All, I've begun summarizing the bibliography problems. Could you all see if your particular problem is mentioned here? If I missed something, please send your test files to the list or to me, please use the sample.bib which is now included in the minimals, and please make the test cases as short as possible. Hans and Taco, one general remark: one thing that is confusing is that the key/value pair "criterium=XXX" is present for the \setuppublications and for the \setuppublicationlist and for the \placepublications command, yet seems to do slightly different things in each. Maybe that's a place where the interface should be changed? Here's what I have so far: % Example 1, posted in a slightly different form by "Curiouslearn" on % 2010-11-25: Hagen 2010c is not quoted and should not be in the list of % references. On 2010-11-26, Mathieu Boespflug made a further observation on % the original testfile which I can't reproduce because it's too complex. TABLE help

Wolfgang, In MKIV using TABLE: All seems to work well enough UNTIL I use \placetable. I have enormous table that run pages in length. I need them split0 repeat and that works fine until I add: \placetable[here][tab:five]{Descriptive Statistics for Salaried Men \& Women} { . . . . . . . . . } I lose ALL page breaks and the table dissappears off the bottom of the page. LOST no breaks. Think you could help? barney

Hello all, I'd to explain some effects in the .pdf from the code bellow. Why? How to make it appear? - - The same effect may be observed in the co-fonts.pdf at the pg. 19 at the lowest line - there is bold font working, but "alpha" is missing as well. - - - Unfortunately, there is no fully working example in the document with bold math and "alpha" together. - In my example, normal (thin) "Abc" is shown a bit slanted (as should be in math mode). Once it is used in bold math mode, it's no more slanted but "vertical" as normal text. Is there a way how to keep the "slantedness" even in math bold mode? (This is e.g. often used to mark vectors.) Redefine symbols for new command \morse{.-..}

i'd like to define a new command \define[]\short{\dontleavehmode \blackrule[width=0.4em]\ } \define[]\long {\dontleavehmode \blackrule[width=1.4em]\ } \define[1] \morse {MAGIC} \morse{.-..} should create a \short for every '.' and \long for every '-' But this transcription should be only active in the "morse environment" Is that possible? equation numbering: subfurmulas

I took the following document as a source: http://wiki.contextgarden.net/images/b/b4/Mathalign.pdf (Btw: Aditya, why isn't the latest version also on http://dl.contextgarden.net/myway/mathalign.pdf?) Section 4.2 says one thing and does the other ... I want to have my equations numbered as a_1 = (1,0,0) (1a) a_2 = (0,1,0) (1b) a_3 = (0,0,1) (1c) and then reference them as equation (1). The example from Aditya's document says the following: \placesubformula \startformula \startalign \NC a_1 x + b_1 y \NC = c_1 \NR[+][a] \NC a_2 x + b_2 y \NC = c_2 \NR[+][b] \stopalign \stopformula But if I try that in MKII, I get (0a) and (0b), while if I try that in MKIV, I get (1) and (2). How do I get (1a) and (1b) with both MKII and MKIV? Mojca (I'm asking about MKII since I have a completely different problem with every new MKIV version released and I really need to finish that document even if MKIV crashes or a nuclear war starts ... :) :) :)

In my case separate sections would be needed for Manuscript Sources and Early printed versions, where the data concern mostly Libraries or Museums and things like catalogue numbers and shelf marks, and for Music (with Composer instead of Author and the possibility to indicate the whereabouts of manuscripts or early prints, and/or the name of the copyist). facing-page translation

All, More naive questions about xml and context. I'm finding this slow going and documentation opaque, or just thin on the ground. Posting as a separate question: I've trawled through the documentation for help in typesetting TEI marked-up documents as facing-page translations. What little I've found there that I can understand is not encouraging. Does anyone know of examples of XML -> ConTeXt -> PDF that could give me a clue as to how this might be done? thanks, jon
