Strange character output when mixing different fonts

hi, When I mix the four fonts below, only the serif (mincho) outputs my characters correctly. However, if I only use any of these fonts for output, I will get normal characters. It's not clear to me if this is a bug with the font itself or what. If it's an issue with the fonts themselves, I'll report the bug to the designers of those fonts. Issue loading an otf variable font

Hi, I was experimenting with variable fonts in ConTeXt. While all seems to work well when using a ttf font (like Recursive_VF_1.085.ttf), I am struggling to use .otf ones, like the Source Code Pro (downloaded from https://github.com/adobe-fonts/source-code-pro/releases/tag/2.042R-u%2F1.06… ). can’t make a format with LMTX (Docker/linuxmusl)

Hi, I tried to install LMTX/linuxmusl in a Docker container, installation seems to work ("context --version" looks good), but making the format fails with some Lua errors, e.g. loading > ConTeXt Token support / helpers … toks-aux.lmt:273: … operation on a nil value (field 'glyph') I don’t know if that’s musl or Docker related, I’ve no clue about these. Should I provide a full log? Hraban

understanding \writetolist and \writebetweenlist

Hi, I’m trying to understand the ordering of list entries and find it really hard. Below is the content of "inbetween-01.tex" from the test suite, more or less the same was in https://wiki.contextgarden.ne/Command/writebetweenlist; I tried to enhance it but probably messed it up. Looking at the examples, I only partly understand what’s going on. * What’s the difference of \writetolist and \writebetweenlist WRT their connection to the place where they occur? This seems to be important. (\writetolist has a section number, \writebetweenlist hasn’t …) * What’s the difference between location="here", "none" or nothing with \writetolist? * In my notes, I found the remark that "between" items should be anchored to a paragraph (not being their own par) to avoid inserting whitespace. * The order of \placelist can be normal, command, all or title. The latter isn’t mentioned in the file below, but in the interface. I don’t understand the effect for "normal" or "all" in the example. - normal: there’s some reordering. - command: "only the commands": does this mean, sort the "between" entries by macro name or how? - all: everything in the order of occurrence (that’s clear) - title: sorted by title; how does this affect "between" entries? When pushing something inbetween (in mkiv) it ends up directly in the list. The \type {command} option only pushes commands into the right order, and \type {all} orders all entries (which might be too much). Possible to "freeze" numbering when using stacking

Hi, I use stacking to incrementally reveal text in slides. Is it possible to freeze numbering when using stacking? Consider the following example: \setuppapersize[S4] \starttext \startstackingsteps[1,{1:2}] \placeformula \startformula A = B \stopformula \startstacking[2] This is an important formula \stopstacking \stopstackingsteps \stoptext Currently, the formula number is incremented on the second page. Including SVG manipulating color or rewrite in MP

Dear all, I have near to zero knowledge about MPgraphics, so I always use SVG files from various sources. Now I want to change the stroke color in the svg.
