randomize a color

The following produces one red square and two black ones, as opposed to one red and two randomly perturbed but also red ones I was hoping for. To my poor understanding this usage seems to comply with that defined in mp-tool.mp. What am I doing wrong. problems with uppercase Greek letters in math

Hello, The uppercase Greek letters in the following example don't work since the letters are taken from ec encoding, while the default TeX encoding is assumed in the definitions of Phi, Psi, ... ("mr", math roman font) Any suggestions how to fix this strange behaviour? \setupfootnotes[split=?] query

Currently I have \setupfootnotes[split=verystrict] and I am still getting one footnote call that occurs on the last line of page n where the note itself appears on page n+1. Is there a way to prevent this by assigning split= a number? If so, what numerical value will work? Or is there another setting? Thanks for any help. Cheers, Alan

enattab example

Hello, I tried the first example from the natrural tables pdf (enattab.pdf), and my output looks very compressed. Same on live.contextgarden.net. Is this the way it should look like? typbuffer with commands

Hello again, I know I can use \starttyping with commands by saying \setuptyping[option=commands] and then /BTEX \red{a red text}}/ETEX. Can I do the same for \typebuffer[mybuf]? So for example: \startbuffer[a] verbatim text /BTEX \red{a red text}}/ETEX verbatim text \stopbuffer \typebuffer[a][please_use_my_commands] ?? Unexpected behaviour of setuptyping

Conisder \setupcolors[state=start] \setuptyping[option=anything] %Any value that is not a valid option % none, color, normal, commands, slanted \starttext \startbuffer $\sum_{i=1}^n \frac{1}{2} n \cdot (n+1)$ \stopbuffer \typebuffer \stoptext The text is typed in color. I gave an invalid option and expected it to have no effect, but was pleasantly surprised that it gives color output. There is nothing in the definition of \setupcommonverbatim in core-ver.tex to suggest such a behaviour. Is this a bug or a feature? Natural tables, rulethickness

Hello, I have a (natural) table and I'd like to have three rules in that table. The toprule and the bottomrule should be .08em thick, the midrule 0.05em. What would be a way to achieve that? New bib beta (release candidate)

Hi all, I have finally uploaded a new beta for the bib module. I really hope this is the last one before a normal release in a week or two. http://tex.aanhet.net/bib/m-bib-beta-20060205.zip I do not intend to do any more work on the still open limitations/ wishlist at this time, because synchronisation with the standard context distibution is becoming an issue. Only the documentation still needs to be fixed, and of course any fatal bugs that may be in this beta. Compared to the november 23 beta, the following things have changed (many thanks to the people who pointed out bugs and submitted fixes): * Make right-aligned labels work even if autohang=no * Use 'et al.' instead of 'et.al.'. * Additional headtext for cz * Keep whitespace after \cite with single argument * Fix broken \cite-with-braced-argument * Fix \usepublications not finding it's files * Fix compressed version of authoryear style !!* Renamed the \url and \type to \biburl and \bibtype Most of those are only fixes and should not bother you, but watch out for that last one, it breaks compatibility. I really had to do this, because \url and \type clashed heavily with predefined context commands, but it invalidates some existent bbl files, sorry. Cheers, Taco

use color in XeTeX+ConTeXt

Dear all, In ConTeXt, the following example was shown in colors. \setupcolors[state=start] \starttext The use of color in \TeX is not {\red easy}. {\blue What color is it?} \stoptext but, the same text after defining new typescript and saved for XeTeX +ConTeXt, the colors were gone. It is possible to change color using following method: \special{color push} \special{color rgb 0.0 0.5 0.8} sample text \special{color pop} However, is there a simpler way to use color in XeTeX+ConTeXt as in ConTeXt?
