Dear list, I typeset URLs with \hyphenatedurl, and have two questions. (1) Is there a feature available to insert a custom symbol when a line-break occurs, e.g. \hookleftarrow? (2) How can I disable the stretching between characters? Typesetting file names with ~

Hello, which is the best way to typeset text (aka file names) containing tilde so that the tilde be visible? I guess there is a something like (inline) "verbatim" mode which makes ~ (and maybe % $ etc.) visible... A bug color in tikz

Hi, It's an annoying bug of TikZ with ConTexT: in some circumstances, the content after a tikzpicture is coloured. I refered it [here](http://www.ntg.nl/pipermail/ntg-context/2014/077374.html), and it's also present in the latest version of the minimals. Anyone could check it if he/she finds a bug. Thanks, Xan.

Problem with List of Abbreviations Dear all, In my list of abbreviations I need different styles for different types of entry. A typical case is titles of journals, of which both the abbreviation and the full name should be slanted. I had it working, albeit with some tricks, with older versions of mkiv, up till 25-01, but with more recent versions things don’t work anymore. Also the setup-commands seem to have been changed: In recent versions the pair: definesynonyms[abbreviation][abbreviations][\infull][\inshort] \setupabbreviations[textstyle=slanted,synonymstyle=slanted,criterium=all] gives en error message about an undefined control sequence. In the following minimal example I have listed what I could find as possibilities. The top three work with older versions. In the bottom three, for the recent mkiv, both textstyle and synonymstyle remain normal. In the older versions only the abbreviation could be made slanted the way, but I could make the synonym slanted with {\em entry} , and I still could do that, but this cannot be done with the abbreviation. Date format problems

Hi all, I started using ConteXt a while ago, on the side line I still use LaTeX (old habits die hard). When converting my CV to ConTeXt I have a weird date problem. I hope one of you can point me in the right direction. I copy the start of the document from vi (line 4 is the relevant line): \setuppapersize[A4] 2 \setuplayout[style=\ss] 3 %\setupfooter[style=] 4 \setuplanguage[nl][date={dd, -, mm, -, year}] 5 6 \setupheadertexts[CV Guus Bonnema] 7 \setupfootertexts[\currentdate][pagenumber] 8 9 %\definebodyfont[10pt][ss][tfe=lbr at 105pt] 10 Line 4 is the relevant line here. What I expect to see in the footer is a date like either 29-07-2014 or 29 july 2014, but what I get is July 29, 2014. Also the log seems to indicate language en. How to make floats extend into the outer margin

Dear list, I have some big-width floats, and want them to span the regular text width plus the outer margin. I can position them manually with \kern. Is there a way to make them automatically extend into the outer margin? I have tried different options for location=... without success. Strange Behaviour of \mathop

Dear list, I stumpled upon a very strange effect that \mathop has on the vertical positioning of characters. \mathop applied to a single character results in the character's baseline being lower than the baseline of all other characters. This does neither depend on the font (checked with Lucida OT, Pagella and LatinModern) nor on the specific character. A minimal example for LatinModern and Pagella is attached. Hello, From command/setuphead <http://wiki.contextgarden.net/Command/setuphead> I inferred this should work to set linespace to 1.5 within the chapter/section but it doesn't. Should it? I read on \setupinterlinespace and it's resetting mechanic but thought the parameter in setuphead would work. Say that you have this: test1.tex : uses \component one/test2 one/test2.tex : uses \component two/test3 etc. There can be resources under one/two that test3 needs and one way out is to add this path to the used paths. Doing that automatically can result in side effects when multiple resources with the same name are used. However, we now have a concept of the local job path, so when test2 is read the jobfile: prefix will use path one, and when reading test3, that prefix will trigger one/two usage. For this to work, one has to say: \usepath[jobfile:] \setupexternalfigures[directory=jobfile:] To what extent this all works out well is to be tested. issue with doublesided

Dear list, using the doublesided alternative such as in: \setuppagenumbering[alternative=doublesided] \starttext \dorecurse{15}{\input zapf\par} \stoptext I always get a final even page, either empty or not. I don’t have access to a printer, so I have to rely on copy-shops. And sometimes I forgot that the printing should leave the final blank page.
