Setting the Non-Printable Area

Hi @all, i like to include a logo on the top-right-edge on every page in my Document. The pagesize is A4, but our printer could not print into the first 5mm from the borders. Now the Logo get's cut on the top and on the right side while printing. I defined my layout like this: -----8<--------schnipp----- \setuppapersize[A4][A4] \setuplayout[backspace=20mm, width=160mm, topspace=20mm, top=0mm, header=0mm, footer=0mm, height=250mm, grid=yes] -----8<--------schnapp----- ... and placed the logo like this: -----8<--------schnipp----- \definelogo [imko logo] [top] [rightedge] [command=\IMKOLogo,state=start] -----8<--------schnapp----- So how can I define the non-printable area of my A4 paper, so the logo doesn't get cut. - Markus -- -------------------"it's like this"------ even samurai have teddy bears and even teddy bears get drunk

Flow Charts

I find the chart module great, it provides good results when typesetting flow charts in many cases. However, sometimes when defining connection lines the automatic routing feature is not able to find an optimal route and lines intersect. I was wondering if there is an alternate way to define a particular path for a specific connection. Instead of letting the module doing that connection I would rather let it undefined and use some metapost commands to do it. Is there an easy way to do it keeping the lines and arrows setup?. Thanks!

Bug with "Adobe Arabic" font kerning

The font seems to have a buggy (too big) GPOS kerning table (it does cause fontforge to hang writing the font). If 'kern' is set to 'yes', I get this error: ...text/tex/texmf-context/tex/context/base/node-inj.lua:62: attempt to index local 'kb' (a nil value) I had to put if..then around that line to suppress the error, may be some checks are needed for such broken fonts. P.S. Why can not rm or rmtf fonts be set up by \definebodyfont macro?

These days I have been reading "co-fonts.pdf" because I plan to write a document about ConTeXt MkIV for our Chinese users. However, "bf", "it" and "sl" fonts all are right. I looked over the log file and saw some messages as following: fonts : preloading latin modern fonts bodyfont : 12pt rm is loaded I want to know why I can not override the preloading rm font. ConTeXt & color=red!40!yellow

Hello, I might be dreaming already, but on last Tuesday (I don't know which version though) this code kept generating orange balls in ConTeXt MKII: \shade[ball color=red!40!yellow] (0,0) circle (.15cm); Now I get a black one. Has anything with respect to color handling mechanisms changed in ConTeXt MKII or TikZ recently? ConTeXt MKIV properly generates an orange ball (usually only mkiv fails, so I'm a bit confused now :). I'm using ConTeXt 2009.03.30 18:28 and TikZ 2009-04-03. New module simpleslides

Dear list members, We're happy to announce the initial release of the simpleslides module. It has taken us somewhat longer than we anticipated, but now it's there! simpleslides is a module that facilitates the creation of presentations in ConTeXt. It provides a few macros to position titles, text, and images on slides, some typescripts to make use of LatinModern and the TeXGyre fonts, and a few pre-defined styles that should make your presentations visually appealing. We guarantee that this release is absolutely bug-free; whoever finds a bug has the inalienable right to buy us a beer at the next ConTeXt meeting! Seriously: we are aware that some things are not working as expected. Our biggest and most embarrassing problem for the time being is that the module refuses to work with XeTeX. Neither of us uses XeTeX on a regular basis, and we're not familiar with its innards, so we're at a loss here. If you can offer help, you will be most welcome! We would of course welcome feedback, bug reports, feature suggestions, etc., so download the module at http://modules.contextgarden.net/module/detail?name=simpleslides and give it a whirl! Arabic shaping

Currently 'font-ota.lua' hard codes the Arabic shaping properties,and it doesn't seem to be complete (e.g. the ڤ as in أڤاست is not joined), I think such information belong to 'char-def.lua' and should be derived from UCD, which provide 'ArabicShaping.txt[1]', covering Arabic, Syriac and N'Ko scripts which all need the same shaping as Arabic.
