Overfull boxes using m-cweb

Hello, I am running into overfull boxes when including a weaved cweb file into a context document. The original reference to the cwebmac.tex file (the plain TeX macro) is commented out and replaced by \usemodule[cweb]. The cweb macros appear to expand something into \*11ptmmmt* which seems to have something to do with it. Is there anyone here with experience and deep (Con)TeX(t) knowledge who understands what is happening? compound titles, lists and headers

Dear list, my publisher forces me to set different things as titles, in headers and table of contents. Hello, I suggested to the author of the very feature rich LaTeX-Listings package, Carsten Heinz, to port this package to ConTeXt, and it seems, that he is interested. But before doing it, there are some questions: * What do Hans and other people thing about that? * listings.sty uses keyval.sty, how is the proper ConTeXt-way to do the same things as keyval, or should listings stay with keyval? Fleurons

Dear All I am in the process of learning the wonders of Context and enjoying the challenge. My Context is the stand alone version for Windows which I downloaded from the Pragma site. I'm getting used to using the Scite editor although it was a little difficult in the beginning. Just now I'm putting together some short stories and am having fun playing about with layout and using different kinds of fonts. Also I'm reading 'The Elements of Typographic Style' by Robert Bringhurst which is absolutely superb! I would never have thought that a book on typography would be so easy to read. In Bringhurst's book he mentions fleurons - "A horticultural dingbat" which I would like to access. I have looked through the Context manuals but with no success. Could someone give me some hints? 2 m-bib questions

Hello, here my m-bib questions: * The lost space after \cite[...], is it a bug or a feature? * I'm going to add some multi-lingual support to m-bib. My idea is, to replace in cont-XX.bst and bibl-XXX.tex "page" by "\pagename", "and" by "\andname" and so on. Is this method ok? If not, how should I do it (not too complicated please ;) ? TeX + Metapost syntax highlighting in Vim

In case someone finds this experimental piece of code for highlighting metapost inside ConTeXt useful, put: " ConTeXt augroup filetypedetect au! BufRead,BufNewFile *.tex setfiletype context augroup END somewhere to your filetype.vim (probably after TeX) and move the attached file to syntax\context.vim. If you have something like \startMPpage draw ... \stopMPpage, it will do the syntax highligting for metapost inside the \start-\stop pair. There are still some "bugs" present (see comments in file), but I don't know how yet to get rid of them. I downloaded SpellChecker and SuperTab (autocomplete) today from the vim website and it works great! (see http://contextgarden.net/Vim and feel free to add any useful stuff there) I was astonished as I saw autocomplete work. There are only a couple of lines with an extraordinary functionality. I think that if someone writes a good script to convert texshow to vim syntax highlighting script, than autocomplete will be able to provide good hints for all the existing commands in ConTeXt and the corresponding parameters. I'll try to see what I can do, but please don't excpect any results too soon. LaTeX \newcommands in ConTeXt.

I've recently been doing a little work on implementing a few LaTeX kernel bits in ConTeXt, to simplify porting LaTeX code over. It's now at a point where a few of the pieces might actually be useful, and certainly to a point where some comments would be welcomed, so I've put up a version of it online, in this directory: http://dpdx.net/context/latex-compat/ What you'll find there is a fair number of module files, along with a couple of "latextest" files that I've been using to try out the results. latextext.tex is to be compiled in ConTeXt; latextext-latex.tex is to be compiled in LaTeX for purposes of comparison. In any case, I think the implementation of \newcommand (and its relatives) is about up to "beta" level. Ditto with LaTeX lengths. And there's a working LaTeX-like counter implementation, based on ConTeXt counters underneath. (It's not yet hooked into ConTeXt's counters for footnotes and equations and pages, though; I'm not really sure how to do that.) Also, environments are working, in a sort of hackish way. The "array" environment works, but again a bit hackish; I'm planning to clean that up soon, so both of those will get major revisions. I'd particularly appreciate any comments on the \newcommand and counters implementations -- those are in the t-ltcmds and t-ltcnts modules, though \newcommand also depends on t-lterrs and t-ltbase. - Brooks

On 2005-03-20 and 2005-03-21 there was a thread on this list about using the Times Roman font under the CONTEXT distribution for Windows. I'm running into similar problems (also with the Bookman and Lucida bright fonts) and I am curious whether the problem was solved and how. Sytse Knypstra
