additional space with sidebar and narrower

Ahoi, I’m trying to mark examples in a book with indent (\startnarrower) and a rule in the margin (\startsidebar). Each of those works on its own as it should, but combined there’s an additional empty line before and after introduced that I can’t get rid of. Breakable thin space in TeX

Write your own module?

Hi, I'd like to start writing a module, and test it using ConTeXt MkIV standalone installation. Dived into wiki.contextgarden.net but was unable to find a basic tutorial on how to tackle this. Yes, I did find a module template, but can't figure out where the module should go such that ConTeXt can find and load it. Any hint would be very helpful. Thanks in advance! Regards, Gerard

Bug when mathmatrix is used inside mathalign

Hi, It was reported on TeX.SE[1] that there is a bug when math matrix is used inside a math align: \starttext \startformula \startalign[n=2,align={right,left}] \NC x \NC = a ~ long ~ sequence ~ of ~ terms \NR \NC y \NC = ok ~ left \NR \NC \startmatrix[left={\left\lbrack},right={\right\rbrack}] \NC x \NR \NC y \NR \stopmatrix \NC = why ~ right? \NR \NC y \NC = ok ~ left ~ again \NR \stopalign \stopformula \stoptext gives https://i.stack.imgur.com/ZTAp3.png It appears that \startmatrix globally resets \NC. How to repeat the hyphen?

Hi all, in composed words with hyphen inside (e.g. modro-zelený = blue-green), the hyphen character must be repeated at the beginning of the new line (modro-/-zelený). This rule is obligatory for Czech and Slovak typesetting. I am able to implement this feature by defining a new command (see \def\= below) but it means that all appearances of "-" must be replaced (manually) in the source text. I tried all options of \setuphyphenation but no one gives the correct result. Is there any way in ConTeXt how to set it by default? issue with symbol in attachments

Dear list, I have the following sample: \setupinteraction[state=start] \setuppapersize[A9] \starttext \attachment[xml-mkiv.pdf]\\ \attachment[xml-mkiv.pdf] [symbol=Pushpin width=fit, width=fit, depth=fit]\\ \attachment[xml-mkiv.pdf] [symbol=Default]\\ \attachment[xml-mkiv.pdf] [symbol=Paperclip]\\ \attachment[xml-mkiv.pdf] [symbol=Graph]\\ \attachment[xml-mkiv.pdf] [symbol=Pushpin]\\ \stoptext Symbols aren’t distorted with comments, although option "Default" doesn’t seem to work well. \setupinteraction[state=start] \setuppapersize[A9] \starttext \comment[xml-mkiv.pdf]\\ a\comment[xml-mkiv.pdf] [symbol=Default]\\ b\comment[xml-mkiv.pdf] [symbol=Newparagraph]\\ c\comment[xml-mkiv.pdf] [symbol=Note]\\ d\comment[xml-mkiv.pdf] [symbol=Insert]\\ e\comment[xml-mkiv.pdf] [symbol=Help]\\ \stoptext Can anyone confirm that all attachment symbols are distorted, except the first one? Incorrect offset when textframe is used inside TEXpage

Hi, With the latest beta, the following example: \definetextbackground [test] [ location=paragraph, ] \starttext \startTEXpage[offset=5cm] \starttest \input knuth \stoptest \stopTEXpage \stoptext gives the attached output. Note that in the output the left and right offsets are zero. Any ideas why this is happening and how to fix that. Thanks, Aditya
