Standalone Installation Question

I downloaded and ran: $ sh ./$SETUPFILE --modules=all --engine=luatex --context=current # # The documentation on web page [ http://wiki.contextgarden.net/ConTeXt_Standalone#General_Information ] statess that: " An intialization script called setuptex is provided in installation-dir/tex/. " If you run context from a terminal, source setuptex like so: " source /installation-dir/tex/setuptex " BUT, first-setup.sh did not produce and populate any ./tex directory and there is no setuptex command file. What can I do to proceed from this point. Problem with link colors.

Hello ConTeXist. Where is my mistake, if I want to have external references a different color than the other (default) links (to sections, figures etc) defined by \setupinteraction? Thanx Jaroslav Hajtmar Here is my minimal example: \setupinteraction[state=start, style=normal, color=blue, contrastcolor=] \setupurl[style=type, color=green] \setupexternalfigures[location={local,default}] \useURL [garden] [http://wiki.contextgarden.net/][] [http://wiki.contextgarden.net/] \starttext \section[sect]{Section} This is testing Cow section. \placefigure[here][cowfig]{Cow figure in Section.} {\externalfigure[cow][width=7cm]} In \in {section}[sect] at \at {page}[sect] is \in {figure}[cowfig] (these links have the correct blue color). But this external link to URL \from[garden] should be {\green green} and should be {\green\tt tt font}. \stoptext

Using typescripts in Texlive 2013

I have written a program that generates for each typescript in texlive 2013 a test file like this: ------------------------------------------ \usetypescriptfile[type-imp-charter][all] \setupbodyfont[imp-charter,18pt] \starttext \rm Sphinx of black quartz, judge my vow, 1234567890 \rm Roman \bf Bold \bi Bold Italic \it Italic \sc Small Caps \crlf \crlf \stoptext ----------------------------------------- Most of these test files can't find the fonts and use the fallback fonts instead. Setting structureuservariable

Hello all, I've discovered the magic of structureuservariabl and have therefore converted all my headings to use the start/stop syntax. It's raised a few quick questions though: 1. Is \startchapter \stopchapter etc the "proper way" to do things from now on? Or is it really just up to the user? 2. Is there a way to provide a default value for a structureuservariable? I'd like to set a reference number based on a global counter if the user doesn't supply their own. 3. In a similar vein - is it possible to define a reference for a section if the user doesn't provide one. E.g. if they provide \startchapter[title=My Example Chapter] instead of: \startchapter[chap:examplechapter][title=My Example Chapter] can I set the reference for them? (I will have some sections that could be usefully auto-referenced). Many thanks in advance, Felix

Is this possible for the Frames

Hi everbody, I would like to do some very special settings using frames possibly structures to! NMW % declartion of MyFarme and setup \defineframed[MyFrame][framed] \setupframed[MyFrame][\rulethickness=3pt, frameoffset=.8 rulethickness] … startext \MyFrame[\rulethickness=3pt{What goes into the frame} stop I would like to adjust the frameoffset according to the value of \rulethickness, to be exact I would prefer using a command that calulates a value. How do I go about it. According to the Manuals and the Wiki I can use a command How can I access rulethickness in such a manner? I know I could right a command in lua that injects the proper output into the TeX stream, but I am afraid that the the side effects. Could do it in TeX to, but I am not that comfortable with TeX and processing key values therein. Any help and ideas appriciated. regards Keith.

Hi, How could I get the number of sections in a document please? The shell script, "context" which runs MKIV comes from this in TeXLive /texmf-dist/scripts/context/stubs/unix/context and not from MS-Windows. The unix in the above link to context leads me to believe that it is a unix Posix version of Context. Regardds

How to debug XML processing

Hello, After reading "Getting Web Content and pdf-Output from One Source" by Thomas A. Schmitz, i'm trying to use the same method to build a PDF file from a HTML one. But i quickly found that when something doesn't work as expected, it's pretty hard to debug because it's hard to tell if the error come from the environment file, the lua code or something else. So are there some useful tricks to debug this kind of processing besides the \enabletrackers command? Especially is there a way to view the generated ConTeXt code after the macro expansion?
