Automatic typesetting of catalogue entries

Hello list, This is a more general question so I'm not attaching any specific code examples but rather will try to explain what I'm thinking about. I'm going to typeset a catalogue of about 200 objects. Each entry consists of two main parts: a block of text and a photograph of the object. As we have to be economic rather than luxurious I adjust manually the size of each figure so that the text fills the rest of the page entirely. That means I keep on incrementing the figure width until the text spills onto next page, then I go back to the last value that was OK. Sometimes I have to squeeze two entries on one page so that each occupies half of a page. Perfectly repetitive task at which computer would do much better than human. Sorry if it's something trivial but I couldn't find any solution on my own. Thanks for any hints in advance Piotr

Help : Unknown references

Hi, I am getting unknown references when I use \startformula \startalign[n=3] .... Some math ...... \stopalign \stopformula in conjunction with \placeformula[eqn1] \startformula .... math .. \stopformula See \in[eqn1] .... <----------- unknown reference It has something to do with the formulanumber not set, I know, but how do I fix this in the above ?? Feature Request: mathmatrix enhancement

Hi, Is it possible to have allow math matrix column alignments to be configurable, on the lines of align={left,left} of \startalign. I want to be albe to say \startformula \startmatrix[align={right,left}] \NC x \NC = a + d \NR \NC y \NC = d \NR \stopmatrix \stopformula to give me x = a + d y = d This is a contrived example. The actual equation that I want to type is \startformula \text{Let }{\cal R} = \bigcup_{P_{X_1},P_{X_2}} \left\{ (R_1, R_2) : \startmatrix[distance=0.1em] \NC \hfill R_1 \NC < I(X_1 ; Y \mid X_2) \hfill \NR \NC \hfill R_2 \NC < I(X_2 ; Y \mid X_1) \hfill \NR \NC \hfill R_1 + R_2 \NC < I(X_1,X_2 ; Y) \hfill \NR \stopmatrix\right\} \stopformula All these manual hfills look ugly. Is matrix the wrong way to go about this? Should we rather have a aligned environment like amsmath? Or is there a simple alternative that I have overlooked? List of builtin TeX commands

Hi! Is there a list of builtin TeX commands anywhere on the net? I need it for a syntax definition of the plain TeX format. With builtin TeX commands I mean stuff like \def, \global, and such. A list of commands defined in plain.tex would be great as well, but at least that's easier to compile by myself, as I can just look in the actual file. The tex source is a bit harder to overview... Rows or columns on top in TABLE

Hello, the following creates a table with the even rows gray, but the lines between columns is only visible on the rows with no background. Is there a way to influence whether the row or column layouts are on top? core-bar in latest ConTeXt?

\typefile problem

Hello, I have: ConTeXt ver: 2006.03.23 09:57 fmt: 2006.3.23 int: english mes: english and get this cryptic error message. I'm positiv that it used to work with an older version.
