\framed (and others) don't honor directional switches

framed, framedtext, TEXpage (and may be others), no longer honor directional switches. Background for current page only

How to set a background for the current page only? \setupbackgrounds sets backgrounds for all pages, I don't seem to find a way to turn it on/off for certain pages (\setupbackgrounds[state=start/stop] has no effect). \restoreglobalbodyfont messes up superscripts

I was originally trying to make the font inside a table smaller, and when I was trying things out, I ran into a problem with \restoreglobalbodyfont changing the font size of my superscripts from what it was before the command was issued. I really just want to make the font inside my table smaller, but I don't know how to "turn off" a formating command like \tfxx. I originally thought that was what \par was for, but it doesn't seem to do anything. I then tried \restoreglobalbodyfont, but started running into my issues. Can anyone give me any help with this issue? Metapost labeling question. Please help

Hi, I want the labels as (0.5,0.55,0.6,0.65,0.7,...,1) or (0.50,0.55,0.60,0.65,0.70,...,1). Either of these two is fine. I don't understand why I get more than 2 digits after 0.6. Is there a way to restrict the number of digits after the decimal point. Thanks very much.

right/left only background offset?

Is there a way to typeset a paragraph with background extending only in the margin? Typesetting C code

Can someone help me with typesetting C code. I tried typeset JAVA code with followed command \startJV import java.text.DateFormat; public class MainClass(){ } \stopJV and output was OK. I use predefine typing environment (verbatim) If I use predefine environment for C code, \startC #include <stio.h> int main(){ return 0; } \stopC the compiler report error. Please, can you help me with typesetting C code. Thanks very much.

Strange extra page with xetex ...

Hi @all, when i'm using XeTeX (texexec --xtx bla.tex) to create my document I'm getting an extra first page aug PDF output containing the chars "sss e" ... I'm using ConTeXt Minimals (TeXExec | version 6.2.1 - 1997-2009 - PRAGMA ADE/POD). Is this a known Problem? Is there a fix for it? I'm not having this Problem when using LuaTeX or pdfTeX ...
