Hi all, For the pdf file which is generated frome the following example, two Chinese characters can not be copied rightly when I use simsun.ttc font and use *Adobe Reader* to view it. The copy text is displayed as the wrong unicode text such as "􁨀". However these glyphs can be copied rightly if I use AdobeSongStd.otf font or I use other pdf reader such as evince. \definefont[song][file:simsun] \starttext \song 描 $\overline{q}$ 提 \stoptext The attachment for this mail is that pdf file with simsun.ttc font which can be downloaded from http://code.google.com/p/way2ctx/downloads/list This situation is not general. Placing boxes anywhere on the page

Is there a way to place a box at some specified x and y position on the page, and then typeset one or more paragraphs of text into the box? I guess I'm thinking of something like LaTeX's minipage, but with the ability to specify absolute coordinates, rather than just position relative to the current baseline. Thank you, -pd

Hans, after reading "Updating to Beta Builds of ConTeXt / LuaTeX from tlcontrib breaks MacTeX" and http://tex.stackexchange.com/questions/5405/switching-to-context-minimals-m… I have realized that there is almost a sigle file under ConTeXt documentation in TeX Live: /usr/local/texlive/2010/texmf-dist/doc/context/document/general/manuals/tiptrick.pdf And that single file contains outdated information about how to update and how to generate formats. It might make sense to change at least that single file with completely misleading information to something that would make at least some sense. Mojca

definition and separation of colors

I stumpled upon a ambiguous color definition in my automatically generated documents: \definecolor[Custom][c=0,m=1,y=0,k=0,r=0,g=0,b=0,] I.e. the color is defined in CMYK mode as 100% magenta and in RGB as 0/0/0 black. In the PDF the color is shown as black, according to Acrobat's preflight defined as RGB 0/0/0; CMYK separation depends on the profile, e.g.: Generic CMYK: 76/71/65/81 ISO Coated FOGRA27: 86/85/79/100 Euroscale Coated: 95/83/82/90 (I didn't expect the Euroscale Coated profiles to differ that much!) If I say \setupcolors[rgb=no], I get CMYK 100/100/100/0. This is not a good separation algorithm - GCR or UCR would be nice, but at least RGB 0/0/0 should render as CMYK 0/0/0/100. (Perhaps you could include something like littleCMS in LuaTeX and even deal with images?) It doesn't change if I define in different order, like \definecolor[Custom][r=0,g=0,b=0,c=0,m=1,y=0,k=0,] I get magenta only if I leave out the RGB values. It seems that in ConTeXt the RGB definition always takes precedence? Is this intended? Greetlings from Lake Constance! Hello, is it possible to \setuptyping in the manner that long lines won't be broken? Hello, I'd need to start numbering chapters from number 3. (The previous chapters 1 and 2 were prepared otherwise, I'm to continue.) Name: Alan Caruanambo Muñoz City: Cajamarca - Peru Hello: ConText was using for a while, then stop, now that I've tried to reuse write my thesis is that I can not compile successfully though and followed all the steps in http://wiki.contextgarden.net/Windows_Installation I remember down mswincontext.zip aver pragma-ade in which compiled more easily, also wanted to know what the most recent version of ConTeXt MKIV because they lose http://minimals.contextgarden.net/pragma/ is the year 2008, and the installer ContextMinimalInstall.exe fails. My OS is Windows xp I wish my thesis has typography MKIV manual, please I would like to know what are the sources used in this. PD: Sorry if you can not really understand the message, what happens is I do not speak English.
