Problem or bug with enumerations in latest ConTeXt beta

Hello all, I have attached a fairly minimal example that demonstrates three problems I currently have using an enumeration for code listings. The first problem is that \placelist[enumeration:listing] errors out with: ! Missing number, treated as zero. <to be read again> ) \placestructurelist ...sts.process("#1","#2","#3") } \doplacerawlist ...mber \listparameter \c!number } \stoplistreferences \endgr... \doplacelist ...ginoflist \doplacerawlist [#1][#2] \doendoflist <to be read again> \par l.24 The second problem is that \in{Listing}[lst:b] produces Listing 2.2 rather than Listing 2 as I expect since I've asked for numbering way=bytext in \defineenumeration. How can I get the number produced by \in{Listing}[lst:b] to match the listing number typeset in the listing title? The third problem is that the document hyperlinks produced by \in{Listing}[lst:b] with interaction enabled don't seem to do anything. Cheers, Kevin

Context Typescript Maker tool

Hi all, I just developed a GUI tool called "Context Typescript Maker". It's purpose is to simplify font setup under Windows. 1) Point to folder with fonts (ttf, otf); 2) Specify typescript name; 3) Specify which font from the list will stand for Serif, which for SerifBold, and so on (select values from dropdown list); 4) Press "Create Typescript" and copy-paste the code into the preamble of your document. That's all! Footnotes AFTER table ?

Hi, I have a long table (15pages) with about 150 long footnotes (NOT local notes!). The only chance to set this will be to set all footnotes after the table. My first attempt (see minimal below) failed ... Could someone help me please? Printing partly bolded verbatim

I tried putting /BTEX{\bf IfSQ Fragment selection (minimum length = 60)}/ETEX in a source that is prettyprinted with mkii (took that idea form the wiki) but this does not work (no bold in the pretty printed result). Can this be done? \blank with dimen (mkiv)

Hi all, can anyone help me out with a working setup for Zapf Dingbats (pzdr.pfb)? My mkii setup does not work in mkiv. format float numbers in luatex

Dear Sirs, I'm looking a way to format float numbers. For example \ctxlua{text.print(sqrt(2))} give me 1.41421356237309504880 but i want 1.414. Is there a way to format real numbers. Note: I had tried \ctxlua{a = sqrt(a) ; aformat = string.format("0.3%f", a) ; text.print(aformat)} but that don't work because the % character thanks a lot Have a nice day jorge

Page Numbering Hell

All- A few days ago when I first stumbled on ConTeXt I was very, very excited. I have some 500 pages of technical documentation that could benefit from this, particularly since I need Japanese font support. But it has to be real. I'm sorry if this sounds caustic, but after 12 hours of failed attempts to even get a minimal document formatted I have some serious questions for the list: 1. Is Mark IV real? I am only somewhat joking here - after spending hours searching for reasonable documentation on even the most trivial options, I am left wondering whether this is something I want to use... 2. ConTeXt looks great. But what is current? Seriously, I like the look and the support (particularly Unicode). But going over documentation I cannot make heads or tails of what to do. Mark II? Mark IV? TeTeX? LuaTeX? If I really want to use this, what should I use? 3. Having answered #2, where in the world is a reference manual!!! I mean one that actually *documents the options*. 4. Having answered #3, are there any current examples that actually work? The snippets from the mailing are great, but they are just snippets. That doesn't help me. Now, to resolve my immediate issue, and just because I will not be able to sleep well until I figure this out (yes, I am fixated on this). I want this document structure: Contents 1. Chapter 1-1 1.1 Section 1-2 2. Chapter 2 2-1 2.1 Section 2-2 Table of contents on page "i". Even/odd, each chapter starts on right page. Page number (as in 2-2) in top margin. Mark IV, Lua document. I have tried hundreds of different combinations. If it cannot do this, the I will (with sadness) move on. How to learn context?

Hi, I am a C++ programmer by profession. Typesetting is my hobby. I used to use LaTeX and Groff with ms macro package. Then I found ConTeXt and I find pdfs created mostly by Hans Hagen awesome. How to learn ConTeXt so that I can create documents of similar complexity. As a programmer I find most of the information with google when I face problem with LaTeX.
