Undefined control sequence: \pdfpxdimen

The drops module uses the primitive \pdfpxdimen in a couple of places, but that is no longer defined in the current beta. What is the equivalent command now? Examples of usage: \pdfpxdimen1in\relax\divide\pdfpxdimen\numexpr\dropsparameter\c! resolution\relax % set actual pixel dimension Aditya

Outputting custom types in MKiv bibliography

Hello, I’m trying to create my first publication using ConTeXt mkiv. All going well except for the bibliography formatting. Previously I have used LaTeX, standard entry types in BibTeX, and custom output formats using Biblatex. My publication cites lots of historical sources, viz.: (1) Newspaper articles — currently stored as ‘article’ types in BibTex. (2) Archival sources (historic letter, some leather-bound volume, a catalogued box of old photographs, etc.) — currently stored as ‘unpublished’ or ‘misc'. I would prefer to store these (in BibTeX, buffer, lua, or xml) as custom types (eg. ‘newspaper’, ‘archivalItem’), create setups for how they are output and which fields I output. I found a ’newspaper’ type (and other non-BibTeX types) defined in publ-imp-apa.mkiv as: \startsetups btx:apa:list:newspaper \fastsetup{btx:apa:list:article} \stopsetups I hoped this would mean I could output something: Boxing. (1903, September 13). The Sunday Times, p.8 However, if I create an item of type 'newspaper’ and \cite it I get an output of all stored fields: newspaper: [day: 13] [journal: {The Sunday Times}] [month: 09] [pages:8][title: {Boxing.}] [type: newspaper article] [year: 1903] A similar thing happens if I try to cite the standard BibTeX type ‘misc’. If I store the newspaper item as type ‘article’ I get: “Boxing.”, The Sunday Times, 8, 1903. (missing day and month) Is it relevant that there is a problem when I include \showbtxfields[rotation=30] in my document? The resulting table has ‘*’ for fields in ‘article’, ‘book’, ‘demo-a’, ‘demo-b’ but the columns for ‘newspaper’ and ‘misc’ are empty. Any pointers gratefully received. Cheers, Mike O’Connor P.S. double followtokens?

Dear list, I have the following sample: \useMPlibrary[txt] \starttext \startuseMPgraphic{followtokens} path RotPath ; RotPath := reverse halfcircle ; % path RotPath ; RotPath := halfcircle rotatedaround (origin, 180) ; \stopuseMPgraphic \followtokens{Just follow the tokens} \stoptext How can I get both paths (in diverse directions)? I would like to repeat the same text twice, separating both sentences with a character. I have to ask this, beause MetaPost is all Greek to me. Dear wizards, in a list command (i.e. \setuplist[command=\MyCmd]) I use \currentlistentrypagenumber to show the page number. Now I’d like to make this a link, like in a normal ToC. future versions

Hi, Around the upcoming context meeting we expect to release luatex 1.09 (or 1.10 ... yet undecided) which is the prelude to the next year tex live version. It's another step towards a stable version in terms of functionality as we don't expect much more to be added (in fact, I'm wondering if it makes sense to come up with a leaner and meaner version at some point because context can probably benefit from that). Of course under the hood there are improvements possible and we have some ideas (that might materialize at some point) but generally spoken, this is what one gets. That said, a logical question is how about next versions of context. Are there fundamental features missing? Is more needed? Keep in mind that we're not talking of desk top publishing (click and point and place stuff) and also not of word processing (office like stuff) but of mostly automated structured document rendering. Also, keep in mind the landscape that we operate in (context development is mostly user driven as publishers imo long ago lost interest in any research and development and the potential of tex and friends is largely unknown elsewhere). It's not my intention to implement each possible feature as core feature (no one would document it anyway). Also, as development is basically a spare time effort, don't expect complex commercially interesting niches to come for free either as in that case one can wait till I a find a reason for implementing it for fun or development is driven by a project. When thinking of future additions, tex, lua, metapost of a mix is possible. They should be of interest for more than one user. Of course it can also be that everything needed is there. Maybe existing mechanisms can be improved in terms of functionality or performance (although i think that performance wise we're ok). But again keep in mind that the boundary conditions (all these interacting sub mechanisms) also prohibit some functionality. using both footnotes and endnotes in a document

A puzzle for note specialists: I would like to use both endnotes as well as footnotes in one and the same document, for different kinds of notes. Ideally, I should be able to write something like: ----- Here is a footnote,\footnote{The footnotes comes here.} and now comes an note that should appear at the end of my text.\endnote{And this is the endnote.} ----- For this I would need commands for determining the kind of markers for the notes (I know what to do for footnotes: this looks like \setupfootnotes [conversion=characters]; but what does one do for endnotes?)
