All, I am using the Scite editor provided by one of the Context dristributions. Is there a way to include modes with one of the various compiling commands?

Russian hyphenation how to use?

Hello, Recently, I made lang-ru.hyp and lang-ru.pat files from TeX's ruhyphal.tex . I read Hans' "Hyphenation patterns" and didn't understand how to use my patterns to enable hyphenation (btw, in manual used key --patterns but in current ctxtools used --patternfiles) What I've done: 1. Created lang-ru.hyp (UTF-8) and lang-ru.pat (UTF-8) from TeX's ruhyphal.tex by hands (ctxtools generated patterns, but russian and ukrainian didn't) 2. Copied files to directory with other languages' patterns 3. texexec --make --all (get an error while compiling lang-cyr.tex ..... undefined sequence) 4. in tex file used \language[ru] 5. Still don't have my text hyphenated. What I do wrong? Should I upgrade my ConTeXt to recent version?

Dear All I am in the process of learning the wonders of Context and enjoying the challenge. My Context is the stand alone version for Windows which I downloaded from the Pragma site. I'm getting used to using the Scite editor although it was a little difficult in the beginning. Just now I'm putting together some short stories and am having fun playing about with layout and using different kinds of fonts. Also I'm reading 'The Elements of Typographic Style' by Robert Bringhurst which is absolutely superb! I would never have thought that a book on typography would be so easy to read. In Bringhurst's book he mentions fleurons - "A horticultural dingbat" which I would like to access. I have looked through the Context manuals but with no success. Could someone give me some hints? Question on Itemize

Hi, I tried to play with \setupitemize, and I can't figure out what the key "distance" actually does. For example, the following two lines seem to produce the same effect: \setupitemize[each][packed][width=20pt,distance=15pt] \setupitemize[each][packed][width=20pt,distance=5pt] Can someone please give me a hint? How to update ConTeXt

Hello, I just downloaded file cont-tmf.zip from pragma-ade site. Can I update my ConTeXt with the contents of the archive or I have to do other manipulations? I'm using tetex distribution in Ubuntu 6.06.

staticMPfigure & fonts

Hi all, Considering the test http://renojrl.lrv.uvsq.fr/testbed/ I have some problems using lucida: texexec gives some warnings: kpathsea: Running mktexpk --mfmode / --bdpi 600 --mag 0+420/600 --dpi 420 texnansi-raw-lbr mktexpk: don't know how to create bitmap font for texnansi-raw-lbr. kpathsea: Appending font creation commands to missfont.log. and the resulting pdf leads to "Could not find a font in the Resources dictionary"... Moreover, I don't want to use pk... How to solve this problem to embed lucida into test-3d_kin_foreground.pdf ? Another point: I am affraid that test.pdf embed lucida twice once one can embed the font into the staticMPfigure's pdf... May I have to continue with my old MPgraphics or I'd rather replace them by staticMPfigure ? Cheers, Renaud

Scite for Windows -- Repeat command in Dos console

All, Anyone know how to repeat a command in the DOS console in Windows Scite? F3 woks in a DOS box in XP, but that is reserved for something else in Scite.
