Ten years ago I made a book with ConText and some Metapost. I made a circle and wrote the number into it: \startuseMPgraphic{Pagenumber} defaultfont := "pxb"; defaultscale := 1.5; fill fullcircle scaled 36pt withcolor .75white; numeric i; string pagex; i := PageNumber; pagenum = decimal i; label( pagenum, center currentpicture) withcolor black; \stopuseMPgraphic "label" does not write the number into the circle - years ago this was working. What changed in new Metapost? How can I get the number into the circle?

The documentation has an example for placing a label in the margin, but it doesn't work, it is still in the text: \definelabel[video][text=Video,location=inmargin] \starttext The label\video\ (Video 1) is not in the margin \stoptext or did I misunderstand the meaning of location? current minimal Herbert

Bug in ligature lookup

Hi, used font: http://fonts.qurancomplex.gov.sa/wp-content/uploads/2012/06/UthmanTN1-Ver10… Minexample: \definefont[uthm][file:UthmanTN1Ver10*arabic at 20pt] \starttext \uthm \setupalign[r2l] ??????? \stoptext You see, that the letters are not connected, it should be look like the attached image with this ligature. In the image you see the same font and the same above unicode-text, but rendered with CorelDraw instead. So it may or may not be a font-issue, but solvable in ConText? Thanks. Huseyin

URL oddity

Below are two MWEs. The only difference is with \setupinteraction. When the resulting link is copied from the pdf and pasted into a browser, one can see that there is a trailing / added to the interactive version, but not to the non-interactive version. For this url (and many others), that causes a 404 failure. Additional experimentation shows that a second / is not added when a trailing slash has been provided. This is not the case with TL2013. It is the case with 2014.03.28 15:04 MKIV beta. Why has the trailing slash added? Is this an intentional change? typewriter style with Constantia

Undefined control sequence: setupresume

I am unable to compile anything using the resume module from Wolfgang's t-letter package. lmmath and \cong

Dear list, There might be something obviously wrong with the following minimal example, but it doesn't show the "\cong" symbol. \enablemode[lmmath] \starttext \math{{\cal B} \cong {\cal C}} \stoptext I use lmmath to have the same output on calligraphic characters as with latex. My context version is beta, less than a fortnight old. Regards, Chris

Set two symbols in relative coordinates

Hi, because of some lacks of my font, I have to use some ugly font-hacks (bad, I know, but have no choice, because there is still really no good arabic font for setting quran, seems to be to hard for the world). One of these hacks is to define a new letter by setting to symbols in relative coordinates/position to each other. E.g. I have here an alif (just like a vertical line) together with a dot above it: \define\dotalif{{ا \hskip-0.2em{\arial ۟}\hskip0.2em}} with \hskip I can control the relative position horizontally. How to control the vertical position, without effecting or switching the line - like \vskip would do. Is there a method to bring it in position (relatively, using em as unit), without affecting the normal text? Maybe as overlay or something like that? Thanks. Huseyin

Stretching only specified columns with Natural Tables

Hello list, I'm using the Natural Table macros to typeset some tables in the following way: \starttext \setupTABLE [frame=off, option=stretch, textwidth=\textwidth] \setupTABLE [row] [odd] [background=color, backgroundcolor=gray] \bTABLE \bTR \bTD One \eTD \bTD Two \eTD \bTD Three \eTD \eTR \eTABLE \stoptext Now I would like to have the additional space (which is gained by stretching) be distributed only /between/ the columns, or, in other words, leave the last column unstretched. I would need something like this: \setupTABLE [column] [last] [width=default] I don't want a fixed width on the last column, it should have the default width. I can't use "\setupTABLE [column] [...] [width=broad]" for all columns but the last, because instead of distributing the space equally, it makes all "broad" columns the same width, and instead of leaving the other columns untouched, it makes them narrower. Adjusting overbar for a special font

Hello there, I tried to overbar an arabic word, and noticed, that the bar is too low and overlaps the letters. While producing a minexample, I noticed that this might be a issue of my font, because this does not happen with Arial. You can download the used font-file "UthmanicHafs1Ver09.ttf" here: http://fonts.qurancomplex.gov.sa/download/UthmanicHafs1Ver09Font.zip We have discussed this font here month ago, hans commented: "yes, but calling this a normal font is somewhat over-the-top" So it is quite "special" - but still best available font (free or commercial) for typesetting the holy quran. But setting the bar a bit higher should be easily possible, independent of these font-lacks, right? The solution should be independent from the chosen font-size. Thanks! Huseyin

Bug: Overlapping Text

TLS and externalfigure

Hi, I have images hosted on a local web server using a self-signed certificate. For example: https://localhost/images/.../file.png When using ConTeXt, the image cannot be retrieved; a verified signed certificate works as expected. Using wget, self-signed certificates can be forced: wget --no-check-certificate https://localhost/images/.../file.png Does ConTeXt have a way to ignore/bypass certificate validation? If so, how? (Note: the certificate's common name is currently blank, which does not match 'localhost' -- I can fix that if required...) Thank you!

The horizontal and vertical rule marks are missing in the first image. The gradient shadows are missing in the second image, and the grill is incorrect (looks like a layer order issue).

mirrored leftmarginwidth in enumerations

If anyone has a suggestion for putting enumeration texts toward the right edge of the left margin, I would be grateful. In MkII enumerations, I would put a triangle (fig.2) in the left margin using \defineenumeration [pause] [title=no, text={\externalfigure[fig.2][height=1em]}, location=inleft, number=no, ] The triangle was automatically aligned toward the right side of the left margin (fill glue on the left), which was what I wanted, on even and odd pages. In MkIV, the marginal text is automatically aligned to the left side. I restored the MkII effect using this hack (using a > instead of the triangle, to make the example more self contained): \defineenumeration [pause] [title=no, text={\hbox to \leftmarginwidth{\hfil $>$}}, number=no, alternative=inleft, ] But I just realized that the hack doesn't work for double-sided layouts. Using the leftmarginwidth is correct on the odd pages, but it is too big for the even pages. Thus, on page 2 of the example below, the > overlaps the "question" text. Is there a more idiomatic MkIV replacement for my hack? Or is my hack okay, but ConTeXt should be updated to interpret leftmarginwidth to mean "the leftmarginwidth, as appropriate for an odd or an even page"?
