Hi, Do the developers run the trunk against a set of test cases? For instance, testing the new release against files that compile successfully under the current stable release? I ask as I often see people complain that the new beta isn't working and so forth.

Feature request: 4SIDE

Hi all, it seems that we have a feature request flood;) so I'm putting my $3*10^{-2}. I'd need 4SIDE (analogous to 2SIDE). How to obtain it? Could it be added to page-imp.tex? Simple questions on fonts and how to center vertically

Hi, I would like to create a document where the first page contains a title and a subtitle. The title would be in bold face, and the subtitle in italics. The font size would be something bigger than 12 points and those would be centered vertically on the page (with a bit of space between them). After some readings, I came up with the following solution: % ------------------------------------------------------------------ \font\titlefont=cmbx12 scaled\magstep3 % Header \setupheadertexts[\vbox{ \ifodd\pagenumber \hfil{\sc{a Title}}\hfil\hfil\pagenumber\hfil \else \hfil\pagenumber\hfil\hfil{\sc{author}}\hfil \fi \break \vbox{\hfil\hrulefill\hfil} }] % Start front page \eject\nobreak\vfill % Title {\titlefont \centerline{a Title} \vskip 1em } \vfil % Leave some space between % Subtitle {\titlefont\it \centerline{a Subtitle} \vskip 1em } % Stop Front Page \nobreak\vfill\eject \end % ------------------------------------------------------------------ The problems are: * It is not centered vertically * The subtitle is not as big as I would have expected * There is not enough space between the title and the subtitle Can you come up with a better solution? Ideally, I would like to have the font size changed in a way so the control sequences like \it, \bf ... continue to work as expected. Something I could use like: {Some normal text \magnify{3} three times magnified text \it the same size in italics \bf Three times magnified, bold and italics \dots} It seems I also have troubles getting the TeX box model right. Previously, I tried to create a ruler below the ruler and it took me time to figure out how to display it. Naive implementation seamed not to work. Especially, i don't understand why the \hfil\hrulefill\hfil should be inserted in a \vbox. Is there some documentation somewhere explaining that? Thanks. Problems with: \completepublications in index

Hi, i try to put my bibliography in index and in end of the book. So: -it works only with \completepublications, but i have no reference in index - if i call a chapter{Bibliography} and then i call the bibliography with \placepublications, it doesn't work, context don't make me see the biblio in pdf. - if i comment %\startappendices %\stopappendices it works but i have not correct numbering in index! equal columnset height on last page?

Hi, power ConTeXt users: Is there any way to get automatic equal columnset heights on last page? (on the last page, all column are of the same height). I browsed column.pdf and only find ways to manually set number of lines in each columnset. Yue Wang

How to box \useMPgraphic?

Hello all, I'd like to insert a little MetaPost square into the running text and properly align it vertically. So I tried: --- \startuseMPgraphic{square} draw unitsquare scaled StrutHeight; \stopuseMPgraphic \starttext I want a square \raisebox{-\strutdepth}{\useMPgraphic{square}} in my running text. \stoptext --- Unfortunately, to no avail. TeX seems to be asking for some boxed content, so I tried to wrap the figure inclusion into a box: \hbox{\useMPgraphic{square}}. It doesn't solve the problem either. What do I need to change? Oliver
