hi there, the following is a minimal example of the layout i am working on. -----------------------%<------------------------- % output=pdftex \enableregime[latin2] \setuppapersize [A5][A5] \defineparagraphs [poem][n=2] \setupparagraphs [poem][1][width=.35\textwidth] \setupparagraphs [poem][2][rule=on] \starttext \startpoem \section{poem} \poem\startlines line 1 line 2 \page line 3 line 4 \stoplines\stoppoem \stoptext -----------------------%<------------------------- when the poem gets long, i need to start a new page obviously. but page is not working. what am i missing here? also, using \page is one thing, good for me, so i could tell, flush the page right here, but i thought i'll get an automatic pagebreak when the text gets to the bottom.... sorry if this is a very silly question, just getting my feet wet with context.... thanks -f -- bungee diving - living it up when you're going down!

bib module/XML

Hello, I have a couple of questions concerning the bib module, which I'm using in conjunction with XML document code. In my header I say: \usemodule[bib] \setupbibtex[database={../Bibliography/bibliography.bib}] 1) \completepublications problem in the xml I say: <cite id="storz:02" key="authoryears"/> and use \defineXMLargument [cite] {\cite[\XMLpar{cite}{key}{}][\XMLpar{cite}{id}{}]} in my mappings. This works ok, however, I also have the following definition included: \defineXMLenvironment [chapter] { \defineXMLargument [title] {\chapter} \defineXMLprocess [content] {} } {\section{References}\placepublications} so that a xml chapter definiton like this: <chapter> <title> Example </title> <content> <cite id="bibtexkey1" key="authoryears"/> <cite id="bibtexkey2" key="authoryears"/> </content> </chapter> will be read out properly and I get a chapter specific publication list at the end of each chapter. This does not work. I will get a Reference List, but it contains the second entry twice and its second copy is indented in relation to the first ... Any Idea on how to remedy this? 2) I'm a biologist and author/year citation is usus where I work. The options 'authoryear' ('Hoekwater (2006)') and 'authoryears' ('(Hoekwater, 2006)') are great, but I would also want to have the option to prepend the latter with something like 'e.g.' ('(see e.g. Hoekwater, 2006)'). I understand this is possible to the right of the actual citation with 'extras', but how difficult would it be to do that on the left? Thanks for any help, Joh

hi there, what is the rationale behind the "Creator" pdf field context sets? for radnoti.tex i get: Creator: ConTeXt/user/radnoti.tex -f -- you can never get rid of a bad temper by losing it.

descriptions

On page 180 of the manual, ConTeXt lists many kinds of descriptions. Like one that indents the body of the definition. It is extremely frustrating to me that it doesn't say how to do it and I can't figure it out. Any ideas? - Jeffrey

Substack in Context

Hi, What is the context equivalent of latex's substack? How do I type the following $$ \sum_{\substack i \in P \\ j \in Q} a_{ij} $$ I search on source browser shows that this command was defined in newmat but pruned out. Is there a replacement for it? Is it safe to simply copy the definitions from m-newmat.tex and use them in my project? Frontmatter setup

Hello, Is there a \setup... command to configure the frontmatter section block? I haven't found a clear information about this. I would like to set the page numbers to roman, but I would like to do this at an early setup stage, and not within the frontmatter with \setuplinenumbering. Is it possible? Thanks, BG

Minimal distribution linux-64

Hello, I installed the minimal distribution cont-bas.zip justtex.zip linux64tex.zip then I unzipped the files to get the directory structure outlined in README (by the way, why cont-bas.zip hasn't got tex as the top directory?). Then I did: cd /tex . setuptex mktexlsr texexec --make and got ! pdfetex.pool doesn't match; tangle me again (or fix the path). Piotr

intertext for aligned equations

Hi, I was looking at trying to implement something similar to amsmath's intertext command. However, \intertext defined in amsmath.sty seems to be doing a lot more (I just can't figure out what it is doing?) definelogo alignments

Experimenting with the logo features as suggested by Henning Hraban Ramm I discovered that I can say: \definelogo[Pagina][text][left][command={\framed{\blackrule}}, state=start] or \definelogo[Pagina][text][middle][command={\framed{\blackrule}}, state=start] or \definelogo[Pagina][text][right][command={\framed{\blackrule}}, state=start] with the second key making the control of the alignment of the framed material. How is possible to control the alignment if instead of [text] I use [rightmargin] ? I tried \definelogo[Pagina][rightmargin][left][command={\framed{\blackrule}}, state=start] and \definelogo[Pagina][rightmargin][middle][command={\framed{\blackrule}}, state=start] to no avail.
