Hi :-) I am trying to switch from LaTeX to ConTeXt and I'd like to add licensing information to the generated PDF, just like what the "hyperxmp" package would do for LaTeX. OT: TextMate2 has been opensourced (and comes with MacPorts now)

One of my favourite Mac editors (aka: dukenukemforevermaceditor) has recently been opensourced and can be installed via MacPorts (but also bought in the store to support developer). It's still in alpha, but ... it's there. Mojca PS: ConTeXt support by Patrick exists (it never became part of official distribution though, but maybe we could request that).

linenotes space for compress

Hi there, I have tried to add the compress option for linenotes to a commented edition that I'm trying to typeset (http://geoffreysteadman.com/) Sample is attached. And the relevant code for both apparatuses are: \definenote[dict] \setupnote[dict][n=2,rule=off, split=strict, inbetween=\hskip1.5em] \setupnotation[dict][number=no] \definelinenote[contxt] \setupnote[contxt][rule=off, paragraph=yes, split=strict, inbetween=\hskip1.5em] \setupnotation[contxt][numbercommand=,alternative=serried,distance=1em,compress=yes,compressseparator=] There is a problem (shown in the second apparatus from pages 1-3): compression space is also shown at line start with no previous text on that line. I'm afraid this is a bug. There is another issue with the blank space between compressed notes. They have more space than normal notes. This can be observed comparing the first compressed notes and the first numbered ones. I guess compressed notes have both spaces from numbered notes (the space before and the space after the number [inbetween option from setupnote and distance option from setupnotation]). I think there should be less space for compressed notes than for numbered notes. I think Idris and Thomas might give some insight into this issue. My suggestion would be to reduce the compressed space to the space before the number (inbetween option from setupnotes) or to enable a compressspace option in setupnotation (which would make sense mainly when compressseparator were disabled). There is another issue on pages 2 and 3: the separation between body and the dict linenotes is almost non-existent. I'm afraid this may be bug. BTW, I would like to put the contxt linenote numbers in old style. \setff{oldn} would be the command, but \setupnotation[contxt][numbercommand=\setff{oldn}] doesn't work. How can I get this? Grid lines color and disable

Hi, I want to change color to red to black in \showgrid. Is it possible? By the other hand, I want to enable/disable the grid alternatively: I want to have for example 5 blank new pages and then leave the grid: \showgrid[nonumber]{{\dorecurse{80}\page[empty]}} What command I have to run to disable grid in the next page? I use MKIV with minimals Thanks in advance, Xan. PS: Please, CCme

I had a quick look at it. It looks interesting, and at least superficially a bit like Lilypond, which I gave a try many years ago. But I think I will stay with Finale, which fulfills all my needs in the field of music notation, including, in recent versions, figured bass. My problem was not with music notation but with inserting some of the symbols and characters in a normal text. The stacked BC-figures are under control now. Other special symbols, like that for an augmented fourth, a diminished fifth and the "petite sixte" may become a problem. But I have not seen those in the impressively long list or symbols available in MUP either. Kind regards, Robert Blackstone

It is perfect. And it has at least one important advantage over the plain-TeX method, kindly offered by Michael Rogers, in that it uses the same font as that for he main text, which, in my case, will be probably a sans-serif font. The plain TeX solution, as far as I could see, uses only the serif version of LM, so it would haven given me serif-like figured bass symbols in an otherwise sans-serif document. Thank you very much.
