Misplaced figure

Hi, I wanted to start a proof with "Proof:" in italics and place a figure next to the right margin. There are many ways to accomplish this, but my normal way, {\it Proof:\/}, fails. Header without chapters/sections

I would like to create a header on every page with some fixed text in the header. Simply doing \setupheadertexts[Some text] \setupheader[state=start] Does not produce a header on any page, yet \setupfootertexts[Some text] \setupfooter[state=start] does produce a footer on every page. Why does one work and the other does not? Troy Henderson

Need help with \definetabulate

Hi, I am trying to define two tabulate styles as follows: - \setuptabulate[split=yes, bodyfont=small] - \setuptabulate[split=yes] ...such that I can just refer to them when I \starttabulate...\stoptabulate somewhere. I thought, the command \definetabulate would come in handy here, but I can't work it out and it appears the documentation on that command is pretty scarce. http://wiki.contextgarden.net/Command/definetabulate Any help? Header-Footer-Layout

Hi, I would like to have a doublesided layout with: - a titlepage with neither header nor footer, - a frontpart with pagesnumbers(left/right) in roman - a bodypart with pagesnumbers(left/right) in arabic - an appendix with pagesnumbers(left/right) in arabic - first page of a chapter should not have a header + underline - next page header(CHAPTER #: chapter) underlined - next page header(section) underlined - if there is no section then only the line. - if the next page is empty than only the pagenumber should be printed. Seems to be a common layout and I apologize for asking. Thanks in advance for any help. Error with \section name

I encountered a strange error. If the section name contains "iffer" then an error is produced, with some joke-like comments. Minimal example: \starttext \chapter{One} \section{iffer} \stoptext The original title was "Differentiating an integral" but I kept taking away until I got to "iffer". Symbolsets, using Unicode symbols?

Hello! I'm having one of those ConTeXt moments when I feel really stupid, but I just cannot figure this out.... I'd need the heart symbol. You know, the one that goes on Facebook as <3. I think it is this Unicode symbol: ♥ U+2665 BLACK HEART SUIT ♥ or ♥ or &hearts; I'm using the LucidaOT (Unicode) font and my Mac should have some other of the basic symbol sets, but I just cannot figure out how to use the above knowledge to dish out the heart. (TeX culture shock, I think, I don't care about gazillion maths operators, I want my Dingbats and other little decorations.) I found the Symbols wiki page at http://wiki.contextgarden.net/Symbols, but cannot figure out how to implement it: - the command \usesymbols[uni] gives 'symbols > unknown: library 'uni'' in the log. - the command \showsymbolset is just as hopeless: command \showsymbolset not found in file symb-run So, what bit in that process have I missed or not understood? I'm running mkIV in ConTeXt version Aug 17, 2012 in a Mac laptop. As Unicode and all that have been around for ages, this problem must be one of those you find between the chair and the screen! Chapters without chapter number

Hi all, I would like to ask what is the best way to achieve this: The title line of the chapter should be without the chapter number, but the chapter number should be on all subsequent pages in the header. I tried this: \setuphead [chapter] [header=empty, number=no ] \setupheadertexts[{\getmarking[chapternumber]. \getmarking[chapter]}] which makes the title of the chapter on the first page correctly without the chapter number, but then I have no chapter number on subsequent pages in the header. It looks like setting "number=no" in \setuphead definition breaks my expected behaviour of marking. So I tried: \setuphead [chapter] [header=empty, sectionnumber=no ] but id didn't work either. So I ended by: \def\MyChapterTitle#1#2{#2}% \setuphead [chapter] [header=empty, command=\MyChapterTitle, ] \setupheadertexts[{\getmarking[chapternumber]. \getmarking[chapter]}] which is working like expected, but I wonder, why I am not able to achieve the result using keywords "number" or "sectionnumber". Defining a title font.

Trying to use an OTF font just for the title page. Issues with the legend mechanism

Hi, I discovered some issues with the legend mechanism. 1) A newline after \startplacelegend fails: \starttext \startplacelegend \startcontent Foo \stopcontent \startcaption Bar \stopcaption \stopplacelegend \stoptext 2) location != top | bottom throws “Infinite glue shrinkage found in a paragraph”: \starttext \startplacelegend [location=left] \startcontent Foo \stopcontent \startcaption Bar \stopcaption \stopplacelegend \stoptext 3) tabulate inside the content fails when not boxed: \starttext \startplacelegend [location=left] \startcontent \starttabulate \NC Alpha \NC Beta \NC\NR \stoptabulate \stopcontent \startcaption Bar \stopcaption \stopplacelegend \stoptext Just reporting, nothing which needs to be fixed before EuroTeX.
