Installing Type 1 fonts into ConTeXt

Hi, I'm trying to install Type 1 fonts into ConTeXt, I'm using texfont, and all but one font properly generate: Good: \starttyping \definefontsynonym[Humanist777BT-BoldB][texnansi-hum777b][encoding=texnansi] \definefontsynonym[Humanist777BT-BoldItalicB][texnansi-hum777bi][encoding=texnansi] \definefontsynonym[Humanist777BT-ItalicB][texnansi-hum777i][encoding=texnansi] \definefontsynonym[Humanist777BT-RomanB][texnansi-hum777n][encoding=texnansi] \stoptyping Bad: \starttyping \definefontsynonym[][texnansi-zhu601bi][encoding=texnansi] \definefontsynonym[ZapfHumanist601BT-Bold][texnansi-zhum601b][encoding=texnansi] \definefontsynonym[ZapfHumanist601BT-Italic][texnansi-zhum601i][encoding=texnansi] \definefontsynonym[ZapfHumanist601BT-Roman][texnansi-zhum601n][encoding=texnansi] \stoptyping (Complete file attached) Does anybody have a clue why the first define went sour? Which tool is used to extract the metadata from the .pfb files? Also, I'm currently installing in ~/texmf, however, say I'd want to make these fonts available system-wide, what would be the correct place to move them? And texfont creates a series of .tex files (containing the above text), what is the properly location to put them? I don't want to copy these files into each project directory. Hi, I uploaded a beta. Opportunity to include ConTeXt code into a LaTeXe environment

Hi @ all, I'm glad about the opportunities ConTeXt gives me to create Coverpages. Now that I have a working example of a coverpage my question is, if it is possible to include that ConTeXt-code into Latex to create a book. If yes, how is the procedure to do so. Kind regards Martin

Tables and misplaced \noalign

Hi, when I'm trying to use tables (\starttables ... \stoptables), I'm often getting the following error: --- ! Misplaced \noalign. \TABLEnoalign ->\noalign \bgroup \let \noalign \relax \let \next = \insertTABLEtail ->\TABLEnoalign {\global \settrue \preventTABLEbreak \globa... \stoptables ...erepeattail \else \insertTABLEtail \fi \finishTABLE \egroup \... l.148 \stoptables --- On the mailing list archives, I already found some code posted by Hans Hagen that solves the issue in case of the "\starttable ... \stoptable" command. I had to insert the following code in my cont-new.tex file: \def\stoptable {\chuckTABLEautorow % before the tail \insertTABLEtail \TABLEnoalign{\globalletempty\@@TABLEhead}% \TABLEnoalign{\globalletempty\@@TABLEtail}% \finishTABLE \doifelsenothing\@@tiframe {\ifinsidefloat\else \stopbaselinecorrection \goodbreak % compensates all the nobreaks \fi} \stopframedcontent \egroup} For the "tables" commands it doesn't work though, even not after changing "\def\stoptable" to "\def\stoptables". Hello, I've updated the Windows installer for ConTeXt, which can be found at http://minimals.contextgarden.net/setup/context-installer/ContextMinimalIns… Now it provides four separate options: - Get latest setup files (recommended) - Get latest distribution files (recommended) - Make format files (recommended) - Set environment vars globally (recommended only if no other TeX systems are installed) Please, send me any comments. problem with small cyrillic yo

Hi all! I've noticed that some documents lacks small cyrillic letter yo (ё) when typeset with input files in utf encoding. It's encoded as \cyrillicyo everywhere but as \cyrillicio in uni-0004 (line 100). I've changed this and didn't noticed problems so far. Maybe these files are autogenerated somehow, so please fix this where appropriate. BTW capital yo is coded as \cyrillicYO everywhere and typesets right. -- Best regards Oleg

ConTeXt meeting: preliminary registrations open now

Hello dear ConTeXt enthusiasts, First of all I would like to thank to all of you who have replied to my first mail. (It's really a pity that quite some people whom I was hoping to see or get to know will not be able to participate this year.) I have put the meeting page online now (not perfect yet, but it serves the basic needs): http://meeting.contextgarden.net/ The registration form should be working now (I hope so at least - two have registered already). I had two locations in mind, but I have chosen the nicer and cheaper one, which consequently means that it is fully booked months in advance. Even though it could host two such meetings, I cannot take the risk of booking and paying for too many empty beds, or vice versa: it would be stupid to decline people just because of too few reservations. Why to come? - meet ConTeXt fellows - present your work - solve your problems quickly - not every software can offer you direct contact with its authors: you will be proud to say that you have met two among the most important TeX-ies around the world (then you will be only one step away from Don E. Knuth) - spend nice holidays next to the biggest Slovenian lake (swimming, if the weather will still permit) - if it will be too cold or rainy, you may continue your trip to the Croatian coast - some last year participants on the list could name you other reasons as well :-) So - if you're thinking about visiting this tiny, but wonderful piece of Europe in August, please register right away on http://meeting.contextgarden.net/2008/register.shtml (and choose "I will come for sure" :) Mojca
