Hello all, I'm looking the reason of non-functioning my context module in the context TeXlive 2010. error with m-database example

Hi, The example from http://wiki.contextgarden.net/m-database gives me an error. ! running headers on postponed makeup

Hi all, I’m just forwarding this to the ml as I can’t help any further and I’d like to know the answer too. @Achim: have you tried locally chopping off a line from the text area with “\[start|stop]columns”? mkiv: append to buffer

Hi all, i guess this is easy, but I can't find an example to help me: I want to write a macro that will collect one of its arguments in a buffer and then collect the other argument in a buffer. Difficult to make a minimal example since I don't know how to do this, so here is some pseudo-code; this is what I want to achieve: \definebuffer[MyBuffer] \def\MyGreatMacro#1#2#3% {\item[#1] #2 \par \appendtobuffer{MyBuffer}{\in[#1] #3}} \starttext \startitemize \MyGreatMacro{1}{aa}{AA} \MyGreatMacro{2}{bb}{BB} \stopitemize \page \getbuffer[MyBuffer] \resetbuffer[MyBuffer] % so I can reuse the buffer \stoptext What I want to do with this is typeset exercises for my students, with an itemization for problems and solutions which use the same numbering. In real life, this will involve xml, but I will try and figure that out myself once I know how to use buffers... It looks like buffers.collectcontent should be able to do this, but I can't figure out how to use it. Any pointers? Thanks a lot! All best Thomas

startcolumns: text runs into footer

Hi at all, now I've run into the next problem: Trying to set text in 2 columns. Even in the simples case: \showframe \starttext \startcolumns \dorecurse{20}{\input knuth} \stopcolumns \stoptext The text goes ca 1 line into the footer-region. I played around with various settings (blank, align=yes, setupwhitespace etc), but can not figure out how to keep the text in the main area only. Another related question: for which purpose is the columns setting in setuplayout? It doesnt seem to affect the output? And still another question: how can i fine-control the amount of whitespace, especially the strechability and shrinkability? is \setupwhitespace[2pt plus 2pt minus 2pt] the right way? And how is the equivalent syntax for \blank? Thanks, Achim
