modifying bib style files

Hi to all, I'm tweaking with bib module. I saw that there are different possible style E.g. apa here: \setuppublications[alternative=apa,criterium=all] I'm not satisfied because I need Italian names (e.g. pag. instead of pages and so on) and plus the scientific bib style are typically different from the ones used in humanities. What have I to do to create a style file? My idea was to take one of the files indicated by Tacos' manual and modify it. If so, and then? typesetting a bibtex file

I have a biblio in bibtex format. I'd like to have it typeset by ConTeXt as a complete document, not as a consequence of refs in text (i.e. a need to have a biblio file) How can it be done? TOC: Continous chapter numbering

Hi again all, I'm plunging deep into ConTeXt nowadays so I have a few more questions in store, and here's one below. But I have to repeat, ConTeXt is an amazing thing for which I'm truly grateful. I'm currently using it to typeset a complex etymological dictionary at my job, and my doctoral dissertation as well, and I have absolutely *no* idea what I would do without it (what, MS Word? perish the thought!)! So, right now I'm exploring the table of content possibilities. I was wondering if it was possible to use a continuous chapter numbering throughout a whole document, across several parts. So, for example, I'd have chapters 1, 2, 3, 4 in part 1, and chapters 5, 6, 7, 8 in part 2, and so on. Thanks again! Jeff

Some update woes on Linux

Hi all, After searching the archives and reading the wikis, I'm still at loss on this one. :( I installed TexLive 2007 on Ubuntu Gutsy through the repository package. All went well. However, given that I have to use XeTeX and that the ConTeXt that was installed with the package dates from May 2007, which is between January and 08.29, to be sure everything was okay I updated ConTeXt. I did it manually because ctxtools didn't work. A problem with the paths. First red flag, but I went on manually. I got the newest cont-tmf.zip and unzipped it in /usr/share/texmf and regenerated the formats by doing: texexec --make --all To check I had the correct version, I ran, on the commandline, these two: texexec --check and: ctxtools --contextversion Both gave me 2007.09.28 16:52, which seems quite correct. However, when I try to compile a document (with the --xtx option), I get the following error: ConTeXt ver: 2007.04.17 12:51 MKII fmt: 2007.11.5 int: english/english language : language en is active system : cont-new loaded (/usr/share/texmf/tex/context/base/cont-new.tex FatalError : Your format does not match the base files! FormatVersion : 2007.04.17 12:51 MKII FilesVersion : 2007.09.28 16:52 Clearly, there is something I must do that I don't know about or that I haven't found anywhere. Anyone can help? Presentation interaction list

Hi, Forgive me if this is a double post, it didn't seem to get through the first time. I'm writing a presentation where each slide has an interaction list of chapters on the side. There are two things I can't figure out: 1. How to stop the list appearing outside of a part. (Is there a non-documented argument to `criterium'?) 2. How to have the current chapter highlighted on all slides within that chapter. (It's highlighted fine on the first slide of a chapter, but not on subsequent slides). Are these possible? Hello, I started playing around with ConTeXt/LuaTeX and have a question here wich is related to a pet project of mine: is it possible to tell Mark IV something like this > texmfstart texexec --lua --environments=myfile.tex someotherfile.zip where 'myfile.tex' should contain a lua routine which would unzip 'someotherfile.zip' to /tmp and call LuaConTeXt on a file actually contained in the archive (among others)? While I'm sure this can be done in Lua, I wonder whether somebody can point me at how to access the names of files to be processed ('someotherfile.zip') from the running process ... Not sure whether I can make myself understood here ... please ask if I'm not making sense, Joh

Here's an example: http://www.colorado.edu/Publications/styleguide/symbols.html I've seen these printed (not handwritten) in grammar guides, so I was wondering if formatting them with TeX was possible at all. Hi all, I'm pretty much a new user to ConTeXt and actually any form of TeX, so forgive me if my question sounds ignorant. Is there any way to format editor's symbols (like those used for demonstration in grammatical textbooks) in a block of text using ConTeXt or LaTeX (preferably with the former)?
