accented letters in mkiv

Hi all, sorry if this is obvious and I have simply overlooked something. I need the character U0113 "emacron." It is not present in the font I use. In mkii, I could simply write \=e, and TeX would take care of building (faking) the character. When I try this in mkiv, I get an error: error: ...al/texlive/texmf-local/tex/context/base/font-otf.lua:3329: attempt to index field '?' (a nil value) I'm not complaining about this somewhat opaque error message, but I'm wondering how I can fake this glyph. There was an older discussion on the list which pointed me to char-utf.tex and \definecomposedutf, but the file says "This feature is obsolete." So what would be the canonical way to build such a character in mkiv? Thanks a lot, all best Thomas

Thank you for all the replies. I open "Aquamacs emacs" from the terminal in which "source .luatex" was executed. Then it worked fine. For other methods, I'll try later. By the way, is it normal to run "luatools --generate" and "luatools -- ini --verbose --compile ..." whenever I start computer? Or, I missed something in my setup. Thank you again. Some questions about the taspresent module

Hi all (especially Thomas) I have played these days with the last version of the "taspresent" presentation module, to see how it can be used as such and/or with emacs-muse. I have discovered that due to the \Maketitle macros, which did not exist in the first versions, it is quite easy to have a muse style and nearly everything works quite well. I use mkiv from minimals. I have a few concerns though: - On some of the styles, page numbering is like this: 1 of 10, 2 of 10, etc. Is there a way, as I have to write in french more often than not, to modify that in my tex file without changing the style file (which I prefer not to do)? - With the greenblue style the title page is produced with its layout, but no text appears on that page... - The embossed style doesn't compile, apparently due some missing font (Emblem); is it some rare font, and if not where can I find it? I have installed a file called "Emblem Regular.ttf" but that didn't change things; here is the error message (AucTeX): .................................. Hi, While using oldstyle features with mkiv, -- in a typing environment comes out as a endash. I would consider this a bug. For example: \setfontfeature{oldstyle} \starttext \starttyping -- A comment 123 \stoptyping \stoptext Another interesting feature is that numbers in the typing environmnet come out in oldstyle (they look nice, BTW). This is expected, and can be avoided by using a complete typescript and loading tt fonts with fefault features, and other with oldstyle features. Hi, I am trying to parse a xml file with mkiv to process a list of invoices (factuur in dutch). getting inside xhtml / mkii

Hello, I want to process have a rather complicated xhtml file with dictionary data containing lots of entries like: papa Eng daddy I tried to write some code to get the individual data elements into my ConTeXt-module, but I didn't succeed. This: \defineXMLargument [span class="word"]{\Mywordstyle{\XMLvar{class="word"}{}}} for example fails, it gives all the data within all the different span's, whereas I want to select the different data items using the <span class-attributes (and typeset the different items in different ways afterwards). Maybe I miss something obvious, but I would appreciate some help to solve this. (BTW: I use MKII for this project) Thanks, Jelle

Removing inbreakable whitespace at pagebreaks

Hi, I try to take care in my letter module to keep at least the last sentence in the text the signature together on the same page, this did work but I introduced another problem. To get no linebreak between my two sections I used a nonbreakable whitespace between both but my implementation has the side effect to keep the whitespace also if there is no signature after the text even if it the last vertical skip before the page break. You can see in the following example what I mean. \setuplayout[lines=10]\showgrid \starttext \blank[force,9*line] text \par\nobreak\blank[line] \stoptext The last line of text is moved to the second although it would fit on the first page, I could use twopassdata in my module to get the information if the \nobreak is needed on this place but I hope there is also a solution to remove the skip in the first run, maybe for MkIV only. I looked yesterday in the sources and saw \vspacing in core-spa.mkiv, I dont't know what this should do and was unable to get it working but I'm interested to know how it did work and what it should do. Keeping a block of text together, without breaking footnotes, etc.

G'day. As part of a document I am laying out I have a number of blocks of text that I want to keep together on a single page -- either all before a page break or all after it. I can achieve this using a \vbox, but that has the fairly undesirable property of also preventing footnotes and, presumably, other ConTeXt layout from working as expected. What is the most effective way to achieve this? A good example of what I want follows; in this I want the entire contact form there kept as a single block, not split over pages. Hello, I need to prepare a document for different audiences. The question here is, how to encapsulate the different parts of the document. There are paragraphs which are "public", some more which are "internal" and some which are "private". People who are in the private group should see everything, the group internal only the public parts and the internal ones. As far as I see, modes are not additive. Dear all, Recently I installed Aquamacs Emacs which is nicely working. And I also found AUCTeX macros in the wiki. Since I am a newbie to AUCTeX, I don't know how to apply such codes to Aquamacs. Would someone tell me how to do that? When I choose PDFConTeXt-en>command > ConTeXt, it runs with the command "texexec --once --pdf ...". Is there any way to change it to "texmfstart texexec ..."? Uppercase ssharp with XeTeX and LuaTeX

Hi, is there a solution for ssharp with XeTeX and LuaTeX, I have a word with a ß in it which I convert into uppercase letters and the ß remains a lowercase characters. Alignment of Itemize

I have put this in my source file: \startitemize[R][4*broad,stopper=---] And in the output the m rule (---) was overlapped by the roman numeral. avoid resetting of partnumber in appendix

How can I avoid that resetting of the partnumber within the appendices? For example, I have ,----[ Example ] | \starttext | \part{My First Part within Text} | \part{My Second Part within Text} | | \startappendices | \part{My First Part within the Appendix} | | \stopappendices | \stoptext `---- Since I used `resetnumber=no' with `\setuphead[part][...]' \part{My First Part within Text} becomes part 1 and \part{My Second Part within Text} becomes part 2 in the table of contents ... just what I want. Now, I would like to become \part{My First Part within the Appendix} part 3 in the Table of Contents instead of being reset to number 1 again. How do I do this?

enableregime in mkiv

I am using MacOSX and up till now my files have a Western(Mac OS Roman) encoding, not UTF8. That works fime in ConTeXt-mkii by using \enableregime[mac]. But in ConTeXt-mkiv through luatex I get an error despite that same \enableregime[mac]: For an accented character like é the error is "! Text line contains an invalid utf-8 sequence." How can I solve that other than changing all my files to UTF8 encoding? Hans van der Meer

hyphenation problem

In dutch hyphenated accented characters loose there accent when hyphenated: oö becomes o-o instead of o-ö. But the latter happens when I process the code below. It happens both in mkii and mkiv. The number of a's must be chosen so as to generate hyphenation between the two o's. I tried this also with another font than lmodern, but got the same result. What happened to (dutch) hyphenation? incorrect/absent PostScript names for some greek characters

Dear Hans and All, in char-def.lua there are no "adobename" for "greekDelta" AKA "GREEK CAPITAL LETTER DELTA" "greekOmega" AKA "GREEK CAPITAL LETTER OMEGA" "greekmu" AKA "GREEK SMALL LETTER MU" because adobenames Delta, Omega and mu are used for "INCREMENT", "OHM SIGN", "textmu" AKA "MICRO SIGN". While the issue is of infinitesimal and only potential significance, may be it is worth a fix. The problem likely comes from Adobe Glyph List http://www.adobe.com/devnet/opentype/archives/glyphlist.txt The sub-optimal mapping was fixed in the latest version of Adobe Glyph List For New Fonts http://www.adobe.com/devnet/opentype/archives/aglfn.txt but not in the main Adobe Glyph List. Both lists are referenced from http://www.adobe.com/devnet/opentype/archives/glyph.html BTW, the Adobe Glyph List also has "increment", "Ohm" and "mu1" that look like better candidates for "INCREMENT", "OHM SIGN", "textmu" AKA "MICRO SIGN". ConTeXt meeting: call for abstracts & papers

Dear participants of the ConTeXt meeting (and those that are still hiding the desire to come), It's about the time to start preparing the program of the talks and workshops. So - the ones who would like to share your experience with others (either beginners or advanced topics), you may start submitting abstracts of the talks. It would be nice to have a rough program in the first half of June and complete papers for proceedings in the first week of July, so that we can process them without the last-week-hurry. One of the participants has expressed a desire to have a "beginners talk/workshop" - how to prepare a complete document and/or presentation: setting up headers & footers, appearance of sections, itemization lists, TOC, bibliography, ... Anyone ready to take that over? It would also be nice to have a workshop about Lua programming. I hope that we will have a video camera at the meeting with all the talks landing on http://www.river-valley.tv/ soon after the conference. Also, let's hope for a nice weather. At least 2-4 people are coming to Bohinj only to have some rest & fun while their husbands or wives will be discussing some TeXnical stuff. If anyone would like to stay a day or two longer, we can informally extend the meeting to go to mountains for example and stay in the hut in the mountains over night. Hopefully, the mountaineering guide (participant) will have time to join us :) Bohinj also offers many sport activities (paragliding, rafting, canyoning, hydrospeed, kayak, canoe, mountain biking, high ropes course, ...). Probably not for everyone (that's why it makes no sense to include it in the programme), but let me know if anyone would be interested, so that we can go somewhere together in the afternoon (rafting?), while the rest can still walk around or discuss topics in the meantime. bibmod question

Hi I'm using the bibmod module with the 'ams' style (bibl-ams.tex). If I have two (or more) references by the same author, from the same year, in my bibtex database. The years are printed in the reference list as eg. 2000a, 2000b, etc., even if I only quote one of the. Since the 'ams' style is citing by number, there is no use for these additional letters. Is there a way to turn those off? Thanks, Peter

Hi all, I wanted to use a presentation module today, but it failed with my up-to-date minimals install (mkiv). I ended up on live-context trying: \usemodule[pre-14] \starttext Salut Nivers! \stoptext Also tried pre-01. Both fail with pdftex, xetex and luatex on the web + at home. Anything I miss? -- Jean

Hi, I'm new with ConTeXt. However, during my University years, I frequently used LaTeX. As I'm mostly writing in French, I'd like to know how to configure ConTeXt for the French typesetting. I've already tried the \mainlanguage [fr] switch but this doesn't seem to be enough. For example, it does not insert automatically a small space before the !?: punctuation symbols. So I'm looking for something more complete, like the Babel French or French LE packages worked with LaTeX. Thanks in advance for your help! Oliv

Arranging into Signatures?

(I am still using mkii, which I suspect may matter in this case) I am able to produce rather nice booklets on US Letter paper, printing double-sided two-up pages that fold into a booklet and using texexec --arrange to make it work properly. For documents longer than about 32 pages, it isn't really practical to fold in half. What would y'all recommend if I want to arrange the pages into signatures, each containing about 32 pages, that can then be somehow bound together? An external PDF rearranger might be an option, I suppose.

Hi there, I've got a table of contents for a document that's split into two large sections. I'm trying to display a centered heading for each section, and subsections listed in two columns underneath each section heading. Hello, I have a document converted from rtf to xml that I'd like to attempt to typeset using Context. As a starting point I tried to follow the procedure in a document from the wiki: mag-0008-1.pdf "Dealing with XML". Having copied the first example document and stylesheet from that article and generated sample-1.fx, I run: texexec --pdf --use=fx --xml sample-1.fx but it ends with: (/usr/local/context_minimal/tex/texmf-local/tex/context/base/spec-fdf.tex (/usr/local/context_minimal/tex/texmf-local/tex/context/base/spec-fdf.mkii)) specials : fdf loaded ) specials : fdf,tpd loaded system : module fx not found ) systems : system commands are enabled ) * I installed the minimal today from the wiki to be up to date before posting. Probably something has changed in the four years since mag-0008-1.pdf was written. If some kind soul would point me in the right direction I'll be very grateful. Roger

How to define my own list entry?

Hi everybody, I'm just writing a module to typeset the traditional Chinese books. Here is the thing: I use page-arrangement to put like 15 pages on one page or actually 30 pages on one page in a double-sided mode (I mean page 1 and page 2---which contain 15 mini-pages each---are on the same page), and yes I want to make a table of contents and some PDF bookmarks. But having searched the list, I find that I should use texexec --arrange file.tex to compile the file and get the real page number. That's not what I want. Because if I get one chapter on the second page, the page number is 31 rather than 2 which I really want it to be. And so do the bookmarks behave. If I click the bookmark of the first chapter, it will go to the 31st page of the PDF file if it has page 31. I don't really like the mess. ConTeXt on MikTeX broken

Hello, some time ago some MikTeX users have complained that ConTeXt doesn't work on MikTeX. It seems to be a problem with MikTeX itself since this workaround seems to solve the problem, at least temporary: ruby "C:\Program Files\MiKTeX 2.7\scripts\context\ruby\texmfstart.rb" texexec (But apparently there are not many MikTeX users on the list anyway. Font features not always working

Hi, the features from OpenType fonts are not accesable for all fonts, I tried to use my old test case for Microsofts Cambria fonts and none of the features did work, also kerning is disabled. ConTeXt Minimals & NixoS

Hello! Soon I plan to move to NixOS (http://nixos.org/) distro which uses purely functional package manager (Nix) and does not allow 'destructive' updates which happen with e.g. ConTeXt Minimals and rsync. I'd like to use Luatex and due to its rapid development I am interested to know whether it would be feasible to do rsync locally and then provide Minimals 'snapshot' ? (the question is how to deploy luatex via Minimals'distro'?) Anything what can be done to help with Minimals? Sincerely, Gour

Natural Tables, backgroundcolor, and frames

Hi, I actually posted this last summer, but never got a reply and did not have a chance to follow up. When using natural tables, a cell with backgroundcolor enabled will overwrite the topframe/rightframe from the cell to the left/above. A workaround could be to always use topframe/leftframe. However this workaround is not possible with tables with split=repeat that span multiple pages, since you cannot know which rows on pages beyond the first for which you should set topframe=on. strange effect of "columns"?

hello all I'm using a layout which enables placement on a grid. I have on a page first a figuretext then a columns environment. When I look at the pdf I see clearly (the grid is on) that there are still 13 void lines between the end of the columns and the end of the text area but I can't put anything there and it works as if there were a \page[yes] (which is NOT there, definitely). Minimum file length.

I am writing an e-book where pdf file length is an issue. For the minimal "Hello world" file I get the following lengths: tex+dvips+ps2pdf 2820 pdftex 5630 texexec 22,173 The only thing I added to the last test was the \starttext and \stoptext tags. The dvips etc. test defaulted to pdf 1.2, the other two to pdf 1.4. I don't doubt that with more text the counts would be more similar. Still the fourfold increase between the second test and the third is a stunner. The e-book must be limited to 2 megs per the publisher. Referencing Itemized Items?

Is there some way to set up a reference tag so that I can refer to a particular item in a list, e.g., something vaguely like: You must do the following steps: \startitemize[n] \item Buy the ingredients \item Cook the food \item [??????] Put out the fire \stopitemize Note that Step \in[?????] is optional for experienced chefs. It looks like there are mechanisms to support this in the tex code, but I don't know how to use them.

The problem is that the last (nonempty verso) page of the frontmatter already gets the header and the page number of the bodymatter. Any idea? typescript and memory usage

Hello list, Thanks to Hans, Hraban, Wolfgang and Aditya, I've successfully played with typescripts and Garamond PP as provided by Adobe with luatex. But I still have a little question :) By reducing my typescript to the strict minimum, as below, I'm still using 232 Mo (sic) of ram. My document test only contains nothing but a \switchtobodyfont but it takes 8.7 seconds to compile on a 4000 bogomips machine (athlon 2400+). For the C lover I am, that seems, errh, HUUUUUGE. Is it normal? Note that if I remove the [features=default] argument, mem is divided by 2, and time by 3. Also note that if I use more faces, it can go to 2Go of ram and 2 minutes of computing. two small questions about the mkiv roadmap

Hi all, esp. Hans and Taco, just two simple questions about some minor imperfections in mkiv/ luatex. I'm not impatient, just wondering if these are things that you're working on right now or if they will have to wait: 1. processing xml files with a DTD. This is something we discussed a couple of weeks ago: when I process a valid xml file which begins with a DTD, the output I get in mkiv is "invalid xml file"; the same file processes fine when I remove the DTD. Back then (on 08-03-17), Taco wrote: "It is a bug in luatex, but not an easy one to fix." So I'm wondering if there's any progress on this one, or if it has to wait. 2. error reports in luatex. This is something that comes up time and again on the mailing list and which I experienced myself yesterday. I had inadvertently deleted my luatex-cache and tried to run mkiv on a file. The report I got was "attempt to call field 'error' (a nil value)". Now I'm aware that TeX error reporting could be cryptic at times, but at least it was a kind of cryptic to which we had gotten used. With luatex, I'm constantly baffled - in a 100 years, I wouldn't have guessed that this error message meant "I can't find the cache and the format." So I was wondering if this is something that you're working on: making error messages more informative/comprehensible for users. Again, I'm not impatient, just curious. All best Thomas

Line break and \in{....}[] command; bookmarks

Hi all, I use \definereferenceformat[insection][text=Section] however, sometimes the item is that long that ........ Section 5.5 .......... looks much nicer than a "5.5" sticking out of the margin. Is there a possibility to allow a line break between the text and the number? Secondly, I want to use acroread's bookmarks. But I have two problems: a) I failed to create a bookmark for the title page. What is the best way to do so? Currently, I use: \startmakeup[standard][doublesided=no,page=right] ... \stopmakeup b) Somehow the bookmark list goes wrong. I have: \placebookmarks[chapterEP,chapter,section,subsection] where chapterEP is a specially designed version of \chapter but should be on the same level. First, everything goes nice, but then a chapterEP becomes a descendant of another chapterEP. I have no idea how I can reduce the problem to a small example or how to fix it. Trouble with Index

So far I have not succeded to make an index in a book I am typesetting. I write something like: \starttext \defineregister[index][indices] \index[Tantrum]Tantrums can be normal for \index[tantrum][tantrum+toddlers]toddlers. Young children have them for many reasons like being tired, feeling out of control, over-stimulated, or wanting something they can't have. General hints: Toddlers and preschoolers cannot regulate themselves because they don't yet know their own limits. \completeindex \stoptext And the message I get is: "index not found/processed". In the pdf appears a page with Index but no entries.

\indenting[next] and math => no vertical space before the formula

Dear all, I have a problem with \indenting[next] combined with math formulas. Look at the example below. The space between the text above the formula and the formula is way to small. This goes away if I change next to for example yes. Btw, this happens on my TeXLive 2007 on ubuntu at home, my ConTeXt minimal from 2007-04-03 at work and on live.contextgarden.net (with pdfTeX but not LuaTeX). Do I misuse the indenting macros? Hi all, I've been using ConTeXT for quite a while now, and I am trying to build my own customized environnment. I have some trouble customizing my content table. I tried everything I could, including reading the manual twice over, and I still can't figure out why none of my ideas will work! In fact, my configuration looks like this: \setupcombinedlist[content][level=4,alternative=c] \setuplist[chapter][width=7mm,style=bold] \setuplist[section][width=10mm,margin=10mm] \setuplist[subsection] [width=13mm,style=slanted,pagestyle=normal,margin=21mm] What I would like is the number to be separated from the page name by a ".", which would give something like: 1. Chapter name................. 32 I tried \setupcombinedlist[content][level=4,alternative=c, separator={.}], but it doesn't work. Although 'separator' is documented as the separator between the number and the pagename, it appears to be the separator between the number and subnumbers, like, with separator={ppp}: 1 MyChapter ............ 1ppp1 Mysection.......... Which is not quite what I expect! So i tried setting something like \def\mycommand#1{#1.} \setupcombinedlist[content][level=4,alternative=c, numbercommand={\mycommand}] Which works, except for the fact that when there is no number (like in my frontmatter), the "." is shown anyway... So I naturally tried: \def\mycommand#1{\doifnotempty{#1}{#1.}} Which doesn't work! I still get something like . Preamble 1. ChapterOne 1.1 Section So even if no number is given, the doifnotempty block still is executed! I tried a lot of combinations, like \def\mycommand#1{\doifdefined{#1}{#1.}} or \def\mycommand#1{\doifnot{#1}{}{#1.}} But none of these will compile... Hi all... Mark IV is a greatest technology but very very difficult to install :(. The trouble is not context or metafun else luatex. There is not way humanly possible to install it in gnu/linux/x86_64! Always I have some error :(... I tried with packages (hardy heron, currently) but I have/get oldest files/executables. I tested with minimals but luatex fail, always. I downloaded 'justtex' and 'linuxtex' from 'pragma', I executed 'setup', 'ctxtools --update', 'texhash', 'luatools --generate', 'luatools --ini --compile --verbose cont-en' and there is where is the problem. Missing character in texgyreheros

Sorry for the noise, but i'm in the middle between an old context mkii (2005) and mkiv stylesheet for a greek utf-encoded file and i'm a bit confused. While using Heros font, I have: Missing character: There is no ώ (974) in font /home/usr7/tex/texmf/fonts/opentype/public/tex-gyre/texgyreheros-regular.otf! But in enco-def.tex there is \definecharacter greekomegatonos {'w} so I believe that it's possible to replace missing glyph with {'w} Maybe some switch ? I'm using \usetypescript[postscript] \setupbodyfont[postscript,10pt,ss] -- luigi it's new . it's powerful . it's luatex . http://www.luatex.org

Hallo Wolfgang, it seems to me that referenzline, subject, foldmarks, etc, are about 4mm or 5mm to big (A4 paper). The foldmark for example should be 105mm from papertop. It is 110mm from top. The horizontal offset (3.5mm) of foldmarks ist to small. A laserprinter often is not able to print 5mm or more from paperedge. So the foldmarks are invisibel. Grusz, Wolfgang

Dear Thomas and Aditya, Thank you for the reply. TEXMFLOCAL, TEXMFDIST is the order in texmf.cnf. So the order in .luatex is OK. 1. I changed '/usr/local/texlive/2007/../texmf-local' in the .luatex file to '/usr/local/texlive/texmf-local' %%%%%%% echo $TEXMF {/Users/dalyoung/.texlive2007/texmf-config,/Users/ dalyoung/.texlive2007/texmf-var,/Users/dalyoung/Library/texmf,/usr/ local/texlive/2007/texmf-config,/usr/local/texlive/2007/texmf-var,/usr/ local/texlive/2007/texmf,/usr/local/texlive/texmf-local,/usr/local/ texlive/2007/texmf-dist} %%%%%%%%%% 2. 'luatools --generate'. 3. Then it locate the files in right positions. $ luatools cont-new.tex /usr/local/texlive/texmf-local/tex/context/base/cont-new.tex And I succeeded to create the format file and a very simple test file worked very well. First post on this list... I have been using LaTeX for several large projects during the last 10 years and just recently tried to switch to ConTeXt due to the claim of easier handling of custom page layout. So far it is an enjoyable experience... I would need to customize my page headers with a custom table (like LaTeX's tabular environment) instead of just changing the text in the left and right corners. From the quick browsing I have been doing of documentation and articles at contextgarden this feature called "layers" might be what I am looking for. But before trying to grasp this feature I would like to ask any experienced ConTeXt user for the recommended approach to achieve what I am trying to do... So, to conclude: "How do I customize my page header to contain a table instead of the predefined style?" Thanks, Stefan Larsson

Dear all, With a fresh mind, I tried to install luaTeX in my Mac G5(OSX 10.5) as follows: (based on Thomas's instruction) - updating the ConTeXt - making formats - preparing some files like texlua, texluac, luatools, mtxrun. - made a environment variable in .luatex export TEXMFCACHE="/tmp" export TEXMFCNF="/usr/local/texlive/2007/texmf/web2c" export TEXMF="{/Users/dalyoung/.texlive2007/texmf-config,/Users/ dalyoung/.texlive2007/texmf-var,/Users/dalyoung/Library/texmf,/usr/ local/texlive/2007/texmf-config,/usr/local/texlive/2007/texmf-var,/usr/ local/texlive/2007/texmf,/usr/local/texlive/2007/../texmf-local,/usr/ local/texlive/2007/texmf-dist }" export LUAINPUTS="{/usr/local/texlive/texmf-local/tex/context/base,/ usr/local/texlive/texmf-local/sc ripts/context/lua,/Users/dalyoung/ texmf/scripts}" - run "source .luatex" - run "luatools --generate" it showed a long list without any error message. Hi, graphictext still doesn't work as expected. I get a correct pdf with mkiv; with mkii the '1' is totally missing. Live ConTeXt currently fails in both cases (luatex 0.25.2 there). I have even some more problems with the desired font (Arial, T1), as mkiv creates a broken pdf here (mtxrun is aborted, when calling pstoedit). Looks like a different problem, but one step after the other. I am trying to typeset a URL that has numerous “%”s in it which I am replacing with “\%”s. The problem is that while the typeset URL works, the printed URL is showing the “\%”s rather than just the “%”s. For example, \useURL [Hoyrup2007bURL] [{http://www.akira.ruc.dk/~jensh/Publications/2005\ %7BR{\percent}7D1_Folkerts_vol-1.PDF}] [] [{http://www.akira.ruc.dk/~jensh/Publications/2005\%7BR\ %7D1_Folkerts_vol-1.PDF}] produces a link that works but reads as http://www.akira.ruc.dk/~jensh/Publications/2005\ %7BR{\percent}7D1_Folkerts_vol-1.PDF I notice that “\&” behaves as it should in this context. Great, now it works! (with luatex-r1188 and context-beta) The typescript from Hans at the end of this message works fine. Some questions for my understanding: - Why 2 \starttypescript-\stoptypescript sections, and not 1? - What does "\setups[font:fallback:serif]" mean? - What is \definetypeface for? - What is the meaning of each parameter of \definetypeface? - Why does the third \starttypescript only have one parameter and no [serif]? Comments and marks in PDF

Hi All! Adobe Acrobat Reader have special feature, called 'review'. So people can leave marks or comments in PDF file and save them. But AFAIK this can only be done with PDF files generated by Adobe Acrobat Pro. Is there any way to do something similar with files generated by ConTeXt? Basically, I need to pass my work through review process and people often request to add marks directly in files the are looking at. As they are using Adobe's reader exclusively, it would be great to use it's built-in features. -- Best Regards, Oleg Kolosov

GNU Emacs - Context Command Reference

I was looking for a command reference that includes all Context commands. There are a few choices to pick from [0] (see "Find Definition"). However, since I am a big GNU Info fanboy -- I love to not leave Emacs while writing Context source etc. -- I was looking for something "faster" than fiddling around with some PDF manual respectively the on-line command reference. Now all we need is something called \Monthshort which puts the first letter in uppercase (Jan, Feb etc)!!! Thanks, Richard
