How to do coloured heads

Hello, I am new to all of this. First of all, thank you to everyone involved for such an awesome software package. I have been looking for something like this for a while for technical documentation for software projects and had no idea this even existed until... well, yesterday. So, I spent most of the day playing with it. However, I have not managed to work out how to get coloured heads. I am trying to have my section heads in darkgray. So I tried \setuphead[section][style=\tfb\ss\color[darkgray]] which results in a processing error and \setuphead[section][style=\tfb\ss{\color[darkgray]}] which seems to process, but does just not do anything (I did not actually expect that last one to work, but I got a bit desperate). While the manual is well written and certain well laid out, it does not quite work for me as a reference guide in that it does not seem to be complete. So a little help would be much appreciated. Math align in mkiv

Hi Aditya, Hi Hans, It seems that recently the align environment in mkiv has changed and I get several strange results now. Is there a way to get the same result in mkiv by changing some parameters? (I have movede litlle by little to maths in mkiv and I would like to fix somehow the apparently incorrect behaviour of mkiv…). Hi, is it possible to "enhance" the \index command in order to be more tolerant with wrong set spaces? For example ... This is a test \index{Test} text. ... this would give (legitimately) double spaces between "test" and "text". [This would help to finish original latex documents, for in latex authors can type that way] Steffen

itemize option

Migrating from prosper to simpleslides in creating presentations

Hello, I am trying to put aside doing my presentations using prosper, and migrating to using ConTeXt+simpleslides. I ask this knowing full well that many would consider these features as simply adding visual noise to presentations, and normally I too eschew them, but as I am reading Jean-Luc Doumont's book on effective communications I am reminded that the primary purpose of presentations is to affect change in the audience. I am to give a presentation in a few days to a group of designers/interior decorators, and for this audience presentations using these features are both appropriate and often expected. I am looking for the equivalent of transition effects in the prosper class---the simple Wipe transition would suffice; no need for Glitter ;). The other feature that I would like is the incremental displaying of a slide, i.e., the \overlays feature. captions for figures -> none -> no longer working

Morning all, It seems the parameter {none} is no longer effective in \placefigure: From the wiki: "You get no caption with none." On at least: ConTeXt ver: 2011.11.29 23:11 MKIV fmt: 2011.12.1, this appears **not** to be the case... Anyone else - or is there some change not yet documented on the wiki. Passing TeX parameters to the lua functions

Hello ConTeXist. Sorry for the beginner question, more for Lua(TeX) experts. Can somehow be achieved that the parameter of TeX macro get to luafunction unchanged? In the debug.txt file is the result obtained. Bad linebreak in ToC

Hello, I don’t understand the behaviour in the second line – this line is not really filled, but there is a linebreak (in case of some hyphenations quite ugly too) Any solution? I solved the problem myself: First I used \showstruts to se struts - and only before and after the first line there were struts. Then I added the following argument into the \setlayerframed: strut=no \setlayerframed [Kontaktdaten] [ width=80mm, height=180mm, hoffset=50mm, voffset=50mm, frame=on, align=right, strut=no] {\FontKlein\setupinterlinespace[8pt] Ich bin Blindtext ...} I don't understand this problem with the strut but I solved it :-) Regards Jannis
