location of item seperator in simpleslides

Hi, I used rainbowstripe in SimpleSlides module today and I found that the item seperater locates in (or at) the margin. I thought that it is set "inmargin" or "atmargin". I'd like to know how to clear this setting. Thank you for reading. Best regards, Dalyoung

Problem with doublesided

Hello, because of problems with a double-sided document, I compared ConTeXt behaviour in TeXlive2010, TeXlive2011 and beta-version at contextgarden.net. I found out, unfortunately, that the following code works differently: only on TeXlive2010 version I received the proper design, i.e. even page has mark on the left, odd one on the right, while the TeXlive2011 and the beta produce single-sided layout, i.e. marks are on the right side in all pages. Or is there any special option in the current version? Hi, with the last beta \definefontfallback settings are ignored. typesetting bilingual texts

Hi there, I'm trying to understand how to typeset bilingual texts with ConTeXt. I'm new to ConTeXt and this is my third try to explain my questions on the matter. I'm afraid that I can't find the right documentation on it (or I wouldn't understand it, if I found it). If what I say is wrong (or I'm doing something wrong here), please tell me. On bilingual texts typesetting, I have the following examples: -Homer's “Iliad” and “Odyssey”: Greek text and translation. Original verse text and facing prose translation. Same numbers of paragraphs and titles (although Greek titles may contain only the number and translated titles may contain also text). -Hegel's »Phänomenologie des Geistes«: German text and translation. Same number of paragraphs and titles. -Goethe's “Faust”: Original text and facing verse translation. Same numbers of paragraphs and verses. Notes (marginal, footnotes, endnotes) might differ in the original and translated versions. Both body texts are similar in separation (paragraphs and titles). >From Wolfgang's example (http://www.ntg.nl/pipermail/ntg-context/2011/063353.html: the only document I have and that I cannot decipher), it seems that you have to type each translated paragraph after each original paragraph. Hegel's work cited above contains about 600 pages. Having to copy and paste every translated paragraph after every original paragraph sounds crazy (too much work). And as far as I understand computing, this shouldn't be a hard task to automatize. Hegel is only an example here, and having to mix both texts not only involves more work, but it might well lead to errors in the text itself (not typesetting, but typing). Not even asking about the code (yet): isn't it possible to typeset a bilingual document having separate streams that ConTeXt automatically synchronizes? searching for TEI on the wiki

Hi there, I don't know why when I search for TEI on the wiki (wiki.contextgarden.net/index.php?title=Special%3ASearch&search=tei) I get only an item that lists the desired page (http://wiki.contextgarden.net/TEI_xml) But if I use Google (http://wiki.contextgarden.net/google/new2.html?q=tei) the first occurrence is the right one. Barcodes

Hi there, is there a possibility to generate barcodes (Code128 and QR) in ConTeXt? I've had a look at pstricks but this seems broken. Something about ! "I can't find file `multido'." ? These barcodes are a Dealbreaker for my company, I know they work in LaTeX. I like ConTeXt better and since I'm gonna be the main user I'd really love to get some good news. Hi all, With Context MKIV 2012.01.02 21:59 the field mechanism is broken. It works with MKII. ... interactions > javascripts > loaded: library 'fld' ! Hi, a happy 2012 to all of you!!! Keeping up with the most recent version (2012.01.02) gives to much errors with my environment file... So, as the last version that I installed via rsync was 14th october 2011, I tried to manually install an "in-between" version. For example: cd /Users/steffen/context rsync -ptv rsync://contextgarden.net/minimals/setup/first-setup.sh . ./first-setup.sh --context=2011.11.29 --extras=all Unfortunately this "context=" flag doesn't work -- it gives 20120102 too. Any ideas how to install a december 2012 version? Steffen --- Mac (10.6.8)

Makempy ...

Hi Metafun gurus! I should produce a glyph large as 300 by 150mm. So I thought to use metafun/makempy facilities. However I get no output with ConTeXt MKIV ver: 2012.01.02 21:59 When processing the file with MKII there is a fatal error, which is after stoptext in the attached test-file. Kind regards Willi

Here the results of my question: I asked my print-service, if the pdf I generated with the code (look at the end of this email), is ok. The text in the second frame should be overprinted. The answer of the printer: in the preflight he can see the overprinting, in the print-preview he can't. He was astonished - because he never had the difference between print-preview and preflight before. He is using Adobe Acrobat 10. Hope this information helps others to be cautious - an maybe someone can tell what's to do.
