Small capitals broken in latest beta?

Hello, could it be that in the latest beta (ConTeXt ver: 2011.03.30 11:21 MKIV) the font feature 'small capitals' is broken? Can someone who has Minion Pro test this, please? I'm using \usemodule[simplefonts] \definefontfeature[smcp][default][smcp=yes] \def\sc{\addff{smcp}} \definefontfeature[allc][default][smcp=yes,c2sc=yes] \def\allc{\addff{allc}} \setmainfont[Minion Pro][expansion=quality, protrusion=quality] \starttext {\sc Test} {\allc Test} \stoptext No small capitals :(

Side effect of virtual fonts

I made two copies of luatex-fonts-demo-vf-1.lua named vf-a.lua and vf-b.lua (The original file can be found in \context-minimals\context\tex\texmf-context\tex\generic\context). In both copies I changed the three fonts the virtual font uses as basis to "Arial". In vf-b.lua I added after the for-loop which manipulates the caracters this code: f1.characters[98].width=3000000 f2.characters[98].width=3000000 f3.characters[98].width=3000000 f1.characters[97]= nil f2.characters[97]= nil f3.characters[97]= nil It has the expected effect when I use vf-b: It enlarges the width of the "b" and removes the "a" from the font. But it not only affect the vf-b-font, it also affects vf-a: If I load vf-a *after* vf-b, it also loose the "a" and the width of "b" is changed. In a older version of context, where the lua used "fonts.tfm.readanddefine" instead of the new "fonts.constructors.readanddefine" I got an side effect too, but only on the "a". My questions are 1. Why do I get the side effect only when f1, f2 and f3 call the same font? Chance (because of the math random) or something else? 2. How can I make a virtual lua-font which is free of such side effects? 3. I got errors when I tried to use the old version of the virtual font with the newest context. Is "fonts.tfm.readanddefine" now deprecated? -- Ulrike Fischer

fontsize calculation broken

Since about last week's beta I get an "Illegal unit of measure" error (pointing to a completely different place) with this line: \definedfont[SansBold at 1.5\fontsize] I just want to adapt the local font size relative to the current setting. simpleslides/metapost bug ?

Hello everybody. Can you please confirm that following code fails: \usemodule[simpleslides] \starttext \IncludePicture[horizontal][cow][highlight=yes, alternative=circle, x=1, y=1, xscale=1, yscale=1, shadow=bottomleft]{hello} \stoptext And this does not: \usemodule[simpleslides] \starttext \IncludePicture[horizontal][cow][highlight=no, alternative=circle, x=1, y=1, xscale=1, yscale=1, shadow=bottomleft]{hello} \stoptext It seems like something goes wrong when circle is made. Position of MetaPost graphics

Dear list, I'm trying to make some fancy chapter headers. With MetaPost I drew a wave, which I'd like to place in the margin. I've read details.pdf and metafun.pdf, but I don't manage to get the positioning right. The wave should begin where the bottomframe ends and move on to the page border. wikimedia2context: any existing solutions?

Hello, Before I start reinvinting the wheel ... I have a feeling that some people were already doing some basic wikimedia2context syntax conversion. I would like to create PDF out of some wiki pages with very limited number of used commands. I have created a simple ruby script that fetches all the contents that I want in the final PDF, all that is left to be done is conversion from wiki to tex syntax: - replace =...= with \section{...}, ==...== with \subsection{...}, ===...=== with \subsubsection{...}, ... - replace ''...'' with {\bf ...}, '''...''' with {\it ...}, '''''...''''' with {\bi ...} - all lines starting with a space should be printed verbatim - lines starting with * should be bulleted itemize - lines starting with # should be numbered itemize - some trivial replacements like > - some links: [[abc def]] should become symlinks to begining of sections with that title - [[Image:chap1-f2.jpg|frame|Figure 1.2: Cylindrical scanner]] should become \placefigure{Cylindrical scanner}{\externalfigure[chap1-f2.jpg]} - a few tables Maybe there is more, but I think that this covers the majority of contents. The solution doesn't have to be too robust and I don't care what language it is written in (I just need a printed manual and I have no problem manually tweaking the pitfals after the conversion if needed). I can start writing regular expressions, but in case that somebody has an almost-ready-to-use solution, that would be much better than doing everything from scratch. (A Lua function that would simply read in a plain wiki file would be nice, but I have never tried to gain deep understanding of "parsing" in lua.) Thanks a lot, Mojca

something's wrong with arranging

Hi all, something doesn't work with arranging pages in the latest beta. Minimal example: \setuppapersize[A6][A4] \setuparranging[2*4] \starttext \dorecurse{24}{\input tufte \page} \stoptext Only the first two sheets are properly arranged.
