How to obtain older versions of LMTX?

Hi all, In order to circumvent a bug in the latest versions (2023-09-26 and 2024-01-08) of LMTX regarding math alignments, I am trying to get an older version of LMTX (from before September 2023) for MacOS ARM. Does any one know how to proceed? Thanks in advance. Best regards: Otared

issue with fonts in current latest (2024.01.08 11:23)

Dear list, I have the following sample: \definefontfamily[mainface][rm][TeX Gyre Pagella] \definefontfamily[coverface][rm][TeX Gyre Termes] \setupbodyfont[mainface, 16pt] \starttext \startmakeup[standard][style=\bf] \switchtobodyfont[coverface] This is a cover. \stopmakeup This is text. \stoptext Compiling the sample with current latest (2024.01.08 11:23), LMTX puts Latin Modern Roman (no bold) and MkIV puts Termes (no bold). The results with previous latest (2023.09.26 18:19), cover is in Termes bold with LMTX and in Termes regular with MkIV. I guess there might be an issue here. Could anyone confirm this? Looking for itemize help

I have \setupwhitespace [big] so that I get "a blank line" between paragraphs. I would like to *not* have "blank lines" before and after my items. For example, if there is more "paragraph text" after the last item I would like to see this structure: ------------------------------------------------------------------ Some text preceding the list of items: a. Item one. b. Second item. This sentence is part of the same paragraph. The next paragraph starts here... ------------------------------------------------------------------ and if there is no "paragraph text" after the last item, I'd like to see this structure: ------------------------------------------------------------------ Some text preceding the list of items: a. Item one. b. Second item. The next paragraph starts here... ------------------------------------------------------------------ Try as I might, I can't find the right options to give to \startitemize. The closest I have found is to start with \startitemize[a,nowhite] but that prevents the "blank line" even in the second case above, which is not what I want. Further, 'packed' and 'joinedup' seem to behave identically here, both leaving "a blank line" before the first item and after the last item. Clearly, I can force a blank line before the following paragraph with a \vskip<the right amount>, but that seems like a crude way to do it. Can someone either enlighten me on either (a) the Right ConTeXt Way to do this, or (b) a document that would tell me this, if I knew to read it? I've looked in the wiki, the not-so-short intro to ConTeXt, and "ConTeXt: an excursion" with no luck. Thanks. Jim

Wiki update

Hi all, I just updated the wiki ConTeXt to 20240108. The <context> tag on the wiki by default uses luametatex (LMTX), but if you want luatex instead (MKIV), you can still do that by using <context mode=“mkiv”>. There have been some problems recently because Hans’ new binaries needed a newer version of various system libraries. I fixed that this morning after Hraban spotted the issue, but it means that there may be wiki pages with ConTeXt processing errors in them now. These can be recognised by either the colorised “error” output, or some cryptic “copy failed” message instead of the actual output. If you see one of those pages, Edit it. For the colorised “error” output you need to make a tiny change to the example itself (because that “error” output is correct as far as the wiki software can tell, so you have to force it to regenerate). For the “copy failed” case, you just have to start an edit and then immediately save again. The wiki will autogenerate any missing examples on save. Limit of the size of the email message is 100KB.

Hi all, the ml has (as always as far as I can remember) the limit of 100KB for the maximum size of the message. I have noticed that lately several messages are over the limit, and all I can do is write to the sender and discard the message, and this could happen a couple of days later the message has been received. So...just stay within the limit, if you can. -- luigi

I would have thought that what I want to do is not so unusual that ConTeXt does not have the ability to handle it, especially in light of the indentnext=auto feature which shows that (presumably) some people want to handle the text following \stopitemize differently, depending on whether or not the following text is part of the same paragraph. Perhaps I need to go and contemplate the sins of my formatting choices... :-) Jim
