Well, I would be very interested in having texlive binaries for OpenBSD. It would help me to get a fine tune install and, I hope, to have biber available, which is not the case nowadays (I have to ssh linux to compile my bibliographies). I didn't complain since I do not know how to package and build anything at all. Mojca kindly tried to compile it last May on my -stable installation after last bachotex, but it failed. Unfortunately, I did not take the time to ask for binaries later on (though Mojca suggested I should do it). Best regards, Damien Thiriet > no one else has come > forward. xml in lua: how to say "ancestor"?

Hi all, no real example, just snippets, sorry: I need to process xml documents in lua (because I want to collect information in tables). The structure is a bit irregular: <document> <chapter title="One"> <section title="One"> <subsection title="One"> Text </subsection> </section> </chapter> <chapter title="Two"> <subsection title="One"> Text </subsection> </chapter> </document> So chapters may or may not have sections. If, on the level of my subscetions, I want to extract the information of the chapter title, in a ConTeXt environment, I could say \xmlattribute{#1}{ancestor::chapter}{title}. How could I do the same in lua? I have something like xml.attribute(e, "../../chapter", "title", "") but that only works for the first case, not the second one. I tried to understand the lpegs in lxml-lpt.lua, but didn't succeed. Thanks, and best wishes Thomas

Thank you for all your answers. I will have a look at the texmf/doc/context/presentation file which is not bundled with my 2015 OpenBSD package (at least find did not return it) and keep on learning. Have a nice day, Damien Thiriet

compression not working in linenotes

Problem with usemodule[graph]

ConTeXt minimals on linux armhf

Hi all, since yesterday, the installation of the minimals on linux armhf doesn't work anymore. On a fresh system, after "sh ./first-setup.sh" I get: receiving incremental file list bin/ bin/luatex bin/mtx-update.lua bin/mtxrun bin/texlua -> luatex sent 92 bytes received 8,631,278 bytes 1,150,849.33 bytes/sec total size is 8,628,902 speedup is 1.00 ./bin/mtxrun:2763: attempt to index global 'fio' (a nil value) When you want to use context, you need to initialize the tree by typing: . /usr/local/context/tex/setuptex in your shell or add "/usr/local/context/tex/texmf-linux-armhf/bin" to PATH variable if you want to set it permanently. This can usually be done in .bashrc, .bash_profile (or whatever file is used to initialize your shell). I suspect, the new mtxrun binary doesn't match the rather old luatex (1.0.0) Greetings Lutz P.S. I could provide luatex and luajittext binaries for armhf (experimental or trunk)

Formula numbering conversion

The following code is documented to change the numbering of the equations. However, this still use numerals for the equations. \setupformulas[conversion=characters] \starttext \placeformula[test] \startformula E = mc^2 \stopformula \stoptext Is this a bug ? Is it the correct way to change the numbering ? Any help is welcome. Thank you in advance, Antoine C.

two framed item lists side by side

Dear context user: I would like to put two itemized lists side by side (1cm between them), top aligned. I inserted each lists in framedtext and tried to use combinations but the distance between the two frames is too big, and the list are not top aligned. What would be a correct solution? I don't need the frame to be drawn. Why distance=1cm and width=12cm have no effect in my code? xtables different frame thickness for one side only

Dear context users: Is it possible to change the rulethickness of one side of a row in xtables? I the example below I'd like the bottom of the first row to be thicker than other sides. \starttext \startxtable[frame=on] \startxrow % bottom frame of this row should be thicker \startxcell AAA \stopxcell \startxcell BBB \stopxcell \stopxrow \startxrow \startxcell CCC \stopxcell \startxcell DDD \stopxcell \stopxrow \stopxtable \stoptext If I understand correctly xtables uses framed mechanism. For framed I could not find an option to change the frame thickness of individual sides. There's only rulethickness option which applies to all sides. According to this what I want to do in xtabels is not feasible. Please correct if I misunderstand something. Thanks you in advance, bcsikos
