help with xtreme tables

Hi, I have a table with around 120 rows and 120 columns which fits an A0 paper. I want it to be split so that it fits A4 sized papers. When I tried using xtables : \startxtable[split=repeat,header=repeat] \startxtablehead ... \stopxtablehead \startxtablebody .... . . . .... \stopxtablebody the table rows get split into different pages, but the columns get cut at the right edge of the page. Is there a way to split the columns as well (repeating the first column as necessary)? Also, what is the use of grouping rows within \startxtablenext and \stopxtablenext? Note: I am just typing the outline of the code as the cell definitions is very long and hopefully my requirement is clear without the entire cell definitions. Thanks, ajith

setup parameter problem

The code below seems ok in \startsection[title=] but not when I program the parameter collection with \def\setupparameters{\getparameters[prefix]} In that case even [title={enclosed value}] crashes with error message: Use of \doMacro doesn't match its definition. Obviously I am missing something here. What? \def\Macro{\dosingleargument\doMacro} \def\doMacro[#1]#2{#1X#2} The code below shows that it should be possible. \startsection[title=\Macro{arg} no braces needed]\stopsection \startsection[title={\Macro[arg1]{arg2} enclosed in braces}]\stopsection \stoptext dr. where to break a long header

I had an unsually long header and it didn't look great: https://ellen.idiomdrottning.org/sateotc1.png A crlf fixes it: https://ellen.idiomdrottning.org/sateotc2.png But then that shows up in the table of contents so that's not a good solution. What is the best practice for this situation?

Hyphenation again

Hi, another weird thing: In this example I use \startexceptions to set hyphenation exceptions: ``` \mainlanguage[en] \startexceptions[en] appli-cable obli-gated \stopexceptions \setuplayout[width=1cm] \starttext \currentmainlanguage \currentlanguage \hyphenatedword{applicable} applicable \hyphenatedword{obligated} obligated \stoptext ``` What am I missing? Converting footnotes to endnotes

Dear gang, Generally, I do not use endnotes - see Robert Bringhurst's criticisms of endnotes in typography - but a publisher is demanding them. issue with link (MkIV & LMTX)

Dear list, I have the following sample: \setuppapersize[A10] \setupinteraction[state=start] \enabledirectives[references.border] \unexpanded\def\MyURL#1% {\bgroup\goto{{\tt\hyphenatedurl{#1}}}[url(#1)]\egroup} \starttext \startTEXpage[offset=1ex] \startitemize \item \MyURL{a.b\\/c.d\letterhash e} \stopitemize \stopTEXpage \stoptext I’m using current latest from 2021.06.04 17:28. LuaTeX generates the link rectangle right. LuaMetaTeX generates a wrong link rectangle. In the attached image, you can see the output I get (MkIV and LMTX). Could anyone confirm the issue? quotes potruding out in the left margin

Hi♥ How do I get the quotes to potrude out in the left margin? For example in the following text, I want the "y" in "you are so" to be aligned with the "oh" in "oh hi there" and the "here" in "here here". \definefontfeature [default] [default] [protrusion=quality,expansion=quality] \setupalign[hz,hanging] \starttext oh hi there "you are so" here here \stoptext Also in the real text I'll also be using \definefontfamily [praise][serif][junicode] but, the above min via behavior I couldn't get to work at live.contextgarden

yscale not working

Why is there no effect of the yscale parameter in \externalfigure when the width-parameter is given? In the MWE it is the intention to stretch the height of the figure by a factor of two. But nothing happens. different prefixsegments for \in

Dear list, I have the following sample: \setupreferencestructureprefix [default] [prefixsegments=*:*] \starttext \section{One Section} \subsection[sec0]{Subsection} As told in \in[sec0] and \in[sec1]… \section{Another Section} \subsection[sec1]{Subsection} … \stoptext The output reads: As told in 1.1 and 2.1… I would like to be able to supress the section number in the reference, if the current section is the same as the referenced one. I mean, I would like that the output reads: As told in 1 and 2.1… Which would be the way to do it automatically? BTW, in my real--world document, I need to remove part and chapter numbers from the reference when in the same part and chapter (when compiling XML sources).
