Dear participants of last year’s context meeting, after a lot of procrastination and more or less resolving several technical and personal issues, I’m finally ready to work on the context journal (proceedings of the 17th context meeting in Sibřina). If I didn’t overlook anything, I got only a preliminary version of Massi’s article so far (directly after the meeting). So, please submit your talks/articles now! Additional articles (that are not related to a meeting talk in 2023 or 2024) are also welcome! Best, Hraban

Hi all, Is it possible to have different background colors for different cells in flow charts ? For instance in the following example, is it possible to have a particular color for each cell ? roman numerals frontpart

Something that has worked for me in the past is not working for me at the moment, and I cannot figure out why: \startsectionblockenvironment [frontpart] \setupuserpagenumber [numberconversion=romannumerals] \setcounter [userpage] [5] \stopsectionblockenvironment \startsectionblockenvironment [bodypart] \setcounter [userpage] [1] \stopsectionblockenvironment gives me roman numerals in the TOC but not on the frontmatter pages, which are arabic. Bodymatter is okay. What could I possibly be doing wrong? Even with a different setup I get the same result: \definestructureconversionset [frontpart:pagenumber] [] [romannumerals] \setupheads[title][sectionconversionset=section] \startsectionblockenvironment[frontpart] \setupuserpagenumber[numberconversion=romannumerals] \setuppagenumber[number=1] \stopsectionblockenvironment Puzzling (for me at least). Inconsistencies with fonts/c2sc feature

Greetings, I have been trying to make font feature sets that allow me to write abbreviations in small caps and corporate entity/product/etc names with small caps replacing regular ones. I have run into an issue where c2sc works as intended on some fonts and not in others. No idea what that's about. MWE: %\definefontfeature [default] [default] [script=latin] \definefontfeature [default] [default] [script=cyrillic] \definefontfeature [capstosc] [c2sc=yes] \definefontfeature [smallcaps] [cpsp=yes, smcp=yes, lowercasing=yes] \setupbodyfont[stix] %\setupbodyfont[newcomputermodern-book] \starttext {\language[ru]Моя любимая {\feature[+][smallcaps]ОС}---{\feature[+][capstosc]Линукс}.}\crlf {\language[en]My favourite {\feature[+][smallcaps]OS} is {\feature[+][capstosc]Linux}.} \stoptext With STIX Two, c2sc (and smcp) works with any language as long as one doesn't select a script in the font features, else it only works with the chosen script. With New Computer Modern, it just doesn't work with any latin text no matter the script chosen. That is, plain small caps work, caps to small caps don't. What could be the reason to it? Trouble installing on Alpine Linux

Hi, I'm looking into typesetting conversion tables, reference charts, scales and rulers in ConTeXt, and am wondering if anyone has done this or might have suggestions / pointers. Spacing within combinations

Greetings, The attached MWE combines 12 images in a 3 by 4 grid; with horizontal and vertical spacing set by setupcombinations. I have two questions. First, can someone please tell me why the vertical spacing is not applied between the first and second and third and fourth rows? Second, why, If I try, e.g.c 15 images, does ConTeXt complain of a missing left brace. More generally, my mwe failed with an odd number of images, but succeeded with an even number. Thanks.
