DocbookInContext: new version uploaded

I have uploaded a new version of DocbookInContext. This version features improved support for tables. It handles align, colsep and rowsep attributes, multiple tgroups and tfoot elements. While writing this mapping for tables required some careful programming, the task was relatively easy due to Context's natural tables. They provide an excellent basis because they are powerful and flexible, and their design is close to that of the CALS table model. itemize indent

This might be a dumb question, but I can't figure it out from the manual: How do I do a \setupitemize so that they -- the items, as well as the bullet that precedes it -- are indented? Bruce

Table of content questions

Hi, I have used \setuplabeltext[en][appendix={Appendix~}] to create a header like 'Appendix A blabla' above my appendix. However, in the table of content I get 'A blabla'. Using \setuplist[appendix][label=yes] does not work and \setuplist[chapter][label=yes] works only in combination with \setuplabeltext[en][chapter={Chapter~}]. How to solve this for appendices? Miktex-Context Installation

All, I just installed Miktex 2.2 and got this error message when trying to build Context format. Anyone else get this? What is the workaround? Creating cont-en.efmt... pdfetex.exe --ini --interaction=nonstopmode --halt-on-error --alias cont-en *F:/miktex/tex/context/base/cont-en.tex \dump ! You have to increase POOLSIZE. INITEXMF: pdfetex.exe failed on cont-en.tex I checked miktex.ini and found: ;; Maximum number of characters in strings, including all ;; error messages and help texts, and the names of all fonts and ;; control sequences; must exceed string_vacancies by the total ;; length of TeX's own strings, which is currently about 23000. pool_size=500000 Is this what I should increase? Or is there some other sinister thing that needs taking care of?

advice for a beginner

Hi Everyone: I'm a real beginner with TeX and ConTeXt. I have had some success with English documents, but what I really want to do is create Chinese and Japanese docs. What do I need to understand about TeX and ConTeXt in general in order to do this? There seem to be so many things to learn, I'm not sure where to start. One big question for me is whether or not I need to look at using Omega. I'm not asking for a tutorial on how to do asian languages in TeX, just for advice on what areas of the system I need to know about. Thanks Matthew

A math question

Hello, does ConTeXt provide extensible arrows with super and subscript? An extensible arrow is something like \leftarrow, \rightarrow, \Leftarrow, \Rightarrow, except that it accepts super/subscripts which gets typeset over or under the arrow body, which extends to accomdate the length of the super and subscripts (with a minimum guaranteed legth). -- Giuseppe "Oblomov" Bilotta

Fully object-oriented section

Hello, I'd like to restart the thread about "object-orienting" section commands. Availability of \startpart ... \stoppart, \startchapter ...\stopchapter (alongside the faster \part, \chapter ... alternatives) becomes more and more a need for me. Having the mechanism standardized in ConTeXt would be a great thing. This is the way I'm implementing it by hand: %D New structured sectioning \newtoks\everybeforestartpart \newtoks\everyafterstartpart \newtoks\everystoppart \def\startpart{\dosingleempty\dostartpart} \def\dostartpart[#1]#2{% \bgroup\bgroup \the\everybeforestartpart \iffirstargument \part[#1]{#2}% \else \part{#2}% \fi \egroup \the\everyafterstartpart } \def\stoppart{\the\everystoppart\egroup} Using this snippet as the kernel and simply changing "part" to whatever other sectioning level is needed is enough to allow full customization of the sectioning levels.
