loading and executing xml-buffer

I did not succeed in on-the-fly loading data from an xml-buffer and subsequently executing its content. The accompanying minimal example of a <document> shows what I strive to accomplish. The node <buffer> contains the buffered data (abc meant to be set in bold) and node <getbuffer> executing the typesetting. As can be seen the output the xyz outside <buffer> is correctly set in bold, but the contents of <buffer> is not processed: the xml is just reproduced. Obviously there is some misunderstanding on my part. I would like to be pointed in the right direction. wrong handling of hash char in \useURL

Hello list, When I try to use hash in a URL like this \useURL[protr][http://wiki.contextgarden.net/Protrusion\#MkIV] I'm getting correct address on the screen but wrong link (http://wiki.contextgarden.net/Protrusion/#MkIV) When I use \startasciimode \useURL[protr][http://wiki.contextgarden.net/Protrusion#MkIV] \stopasciimode I'm getting correct link but wrong url on the screen (http://wiki.contextgarden.net/Protrusion##MkIV) Any ideas? Resume module with moderncv interface

Hello, I am trying to use the resume module with the moderncv interface without any success so far. I have errors when I am trying to use any of the added commands like \setresumevalue or \cvline. Log file is attached. Here is my context file (CV.tex) : \usemodule[resume][interface=moderncv,style=casual] \starttext \setresumevalue{firstname} {John} \setresumevalue{familyname}{Doe} \startresume \cvline{A} {B} \stopresume \stoptext I have compared the list of the installed files of an old version of the ubuntu context-modules package (http://packages.ubuntu.com/fr/precise/all/context-modules/filelist) with a recent one (http://packages.ubuntu.com/fr/xenial/all/context-modules/filelist) and it seems to me that the moderncv interface was removed in ConTeXt some time ago. Anywhere. Not in the ConTeXt distribution nor in TeX Live. That file was only posted to the mailing list by Idris and apparently nobody ever looked at it or added it anywhere. (It usually helps to provide a minimal example or a bit more context. Just saying that something doesn't work is a bit more difficult to debug.) If you want to get this work out of the box, it would be super useful to coordinate with the original author of tikz-cd to add support for ConTeXt. And if any other patches are needed, we should try to coordinate with upstream TikZ authors as well. I'm not sure what to do with "&" though. We could theoretically add that file to the ConTeXt distribution, but we'll then end up with other people asking why it doesn't work in TeX Live and I certainly cannot afford to do unauthorized changes to other TikZ files without getting a formal approval that something is broken and without at least getting some patch scheduled for approval by TikZ developers. So if you want to get that working temporarily, it's probably best to follow instructions in that email. If you want to get it fixed properly, we should convince the authors to add support upstream. I didn't look at the file(s) yet. Mojca PS: I have to add that I'm recently experiencing problems syncing with upstream TikZ sources - CVS (this has been a problem for perhaps two months or so).

buffering inside xmlsetups

A problem I am obviously not able to solve. It can be described as follows. I have an xmlsetup <tex>..</tex> that typesets texcode embedded in an xml document. Now it is needed to embed initializing a buffer and typesetting lateron with \getbuffer. Alas, doing the following does not woek: <tex> \startbuffer[name] bufferdata \stopbuffer </tex> because the TeX input hangs. My guess being that the \stopbuffer fails to terminate the data intake. I then tried to split off the buffer filling with a separate xmlsetup. But here too, the TeX input halts: % Usage: <buffer name="name"> \startxmlsetups xmlcommon:buffer \startbuffer[name=\xmlatt{#1}{name}] \xmlflush{#1} \stopbuffer \stopxmlsetups % Usage: <getbuffer name="name"> \startxmlsetups xmlcommon:getbuffer \xmlflushcontext{\getbuffer[name=\xmlatt{#1}{name}]} \stopxmlsetups and as input: <buffer name="name">inputdata</buffer> followed by . The getbuffer setup is not even reached, as is obvious. I tried \xmltofile to put the data into an intermediate file, but to no avail because it produces the following, leading at best to recursion when processed by \xmlprocessfile. <?xml version="1.0" ?>  <buffer> bufferdata </buffer> Is there a solution to this? itemize columns transposed

\showmathfontcharacters ?

Why do I get an error on \starttext \showmathfontcharacters \stoptext When that macro is defined in s-mat-10.mkiv as \unexpanded\def\showmathfontcharacters {\dodoubleempty\doshowmathfontcharacters} ConTeXt ver: 2013.04.16 12:08 MKIV beta fmt: 2013.4.19 int: english/english ! Unable to use Martin Vogels Symbols

Hello, I am using debian testing and I am trying to use Martin Vogels Symbols with no success so far. I have compiled a file containing the following : \usesymbols[mvs] \setupsymbolset [martinvogel 2] \starttext Telephone : \symbol[Telephone] \stoptext But it failed to show the telephone symbole in the pdf, unless compiled with texexec instead of context. I have the following lines in the log file (in attachement) : fonts > defining > forced type 'ttf' of 'marvosym' not found fonts > defining > font with asked name 'marvosym' is not found using lookup 'file' fonts > defining > unknown font 'marvosym', loading aborted fonts > defining > unable to define 'marvosym.ttf' as 'currentsymbolfont--0' marvosym.ttf is located here : /usr/share/fonts/truetype/ttf-marvosym/marvosym.ttf. Then I tried to reload manually the fonts like this : $ export OSFONTDIR="/usr/share/fonts" $ mtxrun --script fonts --reload $ context --generate Normally marvosym.ttf should be found but it isn't the case as showed by the following command : $ mtxrun --script fonts --list --all --pattern=marvosym* marvosym marvosym marvosym.afm marvosymwithtexsupport marvosym marvosym.afm marvosymwithtexsupportnormal marvosym marvosym.afm Thanks for any help, Jonas

typeset page in page

I would like to typeset a page in small format (for example A5) and immediately put the result on the current page (for example in A4 format).
