getting output in ConTeXt

Sir,     I have Protext installed on my machine with WinXp as OS. I have problems in getting the output. When I try I get the error message "The file doesn't exist". I am using MeWa as tex editor. Please help me.

Gentium Basic/Book

How difficult would it be to adapt the typescript for Gentium (at http://wiki.contextgarden.net/TypeScripts) to use the new Gentium Basic for headings & Gentium Book Basic for text weights (both have Roman, Bold Roman, Italic, & Bold Italic) -- but with reverting to Gentium for characters that aren't in the Basic fonts? --Joel

metafun's "smoothed"

Hello Hans, What exactly is the intended function of "smooothed"? I thought that the following should work and make round corners, but it only takes the bounding box. sorting bug in mkiv

Hi, I found a bug in the mkiv code with the \definsorting macros. When I try to output the sorted list with \placelistofsorts ConTeXt give me only the name of the sort list but not the list entries. \definesorting[test][tests] \starttext \test[One]{one} \test[Two]{Two} \test[Three]{3} text \One\ text \Two\ text \Three\ text \placelistoftests \stoptext This bug did also appear with the synonym mechanism. The old mkii code works as expected but I found a interestins side effect of the old mechanism. kpse.rb bad guess for distribution (web2c vs miktex)

I use MiKTeX's package manager to install updates on linux TeXLive. I put mpm in /opt/miktex/bin, which causes kpse.rb to deduce that distribution=miktex (rather than web2c). backward compatibility

Dear ConTeXt developers, With the new generation of ConTeXt, MKIV, would it be possible to drop backward compatibility at some places, where it was the only reason to keep some undesired behaviour? Images centered on page : Solved

Hello, Thank you all very much. I'm pleased with number and quality of solutions to my problem. The winner solution is provided by Wolfgang Schuster. Simple \centeredbox{} makes all the magic I need. I was also amazed with quick porting of my Lua code for batch image processing to native TeX script. I'm an imperative programmer to the marrow and never will be able to do such things. Images centered on page

Hello, How can I center the image on a page? I want images to cover the page completely, and since they have proper size (roughly A4), I only need them to be centered. Now they are stuck to the top, leaving a gap on bottom (and same for left-right). I have the following script (note my Lua trick to process images in a batch).
