Hi, I'm defining a slightly smaller bullet point symbol: \definesymbol[smallbullet][\small\bullet] \setupitemize[1][smallbullet] This aligns the smaller bullet point to the baseline of text, which is too low. I'd like to have it vertically centered, such that it aligns in the middle of where the regular-sized \bullet would be. I tried using \inframed[height=\lineheight], but I couldn't find a way to make that end up in the right place. Any suggestions please? Thanks, -- Kate

I would like to be able to go directly to a local document by an interaction statement. The \goto command seems to be meant for this. However, the descriptions in the command reference and the Wiki do not explain all of its parameters: In \goto{1}{2}[3] parameters 1 and 2 are marked CONTEXT and 3 is marked REFERENCE. I could find parameter {1} typeset in the text and [3] as the reference in for example a \placefigure. What is {2} supposed to do? \goto{}Something}[] does not places Something to find. I tried to effect the jump to a document on my system with \goto{local-doc}[/Volumes/Users/myhome/Documents/myfigure.jpg] but this does not works as I hoped. How to? Hans van der Meer

place figure at the top left corner of the header

Hello list, I need to place a figure with its topleft corner on the topleft corner of the header. The figure would be large as the textframe and covering all the header and part of the textframe, leaving the text flow below the figure. In other words, a normal figure \textwidth large, but starting out of the textframe, at the header top, as if the textframe had the same topleft corner of the header. Which is the best way to obtain it? Do I need a custom page makeup, a layer or simply configuring \placefigure? Thank you, Massi

Allow widows/orphans at column breaks only

Dear all, I use the usual \clubpenalty10000 \widowpenalty10000 commands to avoid orphans and widows, this works all fine, but I wondered if it was possible to avoid them only on page break but allow them at column breaks (probably not every one would think that’s nice to have those between columns). External fonts handling

After an update, I used to run: OSFONTDIR=$HOME/.fonts mtxrun --script fonts --reload so that the font cache is regenerated. This workflow works in TeXLive, but recently fails in beta. Question on headings and text around them

Dear all, In some text I am typesetting I noticed that the text following a section was always starting on same page (which is all fine), but in some cases the text preceding the section heading was also finishing on same page, ie the last paragraph before the section heading was broken in previous page, say N lines on previous page and 2 in the page in which the section starts (I have \widowpenalty10000 that’s probably why there are 2 lines in new page), even if there is space in the previous page for the 2 lines (there are even 3 blank lines at the end of the page). Apparently I could solve this “problem”, adding some 0 penalty: \definevspacing[BeforeHeading][penalty:0] \def\BeforeBook{\blank[BeforeHeading, line]} % was \def\BeforeBook{\blank[line]} which seems to avoid breaking page between text before heading and heading itself \setuphead[section][before=\BeforeBook] My question is simply, is that a correct way to fix the problem, or is that just “luck” this fixes the issue ? Luatex 0.85.0 announcement

New luatex release, 0.85.0 It's really a big change respect to 0.81.0 (see NEWS for a full report) and, well, there can be bugs (that of course we will solve). Problems with alignchar and width=broad

Hi, [I'm not subscribed to the list, so I would appreciate it if people could keep me in the CC.] Recent versions of ConTeXt seem to have developed a problem with TABLE, where aligncharacter=yes and width=broad won't work together. This document demonstrates: \starttext \bTABLE[width=\textwidth] \setupTABLE[c][1][width=broad] \setupTABLE[c][2][width=fit] \setupTABLE[c][3][width=fit,aligncharacter=yes] \bTR\bTD xxx \eTD\bTD 10 hrs @ 30 \eTD\bTD 300.00 \eTD\eTR \bTR\bTD[nc=2]\eTD\bTD 300.00 \eTD\eTR %\bTR\bTD\eTD\bTD\eTD\bTD 300.00 \eTD\eTR \eTABLE \stoptext Like that, with a row with [nc=2], the first two columns are typeset directly on top of each other. If that line is replaced with the commented line underneath it, the overlap goes away, but the table is much wider than it should be and runs off the edge of the page. In both cases, the problem can be removed either by removing the [aligncharacter=yes] or by replacing [width=broad] with [width=fit]. This is with the TeXLive15 version of context, 2015.05.18 12:26. I have also reproduced it with live.contextgarden.net, which I think is the same version. The problem did not occur with the TeXLive14 version, which was 2014.05.21 22:04. Ben

But it couldn’t hide horizontal bars in math mode. Is there a way to hide horizontal bars also? Here is an sample code. Thank you. Issue with initial (new beta)

Dear all, First of all, thanks for new beta. It fixes the initial feature (in previous beta there were not typeset at all). But while testing (a bit somewhat extreme example to push the limits) I came up with some initial letter hanging in the footer (page 3). Not sure the issue is linked with mixedcolumns but could not reproduce in plain vanilla environment. Also I noticed that if the paragraph is too short the initial overwrites the next paragraph(s) (to reproduce simply comment out the mixedcolumns). MWE: \starttext \startmixedcolumns[balance=yes] \dorecurse{10}{ \setupinitial[location=text, n=4] \placeinitial \input{ward} \setupinitial[location=text, n=6] \placeinitial \input{knuth} } \stopmixedcolumns \stoptext Admitedly this example has lots of lettrines. new beta

Hi, There is a new beta coming but it goes in sync with a new release of luatex (0.85). As there have been some fundamental changes the macros and engine need to be updated in sync so when something goes wrong with an update, be patient and wait till binaries are in sync with macros for your platform. By the end of this week the garden should be ok. The 0.85 release will be followed by a 0.90 early next year and 0.95 for texlive 2016. Then at the 10th context meeting we can release 1.00. After that the functionality of luatex is mostly stable but we can (and will) play with a follow up (so 2.* version will be betas again upto a 3.* release). We've not run out of ideas yet. vertical space with \reference

Context puts extra vertical between “Line one" and “Line two” in this example. Should it do that? \starttext Line one. \reference[refs]{}% Line two. \stoptext I ask because pandoc inserts \reference[refs]{}% at the beginning of its bibliography section; that produces extra vertical space. I do not think this command should produce any space at all, but perhaps I am mistaken. Thank you!

I installed in windows 7 x64 standatalone context from http://standalone.contextgarden.net/setup/context-setup-mswin.zip I installed it with first-setup.bat --version=current --modules=all I added d:\context\tex\texmf-win64\bin in the PATH I made a simple \starttext .. \stoptext file and run it in a command prompt with: context myfile.tex Below is the output. Hello list. I just have a pairof questions. Could someone point me to the fonts' script used by mtxrun? back in, let's see.. 2011, Mojca replied to Vladimir Lomov, with: > If TEXMFSYSVAR is writable, the cache goes to TEXMFSYSVAR. I tried with separate installations first, and finally settled with texlive full, but it made no difference. I know it works in x64 for example, but for some reason, it refuses to follow the exemplary behavior in an i386. (Most of the modules fail or wouldn't find types). "Trial typesetting" in ConTeXt / lua ?

Dear all, Is it possible in ConTeXt within lua code to do “trial typesetting” (not sure that’s best name for what I would like to achieve) ? By this I mean store some input (with text and macros) in some buffer and do what ConTeXt does normally (parsing, create nodes …) but instead of shipping the nodes to line breaking algorithm and to the page output, only retrieve the nodes and after discard them. This is to get an estimate of the total text width within a paragraph (to calculate some shape on the paragraph). I browsed the lua code from http://source.contextgarden.net/ but I do not dare to use too low level lua functionality. Many thanks for any hint (even a pointer to lua function). Best way to prevent wrong column/page break with par starting with \starthanging

Dear all, I am using \starthanging to implement dropcaps (with small pdf files). I use this Inside mixedcolumns (2 columns). I’d like to know if there is a better way than \testcolumn[N], N being the number of lines of the dropcap, to prevent the location of dropcap being cut between end of column/page and beginning of next. Tried \keeplinestogether{N} instead but it does not work in all cases. That question was mainly to see if there were any possibility to avoid some blank lines at end of some columns (ie not balanced in given page). Thanks a lot Best regards Joseph

Overlong chapter titles in headings

Hello list, I'm typesetting end notes with the pages where they get called (don't think about \endnote since I'm not using it; they are simple \item paragraphs). Here's an example: 4 Text of the end note blah blah blah blah blah, end of para. p. 3, 45, 96 which means that the end note 4 occurs in pages 3, 45, 96. The pages are flushed to the right using \hfill. This works as long as there's enough room for the pages' numbers. In case like this: 5 Text of the fifth endnote blah blah blah a little longer to fill the text width. p. 4, 12 the pages are note flushed right because the \hfill expires at the end of the second line. Dear all, I use product file: FM_main.tex which contains component files like FM_1.tex, FM_2.tex, etc. They are all in the same folder. In each component file, I put “% !TEX root=FM_main.tex” at the first line. It worked fine but some time after it won’t work. I know that it is a matter of TeXShop, but I just wonder why it doesn’t work now. Is there any clue for this? I am using TeXShop in the latest Mac OS X. Thank you in advance. Best regards, Dalyoung

Dear Sirs, I'm trying to make a exam for my students. After the question I should provide a blank space for the answer. In the margin I want write the partial scores for the answer. The problem occurs when I force a new page. In this case the text in the margin is flushed to the next page. I don't want this behavior. How can I can this? location of old ConTeXt versions?

Dear ConTeXters, In order to correct an embarrassing thinko (wrong units of acceleration!) in my book for its next printing, I need to regenerate the PDF changing only that one spot. Thus, I am looking for an old ConTeXt version, 2014.05.17. The latest versions find different page and line breaks. I haven't been able to convince them to rediscover the old breaks (which were carefully optimized over a few miserable weeks back in 2014). I have the 2014.05.17 minimal on my old laptop, a i386 32-bit Linux laptop (2006 vintage). I joined the 2010 decade recently and now use 64-bit laptop; the 32-bit minimals don't work on it. The wiki, at <http://wiki.contextgarden.net/ConTeXt_Standalone#Reverting_to_an_older_inst…>, says that the old versions are available at <http://minimals.contextgarden.net/current/context/>, where I found only the latest versions. Could you point me to a linux/64-bit minimal for 2014.05.17? I'll update the wiki accordingly. (If the old versions are gone, I'll dig out my old laptop and regenerate it that way, or try convincing the laptop to use 32-bit executables as well.) How to scale an external figure from lua ?

Kerning and ligatures in math roman font

In this example there is no kerning and no ligatures in the math: \starttext WAiff $\mfunction{WAiff}$ \stoptext This is a different behaviour than with legacy math fonts. A question about this has been asked some month ago on tex.sx (http://tex.stackexchange.com/questions/252493/ligatures-are-not-used-in-ope…) The problem (or feature) exist also with xetex. With luatex one can avoid to loose the kerning by loading as math roman font a font in mode base (http://tex.stackexchange.com/questions/277362/lualatex-no-kerning-within-op…, I have no idea how to do this in context). Dear list members, is there some command to issue in order to have ligatures copy-paste correctly in PDFs? I thought Mk IV did this automatically, but it’s not working on my system. Ligatures paste as spaces and searching the PDF doesn’t find the words. I use ConTeXt beta 2015-10-09, Apple Preview and Skim as readers. footnotes in frames

Hi, is it, by any kind of magic, possible to have footnotes within a frame (no float) that will be typeset with the normal footnotes flow? Another issue with EBGaramond / firstline / mixedcolumns

Dear all, Trying to use EB Garamond font Inside mixed columns + use firstline feature (to make it larger) I get an empty line in output between first line and the rest of paragraph. If I comment the line containing \setupbodyfont and use default font the problem disappears (even with larger \tfa ratios well above 2). The problem seems only to happen when first line contains letters with space hanging below line base (like g or p for example). How to place background text on proper page

Dear list members, In the following minimal example the last block (on the background) is placed on page 3 while there is ample room for it on page 2. Only when the \page command in line 6 is uncommented, this block is placed on page 2. Is there a better way to force placement on page 2 or should I always put a \page command at the bottom of the previous page? Problem using markings

Dear all, I would like to display in page header the number of first and last subsection that starts on a given page (ie the title of those appear on that page regardless their content). For this I tried using \fetchmarking[subsectionnumber][][top] and \fetchmarking[subsectionnumber][][bottom] but it does not give me the expected results if (it seems) the page does not start immediately with a new subsection (ie there is text of subsection starting from previous page). In the example below in page 2 I’d like to have 1.4 - 1.6, but top marking equals to 1.3 in this case. In the other pages top marking contains expected number (well the number I’d like to print). I guess there is some logic to use using previous, top and first markings but I fail to understand what it could be. Many thanks Best regards Joseph Canedo

adjusting sans to serif; weird solution

Hello list, I'm using Garamond Premier Pro and Myriad Pro as serif and sans fonts. I need to adjust their relative size so that Garamond 11pt looks like having the same weight of Myriad Pro 11pt. I found a good tradeoff reducing Myriad by a 0.85 factor. To achieve that I've used "sa" (scaled at) in \definebodyfont and "rscale" in \definetypeface (see the code below). The weird thing is that body font size 11pt is sensible only to "rscale", while body font sizes 15pt and 8.5pt are sensible only to "sa". I suspect there's something I did not understand in ConTeXt fonts. In the attachment you can see the four variations: font-adjust-none: no adjustment, Myriad looks slightly bigger at 11, 15 and 8.5pt font-adjust-only-rscale: only "rscale" adjustment, serif and sans look balanced at 11pt, but not at 15 and 8.5pt font-adjust-only-sa: only "sa" adjustment, serif and sans look balanced at 15 and 8.5pt, but not at 11pt font-adjust-sa-rscale: serif and sans always look balanced With sa AND rscale everything is ok, but WHY? What am I missing? Another question: I expect ConTeXt to use GaramondCaption instead of Garamond at 8.5pt, but this does not happen. Why? Vectorsigns are missplaced

Hello in latest beta the vector signs are missplaced: %\usetypescript[palatino] %\setupbodyfont[palatino] \starttext \m{\vec{v}} \m{\vec{F}_{\rm res}} \stoptext With lm-fonts the vector sign is more or less correct over the F, but wrong over the letter v. accented capital in XML, how to smash it?

Hello list, I have problems with accented capitals like "È" adding some vertical space to their lines. Is there a way to \smash them automatically? That's because I'm typesetting XML and not directly using ConTeXt. I tried an automatic translation with \usemodule[translate] \translateinput[È][\smash{È}] ... \enableinputtranslation but it does not work.

More ebgaramond issues (newotf, finding fonts and kerning)

Three problems with ebgaramond. * With the new otf loading facility, kerning is not done. * With the new otf loading facility, the regular 8pt face is not found. If one is changing font size via \tfxx, the font size is not changed. If one is changing font size via \switchbodyfont[8pt], Latin Modern 8pt is substituted. * With the oldotf module loaded kerning is as expected for the 12pt regular face, the 8pt regular face, and the 8pt italic face. New btx code problem with quote protrusion, redux

At Wolfgang’s request, a new thread for this subject. I have cleaned up the example from the July 5 posting, but the problems are the same as shown there. In July Alan suggested that there might a bug here, but nothing has been done to address it since then. Wolfgang suggested (http://www.mail-archive.com/ntg-context%40ntg.nl/msg35580.html) that method=font is required for proper protrusion handling for quotations. 1. When \setupdelimitedtext[quotation][method=font] is present /and //there is //no citation//in a footnote within a startquotation block and a bibliography is produced/, compilation proceeds normally. 2. When \setupdelimitedtext[quotation][method=font] is present /and //there is a citation//in a footnote within a startquotation block and a bibliography is produced,/ the compilation complains of a missing right curly. When allowed to continue to completion the protrusion for the opening quotation marks does not match the protrusion for similar marks not produced through \startquotation. Citations in footnotes outside quotation blocks are not a problem. Without a bibliography (\placelistofpublications) 3. When \setupdelimitedtext[quotation][method=font] is present, the [right] option of \startblockquotation is treated as text within the quotation. This can be resolved by adding “leftmargin=” to the \setupdelimitedtext[quotation] command (but that complicates matters when you want other alignments). Similarly, the [left] and [middle] options are ignored as options and appear as text. 4. When “method=font” is not present, protrusion for block quotations (\startblockquotation … \stopblockquotation) is greater than and not aligned with other protrusion. 5. When “method=font” is not present, protrusion for non-block quotations (\quotation{…}) is not done at all. 6. With the older bibliography system, footnotes in citations in quotation blocks do not cause a halt in compilation. 7. \fetchmark broken despite change in strc-mar.mkiv with fix

Dear all, I saw that \fetchmark command broken and applied the (small) change as explained in http://www.mail-archive.com/dev-context%40ntg.nl/msg02349.html but the command is still giving wrong marks in headers. Is there any other fix or should I run some command after having modified the strc-mar.mkiv file ? I need to use \fetchmark in a if command and I understand \getmarking is not usable for this. issue with oxia in latest beta

Dear list, I have the following sample: \definefontfamily[mainface][rm][Theano Didot] \setupbodyfont[mainface] \starttext \startTEXpage[offset=.5ex] έέ \stopTEXpage \stoptext Theano Didot can be downloaded from http://ousia.tk/theano-2.0.otf.zip. For some reason unknown to me, latest beta from 2015.10.09 21:28 only prints epislon with tonos (from Greek the code range) and ignores epsilon with oxia (from the extended Greek code range). My previous beta from 2015.09.13 13:31 prints both accented Greek vowels fine. Could anyone confirm the bug? As far as I have tested, it only happens with this particular font. Dropcaps in ConTeXt

Dear all, I try to typeset some text with dropcaps which are pdf files in a 2 column text. I came up with 3 possibilities as shown in the sample below (attached D1.pdf). So far best solution seems to use the lettrine module, but I wondered if it would be possible to cope with the issue with figure and text overlapping if the first paragraph is very short (ie avoid using \\) ? Had a look to lettrine module source and wondered where I could find some documentation on the low level ConTeXt commands used in there ? For example to amend the code to avoid Lines= and use the actual figure size. Dear all, I would like to use the first line specific style magic but I cannot make it to work within 2 column text. I give a simple example (I’ve modified from previous post example on this list). Is that expected ? If you uncomment the \startcolumns and \stopcolumns below, the first line style disappears (both bigger font line and dark blue 2 first words). Line height - changes in defaults

Dear All, comparing same source generated in 0.80 and in recent 0.81 beta I can see changes in default line height. See the attached image - that black text is the current, the grey is the old one. In my B5 page size there were approx 44 lines while now only 39. Improving Pandoc Support for ConTeXt

Dear list, Pandoc, if you have not heard of it before, is a rather brilliant program for converting text between different markup languages: it allows, in essence, for technology-independent writing. It has been mentioned a few times on this list, with Pablo Rodríguez recently developing a set of templates for typesetting its XHTML output (at https://github.com/ousia/from-pandoc-to-context) One of its aims is to ease the process of producing a high-quality PDF; it has the strongest support for LaTeX at the moment, but it seems to me that ConTeXt would ultimately provide a more reliable and lightweight solution. The basic support is already in place; it only needs to be more thoroughly updated to take advantage of MkIV. I am working on improving Pandoc's generic ConTeXt template, at <https://github.com/jgm/pandoc-templates/blob/master/default.context>; the initial proposal is at <https://github.com/jgm/pandoc-templates/pull/138>, which aims to show more of ConTeXt’s potential to the user through making variables available that configure its options. I am still new to ConTeXt (having used LaTeX for several years), and could not find a recent starter document. The example at <http://wiki.contextgarden.net/Detailed_Example> is from 2006, and clearly does not exhibit the system’s full potential. I would be grateful to know of any potential areas for improvement. If you feel even more inclined to develop the Pandoc support for ConTeXt, its writer can be found at <https://github.com/jgm/pandoc/blob/master/src/Text/Pandoc/Writers/ConTeXt.hs>. In my experience, ConTeXt is much easier to use than LaTeX, but it is more difficult to get started with initially due to the lack of resources for new users; it is my hope that full support for it in Pandoc will provide one way of delving into it more deeply. I want to typeset a series of items in the itemize-list structure. But not numbered 1. 2. etc, but each item a separate indication, in fact in this case years. Hello all, I have an another newbie ConTeXt user question (very powerful but the learning curve is a bit steep at least for me 😊). Sorry if this is documented in the Wiki but could not find an example to do this. I would like to have text splitted in chapters (or sections) with some title, which I can do fine and have these divided in sections (or subsections) whose title is just for example: Chapitre 1, Chapitre 2, … ie a simple label + a counter after it. How can I do this please ? I tried using \setupheads[number=no] to not print the number at left side of title but this makes \structurenumber or \headnumber[section] empty. What is the prefered way to load a system font ?

Hi again, I'm puzzled about the prefered way to load a system font, and I read the wiki is outdated. Is \setmainfont deprecated for \definefontfamily + \setupbodyfont ? Or are they different things ? Also, how am I supposed to find the right family name to feed both with ? I read somewhere that the output of mtxrun (which column ?) should be used and not fc-list output, then I read the opposite, and I read that the --info option of mtxrun should provide the same family name as listed with most GUI software, yet I tried and it doesn't… Thanks. Question on typesetting paragraphs with non rectangle shape

Error when installing context standalone

Started command: first-setup.bat --context=current --modules=all After a couple of minutes: I get: ! Two column layout with footnotes do not work as expected

Hi, footnotes in two column layouts are typeset at the bottom of the respected column but with the width of two columns. Expected: 1) Either footnotes spanning the whole page from left to right at the bottom of the page. 2) Or have the footnote be restricted to one column only. How can I achieve the former? Problem with setuptagging and ebgaramond font, also hsize question

With the following example, there are no hyphens where words are broken across lines. When the \setuptagging line is removed, or the state changed to stop, hyphens appear as expected. So far I have only seen this with the ebgaramond font using a current standalone beta (ConTeXt ver: 2015.10.09 21:28 MKIV beta fmt: 2015.10.21) running on Windows 10 Pro x64. With TL15 ConTeXt ver: 2015.05.18 12:26 MKIV current fmt: 2015.10.10 int: english/english hyphens are printed with or without \setuptagging[state=start]. I also notice that the \hsize directive is ignored after the 4th iteration of zapf. That is, the first four paragraphs are constrained to the specifice hsize, and the remaining iterations are set at the full textwidth. This occurs with all fonts and without regard to the tagging setup. Hi, I'm trying to set up a header: if a page contains only one marking, it should display this, if it has more than one, display the first and last. Using Flow Charts

Colleagues I'm in the process of setting up a family tree using the Flow Charts module in Context. There are two things I would like to do but I haven't been able to figure out. They may or may not be possible. 1) Is it possible to have different named \setupFLOWlines for use between cells e.g. to vary length between cells, or to make a double line, or to connect in the middle of another connecting line? 2) Is it possible to offset the cell rows so that they would look like bricks stacked in a wall by offsetting alternative rows, or even offsetting different amounts between cells? I have looked through the Charts Uncovered manual and the wiki but nothing has jumped out at me. Any suggestions on a way forward? PDF/UA Support

Dear list, I am beginning to see increasing need for PDF/UA (ISO 14289) files. Earlier this year, the US Access Board announced an update to the rules for the accessibility of electronic documents produced by the government that embraces the standard, which I expect will make it much more prominent. XeTeX cannot produce PDF/UA, and it seems unlikely that it ever will, but unless I am misreading the documentation it appears that ConTeXt has already implemented the necessary functionality. If this is so, it would be helpful to have a page discussing its use in parallel to <http://wiki.contextgarden.net/PDF/A>, and I would even suggest making PDF/UA the default for documents that do not have conflicting commands. The PDF Association seems to be pushing this as the future of the format; if this is so, this is an opportunity to bring ConTeXt to much greater prominence. Hi, is it possible to get the footnote area to span the full width of textwidth+margins? Hello, When placing floats, location=bottom will attempt to place the float at the bottom of the current page; if it will not fit, then it will be placed at the *top* of the following page. How can one specify that the float is be placed at the *bottom* of the subsequent page if there is not enough room for it to be placed at the bottom of the current page? How to start a \definedescription-defined description's body on a new line, not the same as the description's header?

With [start sample] \definedescription[cmddescription][headstyle=bold,width=broad,style=normal,align=flushleft,alternative=hanging,margin=1cm] ... \startcmddescription{mycommand} This is a very useful command. It knows just what to do, and you don't even have to specify any options! \stopcmddescription [end sample] the text "This is a very useful command" begins on the same line as the "mycommand" header. I want the text to begin on the next line, so that "mycommand" is on a line of its own. How should I adjust the \definedescription command to achieve this? I've tried all kinds of things with the 'before', 'inbetween', 'after', 'indentnext', 'command', and 'headcommand' options of the \definedescription command (based on http://wiki.contextgarden.net/Command/setupdescriptions) using \par, \crlf, and \vspace, but didn't get the desired results. Without a minimal example I can only guess. What I can take from the error message is that you have a problem with the list mechanism. To try fixing the problem comment first a list settings where you apply your own commands (e.g. the pagecommand key) and when this doesn't help (don't forget to delete the tuc-file) you can comment the complete \setuplist setting. tex error in curent beta

Dear All, I've updated context, tried to regenerate my tex source and it doesn't compile any more. It was Ok in 0.79 (in March). Avoid double entries in ToC

Hi, I got a very special case: In a booklet of forms, each form must appear twice, but only once in the ToC. At the moment, every form is a chapter in a component that I include twice. Troubles with presentations

Hello all, I would like to ask for a piece of help with presentations. I decided to use the way described at http://wiki.contextgarden.net/Presentations and http://wiki.contextgarden.net/RawSteps. (I use TL 2015.) Problems I came across are: 1. On the first slide, a line with the word "yes" has been generated. (Sometimes more than once, in dependence of number of modules.) 2. Command SetupSteps is undefined. 3. Command StartSteps is defined but not applied. What I am doing wrong? Is somewhere any more detail documentation? I thought something like this had been asked on the list recently, but a search came up empty: how to get footnotes to titles typeset? \automigrateinserts \starttext \startchapter [title={Silly title\footnote{With a silly footnote}}] More text.\footnote{With more footnotes.} \stoptext I thought \automigrateinserts was the magic command, but the note symbol is set, the content of the note disappears.
