hi, I'm creating a command that can format multiple choice questions on my own. I've done most of it at the moment. But I want more, so I'm trying to create more versions of this command that is already nearing completion. So I'm using the following command to create a command with more possibilities. I've noticed that ‘startitem stopitem’ isn't working. (If you can't figure out why I needed to see a number, look up 'weird error' in the index to The TeXbook.) No problems with this versions: current version: 2023.02.07 19:06 current version: 2024.04.01 08:59 Were there changes how we have to treat environment files? The error only occurs when I use "--mode=trimsize" but I cannot track down the error by removing environments with mode-specific definitions. The first environment file does not contain any mode-specific definitions. Any hints? TIA juh

Hi, I am making a table using \starttabulate … I want row expansion last 3 columns and put a title “q” at the center of last 3 clolumns. I \NS[3][c] following the example in the wiki. However, it doesn’t work. The following code run without error message, but “[3][c]” appeared at the beginning of the first row in the output. How can I do that? Thank you. Best regards, Dalyoung

Issues with included images on some epub readers

Hi, I'm not sure whether the following is an issue with ConTeXt or with the epub readers I'm using; my apologies for the noise if it's not relevant to this list! I was experimenting creating ebooks with ConTeXt, and found it works very well on most epub readers (except with Calibre, as was previously reported on this list) as far as text is concerned, although I am having issues displaying images. Images appear correctly in the exported html file when opened with Firefox or Chromium, so I suspect the issue may either come from difference in specs for the epub and html formats or from bugs in the epub readers I have tried (Mupdf, Koodo, and Foliate). It seems that manually adding <img alt="image-1" src="../images/test-exported-1.svg"> in the .html file makes it appear with recent epub readers, though. Is it possible to have the html output generated by ConTeXt include images in this way (or tune the way images are included in another way which may work better with recent epub readers)? Run-in heading problem with \startparagraph and empty lines

Hello list, Why is an empty after \startparagraph treated differently when the \startparagraph directly follows a heading with alternative=text than when there is no heading before, or a different type of heading, as shown in the following example? \setuphead[section] [alternative=text, style=\it] \starttext \startsection[title=Run-in heading] \startparagraph Works with no blank after \tex{startparagraph} \stopparagraph \stopsection \startsection[title=Run-in heading] \startparagraph Fails with a blank after \tex{startparagraph} \stopparagraph \stopsection \stoptext With every other heading alternative there appears to be no difference in the output. -- Rik

How to get enumerated tables to line up with the left edge of text?

I created this simple example to show, when I add enumerations to my tables, its indenting the content. How can I stop this indentation from happening? Why isn't font changing inside tabulate environment?

I need to make a symbol, checkmark, appear inside a table. It is from a different font. If I use this, it displays the checkmark in the document: {\switchtobodyfont[garamondsymbols, 12 pt]✔} But inside a tabulate environment, it stops displaying the checkmark. [ extra line in last tabulate column ]
