metafun.mem on texlive

Hi to all, I have to extended the memory used by metafun. On my old PPC macosx with gwtex it was here: The right metafun.mem (the effective one with TeXShop): /usr/local/teTeX/share/texmf.local/web2c/ Now, I have texlive, but cannot find that file. Manual hyphenation

Hi, I found that my text, which is set in two columns, looks better with auto-hyphenation disabled using: \setupalign[nothyphenated] There are however several over-hanging words that I will need ConTeXt to hyphenate. I've searched the mailing list and manual and have found no information on how to do this. The info I did find was about how to influence the automatic hyphenation. How do I manually indicate to ConTeXt that a word should be hyphenation. For example if I wanted to manually force a page break or column break I would use \page and \column respectively, but what about hyphenation? At the moment I'm using: ... document-\crlf ation ... to manually create a hyphenation. Is there a better way? Creating PDF files which are editable in Adobe Reader

Hi, does anyone know how to enable the editing functionality in PDFs files? Adobe Reader 8.x seems to be able to edit PDFs which have been marked as such. (Editting: Highlighting and adding comment boxes + saving the modified files. See: http://www.adobe.com/products/reader/ -> e.g. Feature tour) I actually failed to find a description for this in http://www.adobe.com/devnet/pdf/pdf_reference.html (It might be hidden in TABLE 3.20, p. 123. I'm not good at reading standards and I'm sure Adobe won't make this feature too obvious.) Tobias, who finds Adobe Reader 8 a slow resource hog

\setuplayout doesn't set bottomspace

Hi, ConTeXt is ignoring my bottomspace dimension, all other dimension are set correctly. What can I do to set the bottom margin? I wanted a dimension of 25mm but it is currently set to 34.1mm. Multipage tables - repeating header

All - I have created a table similar to the example in the wiki \starttext \setuptables[split=repeat] \starttablehead \HL \VL {\bf Head1} \VL {\bf Head2} \VL \AR \HL \stoptablehead \starttables[|l|l|] \dorecurse{50}{% \VL SomeText \VL SomeText \VL \AR \HL} \stoptables Problem: top margin on first page is bigger. \stoptext The header repeats as expected, and the table extends properly across multiple pages. The problem is, the last row on each page is missing the bottom horizontal line, except for the very last row in the table. I have tried numerous variations of "\starttabletail ... \stoptabletail", and none seem to have the desired effect. Is there an easy way to get the bottom "\HL" on the last row of each page to appear? oldstyle bug

Dear gang, Using global oldstyle: ================= \usetypescript[serif,sans,mono][hanging][hz,normal] \setupalign[hz,hanging] \usetypescript[modern-base][texnansi] % a simplified latin-modern typescript \usetypescript [map] [latin-modern-os] [texnansi] \setupbodyfont[reset] \setupbodyfont[modern,11pt] ================= When I use \type, I get lots of messages like: ================= pdfTeX warning: pdftex.exe (file c:/ConTeXt/tex/texmf/fonts/type1/public/lm/lmt t10.pfb): glyph `eight.oldstyle' undefined ================= This did not used to happen before. Not sure if this is a ConTeXt or Latin~Modern bug. I tried ================= \def\TYPE{% \usetypescript [map] [latin-modern] [texnansi] \switchtobodyfont[modern,11pt]} \setuptyping[style=\TYPE] ================= but this did not work. Please advise! margins at a cover page

Hi, I think it is not appropriate to have a smaller left than right margin at a cover page. But my tries to achieve this are not successful. Ubuntu 7.04 texlive and context packages backported

Here are not well untested texlive and context packages backported to Ubuntu 7.04: deb http://web.mit.edu/sanjoy/texlive-backports/ feisty/ deb-src http://web.mit.edu/sanjoy/texlive-backports/ feisty/ I use these packages on my laptop with no problems so far (half a day of testing), but let me know if you find anything broken. They are based on the version in Ubuntu 7.10 (gutsy), and the context-nonfree and context-doc-nonfree packages are directly from Norbert's repository. Quickstart: Put the above two lines in your /etc/apt/sources.list (replacing the lines for Norbert's repo) then hopefully just these two commands: apt-get update apt-get install context By 'not well tested', I mean that I learnt only yesterday how to turn rebuilt packages into a public repository, so something will go wrong. But I can recompile my textbook after installing those packages, so metapost and pdftex and context are working reasonably well. -Sanjoy
