duplicate booklet arrangement

Hans, I need to generate a duplicate booklet from a PDF file. It would be like \setuparrange[2UP, singlesided]. But I need an extra imposition (this is what I have to do now), repeating the same booklet imposition one above each other. This would require a \setuppaper such as [A6][A4]. The first four pages would be: last|first last-1|first+1 last-2|first+2 last+3|first+3 last|first last-1|first+1 last-2|first+2 last+3|first+3 Just in case I haven’t explained myself, here you have a sample: https://archive.org/download/ensayo-escritura/ensayo-escritura.pdf. ConTeXt was used to typeset the book and arrange the booklet. But I needed to use another tool for the final imposition. I think it might be useful for other users also. Different versions of Lua and error in the same versions of ConTeXt (Fedora vs Win7)

Hi ConTeXist... How can I find out what version of Lua uses ConTeXt TeXlive 2014 respectively what version of Lua uses Standalone ConTeXt? The point is that Pablo Rodriguez use Fedora 20, which comes with Lua-5.2.2. Pablo tested last version of my module ScanCSV and his current version of standalone ConTeXt gained mistake, while I compiled (with the same current version of Standalone under Win7) the same source code without error .... Can I use mkii and mkiv side by side?

I have a finished mkii project and I’d like to be able to export it to a format that can be a start for other distributions (such as epub or the like). For this, I get the impression I need mkiv. Now, before I go on trying to move my project to mkiv I have a question. Can I run mkii and mkiv side by side? That is, if I configure my TeX setup for mkiv (I am using MacTeX 2014), can I still fall back to the old setup when I fail? Second, is there some step-by-step instruction to move a project from mkii to mkiv? G

Float placement problem (layers)

Dear all, I have a book cover that is created with layers. It has worked fine this far and I could swear that I haven't changed anything, but the file (attached) now hangs on placement of a graphic. > The point is that Pablo Rodriguez use Fedora 20, which comes with Lua-5.2.2. I think TeX Live 2014 uses Lua-5.2.3 on all platforms. I don't know differences between 5.2.2 and 5.2.3. Current windows version of standalone ConTeXt also uses 5.2.3. Best, Akira

Is there a way that I can specify the document from the command line in the line below? \insertpages[mydocument.pdf][width=0pt] Is there any way that context compiles using the a pipe? (Sorry if this is wrong, but this is totally new to me.) head stopper and hang

What am I missing here? Doesn’t hang in \setuphead do the same as width in \setuplist? Or which would be the option that achieves the same in \setuphead? Dear everyone, I have defined in ConTeXt an enumeration for definitions: \defineenumeration[definition][theorem][ text={Definition}, prefix=chapter, way=bychapter, right=., titleleft=(, titleright=.), distance=0.5em, headstyle=\ss, title=yes, titlestyle=\ss, alternative=serried, width=broad, indentnext=no] I would like to set the distance between the header, i.e. "Defintion [numberOfTheDefintion]", and the title thereof to 0.5em (just like I set with the distance key the distance between the title and the text of the definition). Context to epub: itemize

Hi, I'm trying to generate epub from ConTeXt and I couldn't get the itemize environment to work. I follow http://wiki.contextgarden.net/ePub and get the structure described but when I look into the xhtml, there is no itemize environment. (At least no with Safari, Firefox or Calibre.) When use vi I see something that looks like my items in a very complex form. Blank space between \subsection & columns (related to: XML processing & columns & (almost) empty pages)

Hello, I found a "more minimal" example which produces unwanted blank space between \subsection and columns: ---- % nofruns=1 \starttext \dorecurse{5}{ \subsection{T} \startcolumns[n=4,balance=yes] \input knuth \stopcolumns } \stoptext ---- The blank space appears on pg. 2 (subsection #4) - the head is not bound to the following columns. setupcite in mkiv to cite two references

Hi list, I need some help about formatting citations in mkiv. What I want is something like [3, 4] if I put \cite[ref3,ref4]. However, what I actually get is [3 and 4]. Hello, how to more easily achieve this?: ---- Some text on line Text in box Longer text in the box Shorter text in box |<------------------>| Width of the box is that of the longest text in it |<---->| Some space between the preceeding text and the box |<------------------------------------------>| Text width available (\textwidth) ---- The solution should have the following features: - Text in the box to be written "at once" with a token (be "\\" or "\par" or another) to go to the next line; - The box (wrapping "Text in box", "Longer text in the box", "Shorter text in box") should have no width specified - it should get it from the longest member (line) in it (in our case: width of "Longer text in the box"); - Text in the box should be "alignleft"; - Base line of first text the box to be vertically aligned to the base of the preceding text, i.e. "Some text on line" to have the same basement as "Text in box"; - A horizontal filler may be placed between "Some text on line" and the box to fit "text width available". XML processing & columns & (almost) empty pages (?)

Hello, I'm processing a XML (.x18) with Ctx. At one place, I'm getting almost empty page (see pg. 6, "19 Svisle vedeni L56.2") - there is a subsection on the top of the page and a quite short two-column environment on the next page (why?); in preceding and following pages (which are principally the same) headings and column-environments are printed correctly each after another. I attached all files needed and I hope .x18 is minimized enough. (The original .x18 was several times bigger - I stripped unused data still to be able to reproduce the behavior.) For example I find a space between C:\1da\support\batch; and C:\Ruby\bin;C:\Windows\system32 i.e., C:\1da\support\batch; C:\Ruby\bin;C:\Windows\system32 There are many such spaces which should be removed. I think quotations such as "C:\Program Files (x86)\ghostgum\gsview" should be removed like C:\Program Files (x86)\ghostgum\gsview Best, Akira

It is an awesome module for document merging. I’m having a problem that I don’t know how to solve. Each merged document has different layers for the first and other pages. But I don’t know how to set a different layout for the first page in each merged document. I have tried three options. 1. \definelayout[first] only works for the first page in document, not for each merged document. 2. \definelayout[even] and \definelayout[odd] work as long as each merged document contains less than three pages. Otherwise, it won’t work. 3. Adding an \mbox{}\blank[75mm] would do the job, but it’s a crappy way to work with ConTeXt (and it might lead to errors in the future).
