How to get the characters in the attached pdf file using ConTeXt

Dear all, I could get the proper characters using LaTeX with the preamble: \usepackage{palatino} \usepackage[T1]{fontenc} \usepackage[applemac]{inputenc} The result can be seen below. But I would like to achieve this in ConTeXt (not necessarily with Palatino). Can anyone give me advice on the setup commands needed. I have tried various ways but nothing has worked so far. My ConTeXt input file looks like this without any of the setups that I had been trying. I am using Gerben's installation on a Mac G4 OS 10.2.6. Also what command do I need to use mac inputencoding in ConTeXt. I think I saw it mentioned on one of the manuals but I cannot find it again. bodymatter and alternative=doublesided, XML documentation

Hi, I have the following problem: Using \setuppagenumbering[location={footer,right}] \startbodymatter \chapter{Hi} \stopbodymatter I always get 3 pages, but I want to have two: The recto with "Hi" and its verso, I don't want to have an extra recto! Is there a nice way to setup frontmatter to use roman numerals and bodymatter "arabic" numerals starting from 1? I know I can use \setupsectionblock[][before=\bgroup\setup...] but is there something nicer? A part of that document should be in XML, is there any documentation for the ContML available by now? Or about the XML namespacing etc. support, which is not mentioned in "XML in ConTeXT"? Tobias

Marginal notes in two-column setup

Sorry for another newbie question (I am trying to learn ConTeXt and cannot always find what I want in the manual which I have permanently open) I would like to do the following: Have a two column text with the marginal notes from the left column appear on the left and the ones from the right column on the right. When I use 2-columns and I use \inmargin, I get them on the right where the marginal notes from the left column are on top of the right column (not good) Is there a way to do this? Probably yes with something \if-like? G

\setuparranging question

How can I get the following arrangement: 2 A5 pages printed on one landscape A4 page Order: -1 0 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 or in other words, no order which makes it ready for cutting/folding but just two A5 pages per A4 landscape in normal order, the way you would get it when you copy a book on A4 landscape. (Even better would be to have alternate A4 printed pages upside down so you can print doublesided and then bind it so you can flip the document without having to turn the printout.) Thanks, G

Combining \inframed with \items

I have the following test file: -- \setupoutput[pdftex]\setupcolor[rgb]\starttext \items[symbol=none,location=top]{{\inframed[frame=on,corner=round,radius=3mm ,offset=1mm]{demand-pull inflation}},{\inframed[frame=on,corner=round,radius=3mm,offset=1mm]{in comparison}},capital-intensive} \items[symbol=none,location=top]{fixed assets,entrepreneurs,as a result,implementation} \items[symbol=none,location=top]{situation,monetary,system,arbitrage,stable} \stoptext -- The idea is to have certain of the items in the lists highlighted with a frame. Although I don't get an error in the log, the output I get is broken. I have attached the tiny pdf file. Can this be made to work somehow? figures in columns

Hello, After changing from one to two columns, the figures of my document are set to "undefined" by ConText. before : <one column> \placefigure [force] [fig:TC4936.pdf] {Moquettes nappées}{\externalfigure[TC4936.pdf][width=.7\textwidth]} after : ... \setupcolumns [n=2,tolerance=tolerant, distance=6mm, balance=yes] ... \startcolumns ... \placefigure [force] [fig:TC4936.pdf] {Moquettes nappées}{\externalfigure[TC4936.pdf][width=.7\columnwidth]} Is there is a special mecanism for placing figures in colums ? Index with Bibliography

Dear ConTeXt experts, I'm trying to insert the Bibliography (using m-bib) in the table of contents in this way: \setupheadtext[it][pubs=\chapter{Bibliografia}] put in the preamble (with \chapter{}ConTeXt shows the number of the chapter near the title and I need this feature). It works well on the index page but on the Bibliography page this trick makes the title two o more lines under the normal height of the other chapters. Any suggestion to bring the title "Bibliography" at the correct height? Is there another way to make the same (or better) thing? -- Best regards, Elis
