I have used figure libraries in the mkII past. But my recent attempts with mkIV, following the instructions on ConTeXt Wiki (https://wiki.contextgarden.net/Image_Database) have failed. The following happens: 1. When running the command "context --input=figure-lib.xml auto:x-res-01.mkiv --result=figure-lib" in an EMPTY directory, 2 pages with buttons and titles are created. 2. When providing an image and an xml file (copied from the website above and including the image name and the missing ">" at the end), these are ignored -- the same 2 empty pages are created. Could somebody tell me what's wrong (with me, most likely)? Details: mkiV and LMTX, MacOS and FreeBSD, recent ConTeXt installations. Beamer --> ConTeXt (sample)

Hello, recently I ha dto quickly put together few presentations for online meetings and not knowing better (aka quicker) way, I took/installed LyX on my Fedora machine. The process is not so smooth and end result is OK if we forgive ourselves that all Beamer presentations are looking almost the same. However, I'm not into diving deep into Beamer package studying/learning it more thoroughly anticipating that soon I'd have to do the same thing with some other package. :-) Otoh, ConTeXt is a different league and learning it will pay for itself in the long run. However, in order to be at least somewhat productive, I need some help so I can have some starter and not postponing learning ConTeXt ad infinitum, so I'm attaching small Beamer sample and wonder if someone can help by providing somewhat similar thing for ConText? (no need for all the graphic - I'm more concerned with proper overlays and having content in more than single column). Lua equivalent of \getvariable{}{}

\setregisterentry levels with colon (keys:1, entries:1) in lua

One can can set register levels with keys and entries \setregisterentry[MyIndex] [keys:1=Sorting Key Level 1, entries:1=Entry Level 1, keys:2=Sorting Key Level 2, entries:2=Entry Level 2] Rewriting the code in lua works until colon (:) is used. \startluacode context.setregisterentry({ "MyIndex" }, { keys:1="C Level 1", entries:1="C Level 2"}) \stopluacode which stops with error: <name> expected near '1' Can the colon be escaped or underlying \xdef\currentregisterkeysa{\registerparameter{\c!keys:1}}% \xdef\currentregisterkeysb{\registerparameter{\c!keys:2}}% \xdef\currentregisterkeysc{\registerparameter{\c!keys:3}}% redefined? \doifelse not working, \doiftextelse breaking

I’m surprised that \doiftextelse breaks when \startswidth if inside. How could i make \startswith work inside \doiftext?
