Spelling out chapter numbers for novels.

It is now fashionable in the U.S. (and maybe elsewhere) to use a spelled-out chapter number in novels. Not finding a function to convert from a number register to a text string I created a brute force file that looks like this: ------------------------------ \def\chapstring{\ifcase\currentheadnumber\or One\or Two\or Three\or Four\or Five\or Six\or Seven\or Eight\or Nine\or Ten\or ... Ninety-eight\or Ninety-nine\else One hundred\fi} -------------------------------- This file enables authors to rearrange chapters without worrying about renumbering the chapters since it depends on \currentheadnumber. I wonder if there is a function in Context or elsewhere that does this for me? If not, anyone who wants the complete file can write me for a copy. I found I could achieve the desired layout by directly setting the width variable. Thank you. I first tried seting the markupwidth but it can't be set, but the width layout variable does work. \DL misfunctioning

I'm having some problems. Here is a minimum example showing the problem: Table #1 In the first case \DL[1] does not work and no line is displayed, but the columns line up nicesly. Table #2 In this table I accidentally got \DL[1] to work by added a \NC to th last row. BUT, the last row is not misaligned by about 1 character position. How could I get Example #2 below to align properly and why is \DL not working in example #1? hyphenate urls in a non hyphenated text

Hello, I'm making a flushleft document with no hyphenation. However, URLs are then not hyphenated either and end up in the margin. \hyphenateurl{} works only when setupalign[] is set to hyphenated. Repeat second-level registers within index

Hi, How do you prevent ConTeXt from hiding (collapsing?) duplicate level 2 index items? For example: \startitem 5 array \index{hedgehog+SECTION A}hedgehog \stopitem \startitem 7 army \index{herring+SECTION A}herring \stopitem \startitem 100 bloat \index{hippopotamuses+SECTION A}hippopotamuses \stopitem The text "SECTION A" will only appear once in the index, right after hedgehog. I would like it to appear once per index term, always. Conditional float references

Hi, a couple of times the question came up¹²³ how to create more intelligent referencing. There are already mechanisms in the core, namely \somewhere and \atpage but they both have drawbacks. \somewhere happily prints its text if the figure is placed on the same double page. In fact, no text at all should be printed if the figure is visible. Furthermore it's a little verbose to use unless hidden in a custom macro. \atpage on the other hand doesn't hesitate to print “see figure 1.2 at page 42” while you're on page 42. I'm aware that automatic generation of reference text is problematic since the text depends on the placement of floats which in turn depends on the text which might result in oscillation. I'm not sure how likely this is to occur in practice. I don't know if there's interest in integrating such functionality into the core.
