with TeX, e.g., \input luaotfload.sty \font\lll={CHOPS___.TTF} at 48bp \font\lk={CHOPS___.TTF} at 36bp \font\hl={CHOPS___.TTF} at 16bp \font\head={CHOPS___.TTF} at 26bp \font\lr pplr7t at 12bp \font\llr pplr7t at 14bp \font\rm pplr7t at 10bp \font\it pplri7t at 10bp \font\bf pplb7t at 10bp -- John Culleton Able Indexers and Typesetters Cover design, Indexing, Interior Layout

ConTeXt Command Differences between Tex Live and Minimals

In general, where do I look to resolve differences between ConTeXt commands which work using the Tex Live distribution, but which do not work using the Minimals distribution. I am thinking of switching to the Minimals distribution since I can keep it more current, and it appears to resolve a problem hyphenating URLs which contain multiple, adjacent hyphens. Specifically, the command "\inothermargin" is not recognized when using the Minimals distribution. While I would appreciate a solution to this issue, I would very much appreciate knowing where to look to resolve the issue myself. I have consulted the most recent documentation, and searched the ConTeXt wiki.
