non standard tag for structure

Hans, with the following source, veraPDF-1.29.11 complains about a non-standard tag named /documentpart: \setuptagging[state=start] \setupbackend [format=PDF/A-3a, intent=sRGB IEC61966-2.1, level=0] \starttext whatever \pdfbackendactualtext{abc}{hoh} \stoptext The problematic object reads: 4 0 obj << /K 28 0 R /ParentTree 5 0 R /RoleMap << /break /NonStruct /document /Document /documentpart /DocumentFragment /navigationpage /NonStruct >> /Type /StructTreeRoot >> endobj If I replace (according to https://opensource.adobe.com/dc-acrobat-sdk-docs/pdfstandards/PDF32000_2008…) /documentpart with /Part, validation in veraPDF is perfectly fine. BTW, /DocumentFragment seems not to be included in PDF-1.7 (https://opensource.adobe.com/dc-acrobat-sdk-docs/pdfstandards/PDF32000_2008…) According to https://github.com/veraPDF/veraPDF-model/blob/4c8e855b68546547971121281ff2a…, /DocumentFragment seems to be only available in PDF-2.0. Providing a patch for strc-tag.lmt would be easy, but this would affect to ua-2 (which may use /DocumentFragment). Many thanks for your help, Pablo

nested context/lua calls

Hello, I have some code like this: --------------------------------- \def\MakeSomething{... some code that returns number 12} \startluacode function WorkWithSomething(data) -- call MakeSomething to obtain 12 -- base on the value above make some decisions end WorkWithSomething(some_data) \stopluacode --------------------------------- If I use context.MakeSomething() inside the lua block, this is buffered till the end of the block, so I can't get the result and work with it. If MakeSomething is a command already "edef-ed", I can use tokens.getters.macro.MakeSomething to find the value. If MakeSomething has an argument which is determined within the lua block, then I can't use this hack. The ugly partial solution I have found is to change the signature of WorkWithSomething to receive an argument and then I replicate the parameters of MakeSomething on the TeX side: --------------------------------- \def\MakeSomething#1{...} \startluacode function WorkWithSomething(data,MakeSomethingOutput) -- we wanted to use some computation on data to obtain input to MakeSomething -- then call MakeSomething to obtain its result end \stopluacode \ctxlua{WorkWithSomething(some_data, "\MakeSomething{replicate processing on data to obtain input to this macro}")} --------------------------------- Is there a more elegant solution? Ideally I want a way to start a TeX process under Lua, and process the macros there before I get to the next line of Lua code. In my motivation, MakeSomething is \datasetvariable. issue with compressmethod in linenotes (again)

Dear list, I have the following sample: \setuppapersize[A7] \definelinenote[othernote] [paragraph=yes, compress=yes, compressmethod=separator] \setuplinenote[paragraph=yes, compress=yes, compressmethod=stopper] \setupnotation[linenote, othernote] [alternative=serried] \starttext \startlinenumbering \dorecurse{25} {a\linenote{b}\othernote{c} } \stoplinenumbering \stoptext I’m afraid I get both methods between notes from the same line and after the the last note from the line (and the number and note from the next line). Sorry for insisting, but if this isn’t a bug, I really don’t know what I’m missing. Many thanks for your help, Pablo

expansion and doifelse

Hello, Here's a MNWE: ------------------------------- \starttext \def\A{a} %\def\A{b} \ctxlua{LuaA("\doifelse{\A}{a}{ey}{bee}")} \stoptext ------------------------------- I put \expanded and \expandafter here and there, but couldn't get this to work. Is the problem due to \doifelse scanning its input? If yes, how can we handle this? Thanks, Mohammad

wrong compressmethod=separator as stopper too?

Dear list, I have the following sample: \setuppapersize[A7] \setuplinenote[paragraph=yes, compressmethod=separator, compress=yes, compressseparator={\|\|}] \starttext \dorecurse{25} {a\linenote{b} } \stoptext The || separator is also used as a stopper. As far as I understood (and ConTeXt behaved like that last time I used this feature) the separator command replaces the repeated line number. It should not be used as an stopper (or to mark the separation with next line). Could anyone be so kind to confirm that this is unintended and that I’m not missing anything? Inconsistency in \sc

mathmatrix: Aligning row baseline to text baseline

Greetings, This is little more than a pet peeve of mine, but the `location=normal` option for `mathmatrix` has the matrix's center row baseline misaligned with the baseline of the math around. The severity of the misalignment seems to correlate with interline space settings — more space, worse the misalignment. Is it possible to align the baselines? I've been spoiled by LaTeX's `tabularray` package — it has an undocumented value for its `baseline` key. Setting it to `M` does exactly what I want. footnotes with separate lines

I am wondering if there is a solution to the problem I have just encountered. I have a footnote that requires separate lines. I have achieved that in a straightforward case as follows: \footnote{1770 – the discovery\\ 1778 – the invasion\\ 1824 – the war of extermination\\ 1901 – the Constitution} That works, but if I add \setupinteraction[state=start] to the file it does not. That particular footnote causes the compilation to go into an endless loop. All other footnotes are ok. I tried replacing the \\ with \crlf but that has the same result. I tried \start...\stoplines in the hope that this might work inside a footnote, but it doesn't. Of course, I do not understand what is happening between 'interaction' and what I am doing with this particular footnote, but clearly it is problematic. Any way I can get my separate lines and still have interaction working in that file? Julian
