Hi, I have this: @mastersthesis{meva-memoria, author = "Bordoy, Xavier", title = "Algunes contribucions a l'estudi del problema de la paraula per a grups", school = "Departament de Ciències Matemàtiques i Informàtica. Universitat de les Illes Balears", year = "2009", address = "Palma de Mallorca", note = "Available in \from[bib:memoria-master] (in catalan)" } and when I put \placepublications[criterium=text] I only recive: "X. Bordoy, Master's thesis, Departament.... Univeritat... Palma de Mallorca (2009). Avaliable in .... (catalan)." but not title? Why? Can I display title in that? Thanks in advance, Xan.

\define a command with square-bracket arguments

Hi all, As I understand it, \define[2] is preferred over \def#1#2 because it refuses to overwrite existing commands. \define[2]\mycommand{code code code} defines a command to be invoked with \mycommand{...}{...} Can I use \define, or a related command, to define a command that takes square-bracket arguments, like so: \mycommand[...][...] ? When I type \define[1][2]\mycommand{code code code} that doesn't work. Cheers, Sietse

Referring to multiple elements

Hi, how can I refer to multiple elements at the same time? \starttext \startplacefigure [title=foo, reference=alpha] \stopplacefigure \startplacefigure [title=bar, reference=beta] \stopplacefigure \startplacefigure [title=bar, reference=gamma] \stopplacefigure \in{figure}[alpha,beta,gamma] \stoptext This outputs “figure 1”. Hello, Can someone indicate how to typeset $L_{α+β}$ as verbatim text? (\arg{} doesn't help here...) Furthermore, I suppose that typesetting Greek characters verbatim depends also upon which \tt font is being used. Alan

[tabulate] colored background

Hi all, the background mechanism of tabulations is quite simplistic: it extends only to the first line of a cell irrespective of its length. Example: ······································································· \starttext \starttabulate[|p|r|] \CM [red] \input knuth \NC was said by The Don \NC \AR \stoptabulate \stoptext ······································································· Is there a way to get the whole cell covered? Parsing [key=value, key2=value2, ...] with Lua

Hi all, I've found a helper function that does this: utilities.parsers.settings_to_hash('ape=1, note=2, mice=3') --> { ["ape"] = 1, ["note"] = 2, ["mice"] = 3 } This makes me very happy. This function and its friends are stored under utilities.parsers, and defined in util-prs.lua; I've listed them below. Perhaps they'll be useful to somebody else, too. I should probably add this info to http://wiki.contextgarden.net/Commands_with_KeyVal_arguments, but dinner first. metapost dashpattern (on 1) not shown in Mountain Lion Preview

Dear all, I just upgrade to Mountain Lion and found out that "dashed dashpattern (on 1)" no longer shows any line in Preview. The attached file is a snapshot of the Preview window showing the pdf file generated by the following code. \starttext \startMPpage draw unitsquare scaled 4cm dashed dashpattern (on 1cm off 1cm) ; draw unitsquare scaled 4cm shifted (5cm,0) dashed dashpattern (on 1cm) ; draw unitsquare scaled 4cm shifted (10cm,0) dashed dashpattern (off 1cm) ; setbounds currentpicture to boundingbox currentpicture enlarged 0.1cm ; \stopMPpage \stoptext You can see, from the attached file, that the unitsquare which was supposed to appear in the middle does not show up in the Preview window. However the same file is displayed correctly in Acrobat Reader. I am not sure whether it is a context problem, or it is just a bug in Mountain Lion. I found out this issue when I saw that all the pdf files I previously generated with gnuplot context term are showing up incorrectly under the Preview after upgrading to Mountain Lion. I had to change the dash pattern in file "metapost/context/third/gnuplot/mp-gnuplot.mp", so the pdf generated by gnuplot context term can be viewed correctly with Preview under Mountain Lion. No entry in the list of figures? (now without .pdf)

Hello, suppose the following example: ---- \starttext \startappendices \placelistoffigures % OK \placefigure[place]{Caption}{\externalfigure[cow][width=.25\textwidth]} \chapter{Foto} % Try to comment this! \placelistoffigures % No entry \placefigure[place]{Caption}{\externalfigure[mill][width=.25\textwidth]} \stopappendices \stoptext ---- This would generate two LOFs - one in the begin of the document, another in the chapter "Foto". Both of them should have two entries - "cow" and "mill". The former is OK; but the latter has no entry. If you comment "\chapter{Foto}", both LOFs are OK. What's the problem? When using the Type 1 versions of the Lucida fonts, -- and --- don't work as expected. However, the following do work in their place. \uchar{32}{19} (for the -- ndash) \uchar{32}{20} (for the --- mdash) Can I redefine -- and --- to use the \uchar commands? Troy Henderson

Space after caption of a float

Hello, is there a built-in parameter for \setupcaptions which would affect the space after the caption? Or any other way? - Images here seem to me too close to each other; and I'm not able to add some extra space after the caption to get a bit bigger gap to the next object (image, text, whatever).
