m-bibtex: cite numberation problems

Hi, I want to cite: [1], [2]. Using \setuppublications[numbering=yes,refcommand=number] I get [1], [3] in the text and 1, 2 in the "References" list. Has anyone seen a problem like this? Tobias PS: While clicking on the items in the Reference list jumps to the refering page, the opposite is not possible.

extra page when using alternative=doublesided and bodymatter

Hello all, (repost) I have the following problem: Using \setuppagenumbering[location={footer,right}] \startbodymatter \chapter{Hi} \stopbodymatter I always get 3 pages, but I want to have two: The recto with "Hi" and its verso, I don't want to have an extra recto! Tobias

Hello Patrick, Yes it is also happening to other TeX files as well. I used a simple file (named testfile.tex in drive C) with three lines: \starttext Hello world \stoptext If I texexec'ed it in its directory with the command texexec testfile I obtained the following error with \dosetupsystem. See attachment for the log file. However if I change drive to say F, and type texexec testfile the command was successful with testfile.dvi created. Problem with \dosetupsystem

Hi all, I am new to ConTeXt, and am learning to use it with the version in the fpTeX 0.6 distribution. On the office PC, I have no problem with using texexec for trying out various small context files. But on the home PC, use of texexec on the file trymeta.tex with the command-line texexec trymeta always leads to a halt in \dosetupsystem with the following error message: .................................... system : trymeta.top loaded (./trymeta.top) Runaway argument? \c!gebied ={\setupsystem [inputfile=trymeta.tex] \protect ! File ended while scanning use of \dosetupsystem. <inserted text> \par <to be read again> \relax \dodoreadfile ...normalinput \readfilename \relax \the \everyafterreadfile <everyjob> ...file \openutilities \loadoptionfile \checknotes \initializeMPg... l.1 \starttext ? ================================================================================== But the strange thing is if I execute the command in with another drive as the current drive, and preceed the filename trymeta with the correct drive letter, it will work to completion. For example, if the tyrmeta.tex is on drive C, and I change drive to drive D (using the command d:), and type texexec c:\trymeta the command will complete with the production of the dvi file. Arabic support for ConTeXt

Hi gang, A few of you have written to me about Arabic support for ConTeXt as well as modifying EDMAC to use RL support in Omega. It is my intention to provide some info/how-to on this in the next couple of weeks, as soon as I finish some research. In the meantime, I suggest anyone interested in this to get their hands on e-Omega 1.15 (Omega + eTeX functionality). This is the version the how-to will be based upon. It is available for fpTeX and MiKTeX; I'm not sure when a version will be available for teTeX, though Thomas Esser may cooperate with anyone willing to provide a separate patch. Best wishes Idris

How to get the characters in the attached pdf file using ConTeXt

Dear all, I have sent this email already but a return message said that it was too large and would be posted at the discretion of the administrator. So I have made a sample file using only one word from the original .pdf file in the hope that it would be small enough. Apologies if I have broken protocol. I could get the proper characters as seen in the attached sample file using LaTeX with the preamble: \usepackage{palatino} \usepackage[T1]{fontenc} \usepackage[applemac]{inputenc} The result can be seen below. But I would like to achieve this in ConTeXt (not necessarily with Palatino). Can anyone give me advice on the setup commands needed. I have tried various ways but nothing has worked so far. My ConTeXt input file looks like this without any of the setups that I had been trying. I am using Gerben's installation on a Mac G4 OS 10.2.6. Also what command do I need in order to use mac inputencoding in ConTeXt? I think I saw it mentioned in one of the manuals but I cannot find it again. Of course for the \dh and \k in LaTeX I could not use Mac inputencoding. Singular--Plural

All, Consider: \definefloat[...][...] [...] <singular> [...] <plural> What is the basic philosopy behind this singular-plural thingy? For example, if I define a float by \definefloat[tax][taxes], what happens? What becomes available to me? Can anyone answer this within the context of the general philosophy of this singular--plural pair that appears in so many Context commands?

Indent-region

All, I've found Berend's context.el and Patrick's etexshow.el and they look promising. Does anyone know about smart indenting? For example, I entered: \startitemize[n] \item Real Estate Tax The real estate tax is divided into two components. \startitemize[a,packed] \item The ownership tax \item The tenant tax \stopitemize If the real estate has no tenants, then the owner pays both components. \item dog license fee The owner of one or more dogs pays a fee.
