How to scale fonts?

Hello, I want to use truly huge (40pt) fonts for chapter numbers. In my latex code, I used \newfont{\chapterNumber}{pplr9d scaled 7000} From the context manual, I thought that \definebodyfont [11pt] [rm] [ tfH=cmr12 scaled 7000] should do it. Fixed Line Height

When a page begins to get "full", TeX automatically squeezes lines slightly closer together (vertically) to help the page "break" where it thinks that it should. If the page is less than full, then the (vertical) distance between lines is fixed. How can I make this fixed distance remain fixed even as the page starts approaching full? That is, I don't want the lines to squeeze together when the page gets full. I'm familiar with \clubpenalty \interlinepenalty \displaywidowpenalty \widowpenalty \keeplinestogether (ConTeXt) but I'm not sure how to use any/all of these to get this effect. Troy Henderson

No number of chapter in TOC

Hi there, after each chapter I begin with a section. So in the table of content every chapter has the same page-number as the section, which comes directly after the chapter-title (so no text is between them). In the TOC it is not necessary to have Chapter 1 ........... 7 Section 1 .............7 .... Chapter 1 ............. 22 Section 1 .............. 22 And so on. How can I deactivate page-numbers in the TOC for the chapters, it should be this way in the TOC: Chapter 1 Section 1 .............7 .... Chapter 1 Section 1 .............. 22 Thanks Huseyin

Rotating \copypages

I have a PORTRAIT letter size PDF that I would like to include in my LANDSCAPE letter size document. I am doing \setuppapersize[letter,landscape] \starttext \copypage[foo.pdf] \stoptext but foo.pdf is being inserted "as-is" and thus is being clipped since the height of a letter size page is 8.5in and the height of foo.pdf is 11in. I would like to use \copypages to insert foo.pdf rotated 90 degrees. How can this be done? Troy Henderson

Hi, I tried this example from Context FAQ but without success: \installalign {block} {\parfillskip=\hsize \advance\parfillskip by -1.5\parindent \advance\parfillskip by 0pt minus \parfillskip \advance\parfillskip by 0pt minus -1em} % followed by \setupalign[block] I expected no last line will be shorter than the paragraph indenting, but it didn't work. If I used the plainTeX commands directly (without trying to install and use the new alignment) everything worked as expected: \parfillskip=\hsize \advance\parfillskip by -1.5\parindent \advance\parfillskip by 0pt minus \parfillskip \advance\parfillskip by 0pt minus -1em Has anybody the explanation for this? My luatex version is beta-0.74.0-2012122510 (TeX Live 2013/dev)(rev 4541). Best regards Pavel

External figures from other folders

Hi there, for images I use: \startplacefigure [title=desciption, reference=fig:demo, number=no] \externalfigure[example][width=13cm] \stopplacefigure But how to reference to the image, if it is in another folger. Say my context mainfile is in ...\projekt and the images are in \projekt\images, then how to reference correctly directly to the images in the subfolder "images"? Thanks Huseyin

local picture not found anymore

Having a file picture.jpg worked fine. Now it results in inclusion of "The picture package by Heiko Oberdiek". Suddenly file searching doesn't start with the current directory anymore but somewhere in the /tex-chain. Were the significant changes here? Something to do with Luatex? I didn't follow the developments for the last few months, so I may have missed an important change. Hans van der Meer

deferred variable lookup in environment?

Hi, sorry if the subject is misleading, I'm not sure how to say it in few words. I'm trying to have the date in a layer in an environment. In the text using the environment, I want to be able to set the date. If the date is not set, the current date should be used, otherwise the set date. This is what I've tried, but it is always the currentdate, that is displayes. Alternative width of figures in different documents (problem with modes?)

Hello ConTeXist. I would like use modes alternative to change of image dimensions in different documents (presentation or print version). Compilation in ConTeXt TeXLive 2012 version will compile without error, but without visual effect. Compilation with the standalone version fails. What is problem or eventually. how to solve my problem another way. Indentation in TOC

Hello, I am trying to indent my section/subsection etc. progressively. I am using *numbercommand* and added *hspace* before the numbers. But the section title is not moved to the right along with the section number and overlaps with it. I tried adding *loffset=2cm* (since all the options of *\framed* are valid for *setuplist*) also, but doesn't seem to have any effect. Please point out the mistake.
